The Next Charge is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 1.7 MB to download. The new Next Charge app version 1.0 has been updated on 2014-11-23. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I downloaded the app it looked promising in theory and fills a important niche for planning a long distance trip in an elecric car We are about to embark on a 500 mile trip in our new bolt and the kind of planning Next charge appears to provide seemed welcome However I quickly disovered its list of charge stations is incomplete While the chargepoint app seems to suggest that I can easily drive fro DC to south carolina Next charge says the journey would not be possible with use of just DC combo fast chargers Next I tried to add some missing stations to the app and was told these would be reviewed before they were incorporated this is probably a good thing But the next thing I know I can no longer make a new itinerary I default to a screen that asks if I would like to help the app if so I would be granted 10 new itineraries Till this point I had no idea that there was a limit on how many itineraries I could plan using this app Are there in use purchases required Not obvious while downloading that it is not free or has limitations on how many searches it can be used for Very confusing but promising still figuring it out ipad fan1282

I rarely leave reviews but had to after installing this app late last night when desperately trying to find a charging station for my all electric car I used several of my last precious electric miles to be directed to 3 yes THREE different stations that did NOT even exist The first station was a church s private charge cord for the electric church shuttles that was plugged into their own vehicles NOT for the public s use The next 2 were supposedly in a parking garage for 24 hour Fitness gym a long time employee said there was no such thing there ever How does this app even get to say they are a Charging Station finder app If I could leave NO STARS I would Don t bother wasting your time precious miles trying to chase down their imaginary charging stations INEXCUSABLE BOOO A SHAM And a shame sheargeneD
