Noticed you haven t done an update in two years Can you add better support for Audiobus 3 It works as an audio unit but I am unable to send MIDI signals to it Would really like to see that otherwise I this will not have been money well spent Update needed Doce Luna
This synth is fantastic Waldorf please update Brilliant synth desperately in need of update umami
Needs to be an audio unit yesterday This synth Mic Gee$
Great creative environment Good work on this Super fun qwesterish
If this thing was packed in a metal box with knobs you would pay BANK for something as special as Nave Wonderful sounding bursting with creative potential There s a lot to take in but after a few hours you will be creating crazy lush chaotic brutal hypnotic works of art There are some stability bugs I ve noticed using my 3rd gen iPad on iOS 7 0 so save often Pulling up menu items can seem unresponsive at times Bugs I m sure will be resolved in future updates This synth sits right up there with Animoog Thor and Magellan Thank you Waldorf Update 2016 still blows me away that this app completely destroys hardware synths Amazing Keep up the good work Waldorf The magic carpet synth Musicmandisco
It sounds fabulous I would like to multi instance it AU support would accomplish this Beautiful sounds needs AU realdawei
Nave makes beautiful sounds and they re very very controllable If there was only one synth for the iPad I would take this one Beautiful hmosc
Nave is hands down the best sounding most diverse synth app on the market While the wavetable is a bit of a learning curve pun definitely intended it is worth it to get familiar with it as their pretty much no end to what you can create with it This synth is absolutely unreal Very Best myelectron
I really like this synth but It s very importing to add TAP TEMPO Attractive synth Georges Barbar
IMHO Nave is the best iOS synthesizer currently available as of November 2015 it easily sounds as good as a lot of high end soft synths that run exclusively on our pc Mac s Having said that Waldorf Are you listening Ok I run Nave exclusively on both an Air 1 2 Why is the polyphony HALF on my Air 2 versus my Air 1 Needless to say I ve done a fair amount of testing to confirm this the Air 1 gives you 24 voices whereas the Air 2 halves that to 12 iOS 9 1 using a Tascam iur2 interface yes it is compatible using the iPads Lightning port and externally powering the box with a configured y cable and usb power pack Super Obvious Mistake Waldorf Goldenanalog
Nothing but praise for this app I wish I could say the same for Attack which is taking forever to get fixed Killer App djresonator
I am on iOS 9 0 2 on iPad Air II 128 This update has not offered any issues that I have noticed THE SOUND is inspiring Angelic Beautiful rivals SO many hardware synths I do Ethereal Ambient music Nave fits the bill better than most I LOVE THIS SYNTH The UI is GORGEOUS intuitive programming is not too hard I can not possibly recommend this synth enough Just get it You Will Not be disappointed if you are pfffff this has GOT TO BE the sweetest iOS synth out there with Animoog possibly 2nd place Synth of Pure Beauty AshFallenBrightly
If you couldn t choose between PPG and Nave you probably seen most forum searches came up with 50 50 answers as they are only comparable as wavetable apps yet different in some ways Basically you need both but which one to buy first is the question right Go with nave as you will not be disappointed PPG gives you something to look forward to later with further tweaking tools after you have mastered Nave The only bug I have seen is that the Audiobus tab on the side is sometimes in tappable Yes even after running Audiobus first and then opening Nave within Audiobus other than that if you have any complaints about lag or crashing get yourself the newest iPad Mine is working just fine PPG vs Nave PIEFROMHEAVEN
Man the Waldorf people should think about making a hardware version of this killer top shelf synth I just wish there was a piano role to create sequences How they did this is beyond me So amazing Plus it can TALK My only gripe is the sequencer which is hmmm kinda clumsy on this kind of screen size Peace Christo Please make this a real hardware synth Please Aka monkey dope
My first review was too harsh This is my second review Incredible piece of German tech Best direction manual I have ever seen for a synth I hate the presets All 500 And it is complicated to program With that being said it is so cool it should be checked out These guys are on to something amazing here and I m glad to support their effort and look forward to their next creation It s worth it just for the directions Not for you if you wa Great but not good for your first synth Symph synth
I think Waldorf has destroyed the competition with this one Whereas other legendary synth makers fall short on the iOS platform Waldorf excels So versatile powerful beautiful sounding I can t wait until they release their Attack drum synth for iOS I was not expecting this to be this good Five stars is not enough 7Z7
2015 03 06 The only thing I would note is a dear plea to devs not to let the dust get to thick before the next update Absolute Top Synth Bar None Fauxmantic
Definitely not Awesome but I think it s more because of a need for more processing power because it just seems to become sluggish and crash a bit too often I think wave table synthesis must be hard to pull off within the constraints of a tablet One of the developers created N Log Pro which is still one of the 10 best synths for an iOS device so you know that he s on top of his game The app IS cool but if you have 20 of the best synths this is one you will not use a whole lot if you want to play with a cool wave table synth don t hesitate on this one but don t expect it to be your favorite synth for long Very Almost cool 3 and 1 2 stars EMPmodulator
I have 40 or 50 iOS synths and if i had to delete all but one this is the one I d keep I m really inspired by its uniqueness in a field of so many same old same old synths Desert Island Synth noiseplayer
I own nearly all of the premium iOS synths I get more enjoyment out of Nave than any of them I m not saying that it s the best It s a resource hog There could be more modulation routings It s not perfectly stable However this wave table synth allows you to make some very animated and expressive patches that are very usable in a studio environment When it comes to sound design I think this is the most delightful synth app on the iOS platform Great UI great sound and great value This app has made me dream of a Waldorf hardware synth I might buy a Blofeld soon The Tops AG Hatecraft
Okay Let me just tweak the cutoff CRASH I wonder how many parameters I can automate before CRASH Just gonna switch tabs here and check on CRASH Gonna see if I can get this wave to say CRASH So far so good Now let me just save this preset before CRASH Crashes non stop on iPad mini 2 on iOS 7 Cursd
I would love to see preset pacs Wow this synth sounds great Nasty pirates
I love this synth now if I can only get it to work as a plug in in all my other music apps Some do while others don t not sure who s at fault Best synth hands down for iPad and blows away many other dest top synths Amazing synth dSML-4u
Thank you so much Waldorf for keeping this app updated It s such a great and powerful iOS Synth that is very user friendly Very much appreciated Awesome App breaktime
I own an ableton setup full of software synths and some hardware I have had more use and fun out of nave than software synths I paid 200 for It is a completely unique synth that once you wrap your head around is a complete joy to design patches in Wave table synthesis way not be for everyone but it is for me The midi implementation to this synth is perfect I sequence the synth via ableton live by connecting the ipad with an apple certified camera connection kit and a cheap usb to midi cable It sends the data flawlessly The clock syncs very well to external sources I really do recommend nave to anyone looking for a unique synthesis experience Take some time to learn your way around it and you will be designing fat bass crispy leads lush pads and evolving textures Sonic beast Eeby.
This app is so cool Has such a variety of sounds and it s perfect for a synth enthusiast A rate from me Awesome Synthesizer app from Waldorf EH man
This synth ended up not exciting me that much despite all the hype that made me buy it Just being honest I was expecting more I guess Stringy_D
Update I never heard back from Waldorf support I was able to reproduce this distortion clipping which makes the filter unusable Just got a refund from Apple I really like the sounds of this synth obviously except for the undesirable distortion and un usability of the main filter Sad day I m using this app on an iPad Air I like this app but it s pretty useless when it s clipping and distorting when I enable the LP filter Simply having the filter enabled is causing the sounds to have an unpleasant distortion I ve tried everything I can think of including turning down the volume at all gain stages making sure the compressor is off support said the audio sample I sent sounded like a compressor issue and making sure I wasn t hitting the voice limit The only thing that causes the distortion is having the filter active which means I can have a filter or an undistorted sound Currently looking into requesting a refund for this app Digital Clipping Support hasn t Solved Yet KnowNaMe
Nave is an absolute joy to use I recently picked up an iPad and was going to hold off getting Nave until it was on sale to pick it up but got it at full price because I couldn t wait any longer Don t regret it one minute Totally worth it at even twice the price Only feature I wish was implemented was a switch to turn off velocity to amplitude rather than using one of the four mod slots to overcome this I normally use velocity for timbre changes and not amplitude I want to have the full mod slots available for a base patch Either a switch for turning it on off or a knob like the filter envelope velocity amount Amazing Synthesizer cykranosh
Crashes a lot Gets frustrating when you spend half an hour making a patch then it crashes for no reason Other than that it s great Love this but 1010110010
AMAZING and stooped cool app Nothing else sounds like this I can get lost for hours manipulating this thing Can t wait to see what else Waldorf comes up with for iPads VERY cool Run don t walk and get this NOW Wowee wow wow wow Guidotoons
Simply gnarly Gnarly ActualProof
This synth breaks some new ground on ios as far as the visual controls you have over the wavetable Requires some dedication to unlock its potential but man is it worth it From ambient lush tones to fat bass and leads this thing can do a whole lot Worth every penny Cutting edge and inspiring jenkweb
Like mentioned by someone else this app CRASHES more often than I would like from a 20 app Still waiting for an update to fix this Like this synth but 7BXAS7
if it wasn t so unstable on newer devices don t have anything older to try it on Even with all other apps closed out What a rip off Your app is almost as bad as Sugarbytes Apps Maybe Waldorf should talk to other devs who ve made apps that simply work like yamaha tenori on korg iElectribe iKaossilator Native Instruments iMaschine or Liine Lemur I will continue to update my review to combat the paid for circle jerk reviews until you get this thing working properly or until you offer refunds to those who got duped by you Would be awesome Buddhas Palm
Just not as great sounding as the Sunrizer synth by BeepStreet which costs about half the price of this one I will give this synth credit however in the amount of adjustable parameters available Not bad Lyceia
I love nave Get it if you want that Waldorf sound It s so easy to use Load your own wav and go Awesome Alien_brain
Latest upgrade added no significant features While Nave is the best synth ap out there it still lacks some important things like for example a master volume control accessible at all times Additional modulation destinations would also greatly expand Nave s capabilities Still I have over 20 synthesizer programs on my Ipad I have all of the major ones and a few really obscure items I love them all Really Each one has its place in my own creative process Most do something unique that the others simply do not or do not do well But I never really wanted any of the previous Waldorf products Not sure why they just did not appeal to me I bought Nave on a whim becuse it looked promising It seemed unique in some ways So what the heck let s round out the collection I have not been able to break away from it to mess around with my many other Ipad synthesizers Every time I pick up the Ipad I hit the Nave icon I can t help myself I now fear some of my other beloved synthesizers will now go unused and begin to get very lonely The features are comprehensive and well executed The sound quality like so many Ipad synthesizers is suprisingly good even stunning The interface is coherent and sensible making complex synthesis combination wavetable subtractive simple It s just a great instrument A few improvements can be made Add more modulation destinations Reverb mix and time for example could be controlled by the X Y pads or LFO waveform could be shifted by a modulation input A sequencer would be great Also add a volume control the Ipad volume button is just to clumsy for performance use But as it stands right out of the box at version 1 0 I hate to admit it for fear of deminishing my passion for some of the other instruments I have but this is rapidly becoming my favorite synthesizer on the Ipad No big improvements but still the best BozoToo
And this is by far my favorite iOS synth ever Amazing sound easy to edit And the keys are really easy to articulate subtle sound variations with Well worth the price I ve spent hundreds on synth apps ShipiboConibo
Quality Stuff Thanks waldorf Nice one Joevst
Keeps me going all session long every sound it makes finds a place in the mix One small gripe and it might be my bifocals where is the volume control Using this app with iodock and several external apps plugged in not way to control its volume without lowering the wave volumes Luv it Jaxziel
I feel like this is a steal for the price This app is easy to learn but has a bunch of next level controls that I can t begin to talk about here Keep up the great work Great job Magic Mack
I m writing this update because I need to express the joy I feel when uploading waves for use in Nave This thing is brilliant you do not have upload via iTunes You have a sound stored in Dropbox Boom you can send it directly into Nave to use it a wave file to tweak your heart s contempt I was ok living with PPG s Wavegenerator but I like Nave best it is now the one I use for wavetable action Last Review If you are looking for a wavetable synth that means you already know about subtractive additive FM Grain and other types of synthesis This app is a sound designer s dream and rivals what you can do on a hardware synth It has all the tools and accessories that you ll need to make music FXs recording ACP Audiobus and now IAA You will not find a more comprehensive synth than this one A dream come true If you want a wavetable synth this is it C3l3$t1n0
I was skeptic about purchasing this app being that I bought just about every synth but I decided to give it a try I must say this is the best by far It is worth every bit of 20 Good thing I got it on sale D hehe If you do not own it get it now Navenificat 1King Santos
Ive had many virtual and hardware synths nordlead modular micro Q grooveboxes etc This synth is by far among my favorites and worth buying an iPad just for this app Congratulations Waldorf Simply the best
Even has resynthesis capabilities I was amazed within the first 15 minutes My amazement has grown each time I dive into this synth A serious instrument that raises the bar and has taken ipad sound design and music creation to the next level MindBlowing
Like mentioned by someone else this app CRASHES more often than I would like from a 20 app Still waiting for an update to fix this Like this synth but
Totally worth the price One of the best synths Ive ever seen on an iOS device I can run a line out to a DAW and use this to make a track Cant really find any issues just played it for two hours Easily the best new synth Ive seen since animoog Wow just wow
This has to be probably one of the greatest apps I have ever seen I have been playing music for many years but never could afford amazing equipment and patches and controlsetc Once upon a time it would have taken Thousands of dollars and a large room to hold all the equipment like this To me programs like this that offer so much for an amazing price HAS to be a God send What dreams are made of

Simply gnarly Gnarly
I have just about every synth in the App Store I dont hate wave table but it is not something I lean towards Given the rep of the developer I would expect more There are too few patches and yes you can mod them but honestly they all start to sound the same The GUI is well done but the app crashes The 3D Spectrum display is a waste for production nano studio has this beat For sound capability Sunriser is better IMHO That being said online access to a patch library is needed Additionally soundcloud Access would help Yes you get a wave table synth but it is really a toy not a pro Tool For 20 I would expect more To expensive for too little
Thank you so much Waldorf for keeping this app updated Its such a great and powerful iOS Synth that is very user friendly Very much appreciated Awesome App

Recap after months I just had to come back and say again how impressive this synth is Its a must have synth I think I cant say any synth is best but there are haves and have nots This one is a keeper I have three synth apps I love this one Get it play with it Read the manual it will help lots Play guitar Get this and midi guitar its a blast This cubasis and midiguitar opens up some real cool sounds and many sleepless nights playing Kudos to ampkit jamup stompbox meteor sunrizer alchemy garageband and DM1 also all great apps Makes me wish I played keyboard also Love it

Very nicevery cool Love it
This is such an impressive and expressive synth If you want to explore evolving wavetable synthesis this should be your first choice The Realtime controls are endless as are the sounds within Highly recommended So Deep
If you couldnt choose between PPG and Nave you probably seen most forum searches came up with 5050 answers as they are only comparable as wavetable apps yet different in some ways Basically you need both but which one to buy first is the question right Go with nave as you will not be disappointed PPG gives you something to look forward to later with further tweaking tools after you have mastered Nave The only bug I have seen is that the Audiobus tab on the side is sometimes intappable Yes even after running Audiobus first and then opening Nave within Audiobus other than that if you have any complaints about lag or crashing get yourself the newest iPad Mine is working just fine PPG vs Nave
Nave is simply stunning Innovative and extremely deep but After all this time modulation options are missing for some very obvious sources and destinations For these reasons I am dropping its rating to four stars Modern not a Vintage Repro
AMAZING and stooped cool app Nothing else sounds like this I can get lost for hours manipulating this thing Cant wait to see what else Waldorf comes up with for iPads VERY cool Rundont walk and get this NOW Wowee wow wow wow

Only gripe so far is That the second lowest B does not play from a midi controller but does play on screen Great sound

Awesome sounding synth I own ims20 Addictive Synth Magellan Animoog and more and this is clearly one of the best My biggest request is for better navigation of the many presets like Magellan offers I dont even know how to flag favorites on Nave Better preset nav needed
I think Waldorf has destroyed the competition with this one Whereas other legendary synth makers fall short on the iOS platform Waldorf excels So versatile powerful beautiful sounding I cant wait until they release their Attack drum synth for iOS I was not expecting this to be this good Five stars is not enough
Id love to be able to write or patch somehow or copy the recordings straight into the Pinnacle video editing app As it is I have to send the recording to iTunes then connect my iPad to my computer and launch iTunes blah blah to get the recording back into my iPad Dumb workaround Lets get a more fluid system for moving audio files around on an iPad please Not sure whos responsibility this is Nave or Pinnacle but just felt like voicing my concern Thanks Great app audio recordings
I feel like this is a steal for the price This app is easy to learn but has a bunch of next level controls that I cant begin to talk about here Keep up the great work Great job
I love nave Get it if you want that Waldorf sound Its so easy to use Load your own wav and go Awesome
I purchased this app after reading a rave review in Electronic Musician I was not disappointed I trigger the sounds with a Brian Moore iGuitar I use it in conjunction with Audiobus and Beatmaker 2 Great responsive synth and I have barely scratched the surface Fabulous
Man this app is awesome Im really speechless please dont mess this one up I love it but only one thing Im having problems uploading my my audio file when I finish editing then Im track mode please fix any bugs Lost for words
This app is so cool Has such a variety of sounds and its perfect for a synth enthusiast A rate from me Awesome Synthesizer app from Waldorf
I would love to see preset pacs Wow this synth sounds great
I own nearly all of the premium iOS synths I get more enjoyment out of Nave than any of them Im not saying that its the best Its a resource hog There could be more modulation routings Its not perfectly stable However this wave table synth allows you to make some very animated and expressive patches that are very usable in a studio environment When it comes to sound design I think this is the most delightful synth app on the iOS platform Great UI great sound and great value This app has made me dream of a Waldorf hardware synth I might buy a Blofeld soon The Tops
This is the best software synth Ive ever used Not just the best on the iPad but probably the best Ive used including those you can buy for desktop laptop DAWs using Logic or ProTools or anything else This synth really excels at sound design due to the easy editing dont get me wrong Nave has more than enough ways to tweak your sound but the user interface is very well thought out and you can get interesting sounds pretty quickly If you are looking for a synth with a lot of preset sounds ready for dance music this may not be the synth for you But if you are willing to take a little time playing with the sounds then the sky is the limit for what you can get I could go on and on but I wont There is so much to Nave that one could write a book on what it has to offer One last thing is the text to speech synthesis available with Nave You can really create some cool loops with that 20 seemed like a lot so I held off buying it for a while but after I pulled the trigger on the purchase I realized within 30 seconds of playing with the synth that my money was well spent If you like to make music with your ipad you need to buy Nave This synth is ridiculously good Worth every penny
Crashes a lot Gets frustrating when you spend half an hour making a patch then it crashes for no reason Other than that its great Love this but
I was skeptic about purchasing this app being that I bought just about every synth but I decided to give it a try I must say this is the best by far It is worth every bit of 20 Good thing I got it on sale D hehe If you do not own it get it now Navenificat
I love this synth now if I can only get it to work as a plug in in all my other music apps Some do while others dont not sure whos at fault Best synth hands down for iPad and blows away many other dest top synths Amazing synth
Definitely not Awesome but I think its more because of a need for more processing power because it just seems to become sluggish and crash a bit too often I think wave table synthesis must be hard to pull off within the constraints of a tablet One of the developers created N Log Pro which is still one of the 10 best synths for an iOS device so you know that hes on top of his game The app IS cool but if you have 20 of the best synths this is one you will not use a whole lot if you want to play with a cool wave table synth dont hesitate on this one but dont expect it to be your favorite synth for long Very Almost cool 3 and 12 stars
Fun easy to use dynamic This one feels like your operating a full desktop app Im very happy with my purchase No buyers remorse here One of the best
