121515 Heard back from Navigon Going through the motions with them now in hopes they can figure out what is wrong My wifes version works I believe this has something to do with the map version I have Update Well thanks to something another reviewer posted I tried turning off iCloud and that fixed my problem Appears there is a bug still with using iCloud Three stars until it is fixed I still cannot save home as a destination or any other favorite for that matterNever heard from Navigon Will try againHey Navigon if you are reading these do you think you could contact me Since the last update previous to this one I have not been able to save destinations after exiting the app So you set the home location or save any favorite and close it out and its gone Recent locations do remain I was hoping this update fixed the problem Yes I deleted it and reinstalled to no avail I just sent a note to CS Hopefully they will contact me with a solution I do not know if it was this past update on the one prior but states in the East are disappearing I purchased Eastern US and later added the rest of the USA only to be losing the ability to navigate in my home state not to mention most of the rest of the zone update Navigon has responded an are helping me with he problem More to come conclusion Navigon Customer Service resolved the issue Thats all you can ask when you run into a problem Thanks for your diligence Navigon The app itself is great I just kept losing the ability edit the states in the original zone that I purchased It appears to have been related to the way the maps updated           Destinations Not Saving

All favorites were gone It starts with map manager every time I open it Edited07312015 Issue still not resolved     From 5 star to 1

Audio is messed up when direction is given Pauses before it speaks and pauses again after its done speaking Super annoying Otherwise Ive loved this app but if this isnt corrected soon I may have to find an alternative        Audio issue

This is a great gps app I have discovered you can load routes into this app from google maps using ITNConverter which makes it all the better It works great except for one thing You can only import 25 waypoints Please expand to 100 or more              Great app but please allow more than 25 waypoints to be imported

What a frustrating unusable experience I get a screen with Map Manager and a little message 15 of 201Mb Waiting And waiting for days No way around no help at all No way to contact seller Just waiting Wait Wait Nah     Nothing but map manager

It never gets the compass direction right on highways Ill be driving on I76 east and it will say Continue on I76 west for 13 miles The amazing thing is that it is wrong about compass direction 98 of the time Certainly a little code could fix this Also useless without a fixed street address I flyfish in the boondocks and it is completely lost Google maps for iPhone kills it     Poor

It is simply awesome Really beyond my expectation I would download it earlier and lock my entry level Garmin into drawer 5 stars                 It is very good

Navigon was once the best GPS app Today its dominance is waning Fortunately I already own it What I would really like to see in future versions is the ability to buy single maps outside of the region of Navigon youve already purchased For example I own US East and I would really like to add Ontario CA without buying the entire 50 north america upgrade We will be using PAPER MAPS for that portion of our upcoming drive           Please add individual map purchases

Still havent fixed audio issues It randomly decides between Bluetooth and plugged in input Volume is ridiculously loud at low volume setting while decreasing music volume I have to go into settings to decrease audio and then if I unplug the phone and plug it in again I have to decrease again App randomly occasionally crashes Directions are not as accurate as they used to be This used to be the perfect GPS app and it seems like it is getting worse with every update Please fix the bugs        iPhone 5S Navigon Music Bad Experience

This used to be awesome navigation 2 updates ago it cant keep up with me or find me When in city where streets are close it turns me around 3 times Worthless now     What happened

The take me home button wont save your home address so this literally does nothing more than take up space Favorites wont save so this function also literally does nothing more than take up space and confuse the user The contacts feature that is supposed to let you select your contacts addresses rather using Navigons convoluted entry system makes the whole app crash when you select an address This is one of the worst app updates Ive ever encountered UPDATE Do not use iCloud with this app All of the problems I described above except the contacts issue were resolved by turning off iCloud synch Navigons customer service site is pretty useless but the responded almost immediately when I posted to their Facebook page which was great Hopefully theyll fix this issue soon           Version 29 destroyed this app FIXED by turning off iCloud

Overall the app is good However the things I do not like are the following It does not provide any back ground notification if its running in the background Traffic data is spotty at times and does not show any when I no there are traffic issues No address cutandpaste ability And finally Pois are missing even though I know they exist           Ok but flawed

If you data caps or are driving in Canada where roaming data charges can be enormous this is the go to app although youll need the Fresh Maps option to get full US and Canada coverage I drove through Albert British Columbia with no problems at all and the only thing I didnt have was traffic since that would have eaten up data In my home area I have unlimited data and so Im inclined to use more realtime nav apps such as Wave but still use Navigon when cell coverage is poor                 Best Offline Navigation

As a pilot I find the inability of this app to identify ALL of the general aviation airports a major deficiency especially considering that this is a Garmin owned application As a resident of the Washington DC area the inability of this app to announce nearby speed cameras is another major deficiency and safety hazard The municipalities hosting these speed cameras have repeatedly told us that their intent is not to raise revenue but to ensure that drivers slow down before entering hazardous areas where frequent accidents occur so do your part to enhance the publics safety by providing this feature           Two Major Flaws

This app used to be great but now it frequently crashes during trips and it does not receive any traffic updates anymore even though I paid extra for that feature Try a different app     App crashes and no traffic updates

I cannot paste an address from my iPhone contacts list into the address search bar I cannot even select North Carolina then paste in Raleigh it says Not Found I have to start typing with R A L etc This is unbelievable Also when I finally laboriously got to the street number I entered a 5 digit number I know has been in existence for years and it refused to accept only goes to 4 digits So guess my daughters apartment doest exist           Address entry is archaic and addresses out of date

This is better than my stand alone Tom Tom unit which I thought was the best I like the google search feature so much 1 line address perfects this app                 Best by far for your

Do not buy this app There is zero refinement put into it Every update adds useless junk yet ruins the core functionality This last update makes the directions stutter before and after each direction This freezes your music Terrible This app used to be the best but the new owners are greedy fools that dont bother supporting their product     Horrible

The voice directions are not working with iOS 8 Shes flipping North and South East and West Disappointing        North is not the same as South

This used to be a great app but now the voice never downloads I loaded the app to a new phone right before a trip I reloaded all of the states I needed and the required files There was no prompt to load voices Once on the road it asked me if I wanted to download voices for the turn by turn Really Thats a separate option After I said YES it never downloaded Manual downloads from settings fail over wifi too It is forever waiting for server although there was no wait for a small in app purchase I made at the same time Dont waste your money on this as it is now completely worthless     Voice No Longer Works

When Apple had launched the 3GS the phone was missing the integral part IMO which was turn by turn maps Finally a company Navigon appeared and all seemed to be well After owning the app for over 3 years I have to say Im extremely let down Their interface update for iOS 7 is very lackluster and the absolute BIGGEST problem is address entry OS integration would have been nice too Sadly Im still currently running on an iPhone 4 but Id rather use google maps than deal with the headache of entering separate pieces of address info and having a clean cut interface than deal with the headache which is Navigon     How the mighty fall

This is the best all around navigation app I have tried It is a bit fussy with the customization and other menu options but once you learn its tricks its a quite powerful tool that does not require a cell phone signal in order to work Thats right you can use this mapping app even when you have ZERO bars I travel a lot and Im often in the middle of nowhere with horrible cell phone reception Navigon can rely solely on your phones built in GPS beacon to orient itself and provide you with accurate directions Of course having good cell phone reception improves accuracy of the results and you need cell signal to use optional features like traffic optimization but its a comfort to know that if Im traveling in some remote national park and cant get a good cell signal Navigon can be trusted to continue to work with just my GPS Highly recommend over Google Maps and Apple Map which both absolutely require you to have a cell signal in order to work AT ALL              No Cell Signal Needed great feature

As posted by Navigon USA users this app reverses cardinal directionsannounces EAST when it should say WEST same for NORTH and SOUTH Not a problem if you know where youre going but then why use a Nav app In busy and unfamiliar interchanges when you need it most this app WILL get you lost     DO NOT BUY Reverses audible directions

Ive been using Navigon since I purchased my iPhone 3GS The software is always being updated the maps are dead on and the in app purchases are worth every dollar Great job with this app Ive tried other GPS software solutions and this is the best by far                 Love Navigon

Ive had this app for several years and purchased a few in app upgrades including the Fresh Maps All in all it is pretty good I mainly use it mounted on my motorcycle handle bars so I can only see it not hear it My MAIN complaint is that it rarely ever routes me the same way home from point B even though I DO NOT change the routing profile Sometimes it does still crash I contacted support about the routing problem and basically got a non sense answer I paid 30 for the app 50 for fresh maps usa plus 3 other upgrades You All Need To Be Listening To the End Consumer That Buys Your Products              Needs to be better

Every time the app updates I have to redownload the maps Just a dumb idea Give all of them to us at once and be done with it This map manager has done nothing positive just made it that much more of a pain in the butt        Map Manager is a bad idea

Though it seems reliable regarding the maps i m disappointed on POIs Most of the time i cant find restaurants etc from poi things that can be easily be found from internet outside the appall these even though i have the fresh maps and it should be updated           Good app

Ive tried almost every gps navigation software there is for iOS This was one of them I bought way back Didnt like it Compared to other software Now that Garmin Viago is discontinued sygic has messed up their great program and Igo primo has not fixed any of the reported issues I decided to try navigon again So far its been great and with todays update its even better The only thing I would like is for text on map and screens to be larger so it would be easier to quick glance while driving Sygic and Igo primo both have nice large text but programs dont always function properly One other thing is it doesnt always speak exit numbers which are important The exit number on screen is very small to look at when driving                 Awesome

After garmin bought navigon this app has gone down hill Each update gets worse Google maps is much better This app gives the wrong directions Since the last update there is no voice directions When I start navigation a dialogue box opens telling me there is no sound files but it wont download them Sorry I bought this crap app Garmin should have left it alone instead of screwing it up I gave it a one star rating because there arent any negative ratings This is a negative 10     Crap

I have always liked Navigon and have given it a five star rating however this version update is terrible This version will not back up favorite places that have been saved And will not bring back previously saved destinations iCloud sink does not work at all I have lost all of my favorites with this bug Come on Navigon please fix this When iCloud sink is fixed I will give this five stars     iCloud sink is not working in this version

This app is fine other than when audible it says east when youre supposed to go west Same with north and south Fix that and itll be fine        East West Flip flops

I used to love this app I still do but the favorites no longer save or sync with iCloud also the home address does not work either My favorite thing was that it used to sync with iCloud on all my devices now that is broken        What happened to this app

Bought this app with many of its inapp features that are for sale separately Back when Navigon owned it the map updates were free which is why I bought it now you have to pay 50 just to update the mapsIm sorry but thats too much just to update locations roads change and companies move but that isnt worth the price for every update Otherwise good app           Everything is great except the map updates

Been using Navigon for years from iPhone 3GS iPhone 4 iPhone 5 and now iPhone 5S Using Navigon with the Garmin HUD works like a charm Used TomToms app and others Navigons the absolute best Glympse integration Google Streetview image overlay when nearing your destination Google Maps POI searching road speed limit displaying over map even when not navigating Siri integration Navigate to Janes house via transit red light cameras warnings addon traffic accident lane closures construction road kill hazardous weather avoidance addon navigation works fully offline no preload crap hills and mountains show in 3D addon beautiful human sounding voice gives instructions the way a real human would Navigons the best No Waze Google Maps Apple Maps MotionX etc A distant second if I had to choose an alternative would be TomTom but I left TomTom years ago for Navigon and Ive never been happier                 Works great in iOS 7 on iPhone 5S

This app has always had very little ability to navigate to POIs like restaurants or stores but compensated for that lack with an ability to retrieve store addresses from Google Navigon has removed that ability and still lacks its own address data Nav sw that does not know where anything is will rarely get you anywhere     Barely any POI addresses

This app used to be the best It got me to where I wanted to go quickly and reliably Now the app gives me the wrong directions It just sends me all over the place instead of taking more efficient routes Id say apples built in maps app is better than Navigon now It also pauses music for a second before the voice speaks the route Instead of just fading the music it pauses it than plays the music quietly while speaking then pauses music again when voice is done speaking and finally goes back to playing the music at regular volume again Its annoying It should just fade the music in and out accordingly Also the voice just stops working at times during a trip Then you must restart the app for the voice to work again     Used to be the best Now its not good at all

Every time they update this if I so much as brush up against the app store it wont let me past the map updating menu until I download 200 megabytes of map data You can imagine how much fun that is to find out when you just got behind the wheel of your car to go someplace youve never been before Its so stupid and annoying and nonuserfriendly and the only reason I still even know how bad it is is that I update so infrequently that I keep forgetting how much I dislike interacting with it     every update ruins its functionality

Bluetooth voice navigation stopped working with the latest update making the app USELESS to me Please FIX the native maps app is not having this problem so I know the problem is Navigon iOS 706     NO GOOD
