First I want to thank you because of this technological application In this age of technology and the time we are entering this application fits perfect according to the time because it comes in handy useful tool and it is Green However according to Nichirens Buddhism in the second silent prayer it talks about the three great secret laws I can understand why many people would get upset because you have the gohonzons picture on this application I found this in the Gosho Letter to Gijobo This is one of the earliest references in his writings to the Three Great Secret Laws the invocation Nammyohorengekyo the object of devotion the Gohonzon and the place of worship the sanctuary No41 Page 390 col 2 paragraph 10 Background A sanctuary in its original meaning is a sacred place such as a shrine By the use of such places as a safe haven by extension the term has come to be used for any place of safety This secondary use can be categorized into human sanctuary a safe place forhumans such as a political sanctuary and nonhuman sanctuary such as an animal or plant sanctuary With all that said that is why I can understand those peoples concerns but at those times people could have never imagined that we all would be interconnected with the world wide web Thats just food for thought We should never see the Gohonzon outside our selves PS Why are you charging people to learn about Buddhism That money should be donated to help the people in what ever charity you might think needs it the mostm              Thank you

I have been using this app since its original release Great for folks on the road a lot I highly recommend it for the beginner or seasoned veteran                 Best App ever

Its great to see an app on here focused on encouraging the practice of chanting the mystic law and reciting the sutra I was raised under the teaching that the Gohonzon should never be photocopied or presented outside of a butsudan but obviously the teachings regarding this in Nichirens writings are unclear First and foremost never seek this Gohonzon outside yourself for it is only a physical manifestation of our life condition              Wonderful

I enjoyed this app immensely and even appreciate the Gohonzon For those who have a problem with it you dont have to have it up when you chant I would however like to suggest 2 things to the developers 1 a faster pace for both diamoku and gong yo While this is a great app for beginners I had to silence it and chant to my mp3 version 2 if a faster gongyo cant or wont happen then maybe make a silent gongyo with turntable pages so that one can go at their natural pace Thanks and NMRK           Great app could use improvement

This is a relative good APP but the Gohonzon should be removed Its not a substitute for the real thing and shouldnt be used as the real gohonzon With a few fixes this is a great app for when you are in the car driving to work and home     Good App except for the Gohonzon

I love that the Gohonzon image is larger than my Omamori perfect for travel And to the reviewer who says this image is altered you may think so but it is an exact Nichikan Gohonzon as used by SGI And as Nichiren states its effectiveness is determined by our faith alone so I wish everyone many happy hours of determined joyful Daimoku Ps only wish there was a bit faster daimoku speed we New Yorkers like a nice brisk gallop              Beautiful

gongyo has been very challenging for me but after just a few times through it using this app my pronunciation ability to keep up are vastly improved as has been mentioned there is a timing glitch in the daimoku which can be distracting close listening reveals that the 4th 8th repetitions more pronounced on the 8th are slightly slower than the others it seems as if the person was chanting to a metronome or click track and slowed down there upon realizing he was ahead of the measure I am an audio engineer and could easily and happily fix this if I had a copy of the loop file feel free to email it to me if you would like that done NMRK              very helpful for this beginner

Finally an iPod app that allows you to vary gongyo speed Everything for me for a weekend trip but my juzu I just wish the diamoku was a little smoother in transition it has a slight skip sort of in between loops Bell at the end which is a nice touch Also has the 2 part gongyo A and C chapters not the 3 part temple version Im really really happy              very nice

You know that once the Gohonzon has been photo copied scanned reproduced etc it has been altered Chanting to or in front of this image of a Gohonzon is not only slanderous to the intent and mind of Nichiren Daishonin but will render no true benefit to the person chanting to it Please understand that the reason Nichiren Shoshu and the Soka Gakkai are in disagreement about the Nikken vs Nickikan Nitatsu Gohonzons is the inscribers shared intent for all mankind to attain enlightenment with Nichiren If the inscribers does not have this EXACT intent and understanding then not only is the Gohonzon theyve inscribed counterfeit but theyve also committed the slander of leading people to a counterfeit teaching I implore the creator of this app to PLEASE remove the image of the gohonzon It is far better for the person reciting the sutra to do so toward their INNER Gohonzon than to a false representation of Nichirens mandala     This is an altered Gohonzon

The sound works fine you need to make sure the ringer button on side is on not on vibrate and turn up the sound I also thought sound did not work but it was a quick fix NMRK SGIPhoenix az                 Sound

I have practiced for years but found it frustrating at times when chanting alone without the group This app supports my speaking in a clear energetic voice Its also very helpful as I now introduce my daughter to the practice With gratitude                 Great Tool

Being a new Student to Nichiren buddhism especially with the gangyo prayer I find it so useful to be able to hear it and follow along with visual and auditory help I love this app and highly recommend it to any buddhist new student or old scholar This is also perfect for when you have a free moment to chant Instead of chanting alone there is company I love that there are different visual options as well as chant speeds                 Awesome tool

There is no reason to remove Gohonzon its the 21 century and we need to move onwhats is important is that people become happy and if technology is the way then let it beThe app is helpful           Great app

I like the idea and can be a great tool to teach how to chant But as a Gajokai Cheif and a member of Soka Gakkai I feel that the developer of the application should remove the gohonzon The gohonzon should not copied duplicated or reproduced in any fashion Receiving the gohonzon is an hint to receive and is a sign of your determination to better yourself and be a part of the Soka Gakkais mission for kosen rufu A 99 cent app doesnt not do the gohonzon justice and is not how we should honor Nichiren Daisohinins gift in designing such a beautiful object of devotion I hope you seek guidance for district chapter area or even region leaders so that you can fully understand why we are asking to remove the gohonzon from the app I LOVE THE APP THOUGH GREAT DESIGN AND EASY TO USE Thank you bodhisattva           Great app dewing except for the gohonzon

This app was wonderful I have had it for nearly a year however in the past few months the sound has stopped working I reloaded the app but it didnt fix the problem I see that others are having the same problem I also think it would be nice to have faster chant options for once you improve your speed Hopefully someone will fix the sound glitch Id hate to lose this app           Great app but no sound

The settings have slow and medium pace only You need to add fast and very fast pace in the settings Also you need to add group chanting feature for all settings Prayers need to be added with Gongyo The chant log should show date time duration for each session Please update this very useful app Thanks              Good App but needs Improvement

Its great just from the point of view of being able to have a gongyo book in my phone Im never without one and I can also help others to learn gongyo using it Would be excellent if it could automatically time and track my gongyo without my having to pit it in There are also a myriad of other features that could make this app truly off the chart Thank you                 i love this application
