I dont fish boat surf or have a career with water So why would I want this app I live on an island When I take a walk its safer to know what the tides are up to I have used other tide apps daily for the last several years but I was never quite happy with them They were either too complex or poorly designed My last tide app has been crashing since two iOS updates ago and the developer is no longer maintaining it Out of frustration I once again searched for tide apps and after looking at dozens of them and trying many I found MyTide It looked promising I cannot express how happy I am to have found this app It is incredibly simple to use even for a Tide Novice It does not need cellular service to work The red dot is such an easy visual to use to determine where the tide is currently at I LOVE their mapping of the Tide Stations instead of having to guess from a list of names You can even add multiple Tide Stations and arrange them in the order you prefer This makes it so useful to decide if I am going to walk on the East or West side of the island since the tides are different I highly recommend buying the upgrade We spend more on a soda or coffee and dont have anything to show for it other then stained teeth What better way to thank the developers by purchasing their incredibly useful and stylish app The paid version allows you to swipe in landscape mode and view future days or previous dates as well as use the calendar to select multiple days at once I am VERY IMPRESSED with the MyTide app and cannot express how much I appreciate the work put into designing this app Thank you Clickdiver Love the updated tide heights                 10 Stars

I bought this app mostly for the current info since there are plenty of free tide apps When I tried to find current data there was none in my area Developer basically told me the tide data could give you an indication of what the current was doing He also said that he was hoping that NOAA would add more stations to their data base Not really what was advertised I would recommend trying the free app and making sure you have the info desired before paying The app does work nicely just relies on an incompleteinadequate database        Tide works good but no current info

Tidecurrent stations limited to USA Free version only shows current day Need to purchase upgrade for changing date or showing multiple dates To be useful you must view in landscape mode portrait view is limited No tabular view     Free version almost worthless

Its July 4th and we came home after the morning and afternoon activities in our tiny town While leafing through one of our many boating magazines my husband spotted the new product write up for the MyTide app We returned recently from two weeks of cruising on our trawler where we fiddled with tide charts to time our passage through various tricky straits and narrows so it looked very intriguing I downloaded the app to my iPad including the inexpensive upgrade and opened it right up I was immediately stumped All I had on the screen was the tide chart that is the opening screen No menu or navigation buttons except the calendar icon I took a long shot and sent an email to the address on the website Mind you it was 502 pm on the 4th of July I was astounded to receive a reply at 505 from a guy named Waz He told me that he figured I was using my iPad with a keyboard and it was in the horizontal position If so he told me to just switch it to the vertical position and the menu button would be right there to get me going Brilliant So many companies state their commitment to customer supportthese guys really mean it Ive already put quite a few of our favorite spots into the list and cant wait to get out on the water again and put this app to work                 simple and supported

We have used MyTide for a month while cruising north from Olympia WA to Port Angeles WA Lots of varying tides and especially currents to test it out on We load up on data in port and use for several days when out Many more data stations available than I realized Easy to use Initially couldnt make the map show up so contacted MyTide and received immediate help turn the iPad sideways Ahh Good app Very good value                 MyTide app review
