MyStuff2 Pro - Home Inventory and Database

I had a hard time downloading this app I had to download it to my computer first then sync the iPad It was worth the effort Ive been looking for a good way to list our extensive movie collection The bar code scanner in this app is making it very easy to get the movie info into the database I can list 1520 movies in 5 minutes Im totally impressed and Ive just scratched the surface of this apps capability                 Awesome App

This is the best App I have ever used Its truly a database management program As full featured as anyone could ever need on a mobile device Syncing between devices is supported and works great I even have it installed on my wifes devices so we dont double buy items in our collections This App requires some learning but not much The preconfigured database has a lot of options already setup for you to use as an example Make your database as complex or simple as you need to or just use the default Store information and pictures and use the Amazon lookup feature to minimize typing The only issue Ive had to date is the barcode scanner It needs a lot of light to get a good scan Once I learned how to properly use it my issues were cleared up Thanks for such a useful tool                 Full Featured Database App

I use MyStuff2 Pro to run 2 databases for my workplace and this is the only app Ive found that can support our needs This app is both powerful and versatile Like any database system the time it takes to study the app and create a sound design will be well spent because this app has too many features to wing it in terms of design It is not a grocery list app its a database system And a great one as well My only wish for future versions is a more robust set of report generation tools Coming from the PC world I miss having all of those reporting options                 A Very Capable Database

This was by far the best investment Ive made I needed this app to keep track of all my movies and games More than once Ive bought a movie twice because I forgot I already owned it no joke So the next time I think Im getting a good deal on that next blu ray Ill check this app to make sure I dont already have it Sorry to all those friends and family members that get movies randomly as a gift it wont happen anymore                 Finally Found What I Needed

I have been looking for a good quality multi media cataloging app for a while now This has everything I have been wanting and am very happy with it The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that I feel it could be more user friendly getting everything to sync between different devices I finally got it to work but it could have been more fluid Love this app              Exactly what I was looking for

This is a very feature robust app Im very pleased with it so far I love that I can scan the barcodes of my movies and get them easily inventoried Creating a custom database for other things I want to track was easy to do as well Great job writing this                 Very nice app

I rarely do these reviews however this app has blown my mind and is well worth the money I use this app as a master inventory sheet for all my technology at my school I can scan serial number bars Asset Tags have different list for different things have locations and also transfer it into an excel sheet This is singable handedly convinced me and my previous TechCo that an iPad is a viable platform to do inventory from This app saved me a lot of time and headache However I do wish that their is a feature to copy over the complete attributes of one list to another Overall an impressive great app for both home owners who just want a small list of their valuables to hardcore inventory wizards and even companies interested in inventory software                 Best App CPS Technology Coordinator

Love love love it Had a minor glitch received quick courteous response May have been a user error on my part since it hasnt happened again Using mostly for movies video games and books I have a private library of over 1500 books I have 500 entered so far with great results Was not looking forward to writing my own db for them as I have in the past so was pleased to find this does everything I need it to including Csv for print out Yea Saved me a ton of work Using iPod touch need scan2pic integrated workaround for barcodes but of other apps I tried by far the besteasiest solution                 Great customizable database

This app is growing on me The more I use it and learn how to use more advanced features the more I like it One can start with more basic features and still get use from this There is a learning curve for fancier functions Yesterday I created a database for our big and small freezers I created food groups and color coded them I have an attribute for date entered freezer and quantity I sent completed list to email opened the csv file and saved as Excel spreadsheet Then I worked it a bit to arrange Next step print I will keep copy next to freezers Just now my husband removed freezer items so I popped open this app and adjusted the inventory of each item Cant tell you how great it feels to manage the freezer better                 Excellent

I compared this product to others in the App Store and it is easier to use and had more features It is very flexible with the options available I downloaded the Lite version to test I had a question on the processing Backup and Restore The response was fast and accurate Great support                 Great Support

I feel like such an idiot but I need help I bought this app to do a pantry inventory in hopes I could expand it to include other home inventories over time Unfortunately I cant figure out how to get it to do what I need What I want is a simple list of all the items I have and their quantities It would be great if I could break it up into categories like canned beans canned fruit etc and get a notification when something gets down to a quantity of 1 or 2 so I know to add it to my grocery list But I need to be able to back out and view it as 1 complete list at times also if possible If someone is familiar with this app and is able to send me a flowchart of how to set this up I would REALLY appreciate it Thanks This is a beautiful app and appears to be able to handle very complex lists The problem is with me not the app              need help

Yes its just a database app underneath the hood but for those of us who need a database to catalog their possessions this one really impresses me The barcode scanner is nearly flawless scanning mainstream books and media for other items ie board games wine gadgetry anything with a UPC code on it will work with a little tweaking And stuff without barcodes will work great too it just takes a little bit of the automation out of the process Again just a little bit of tweaking in the early stage of populating data in this and you can get almost anything in it yet the app still does not feel overly generic And as far as that goes the tweakability of this app is what really makes it stand out If you play around with the settings you can usually get it to do what you want That is its super flexible intuitive and powerful Everybodys needs are different and everyone has an opinion how it should look and work and the customizability will help keep 95 of the people happy There is a serviceable reporting feature that could get you a report ready for your insurance company god forbid if you needed it in less than 10 minutes I was thinking of using this alongside of Delicious Monster but have decided that for now this does everything I need delicious to do but runs on my iPad so I can wander around the house collecting inventory data So Ill put delicious on hold in case something goes wrong with Mystuff down the road Ie I know there are size limitations out there due to the fact it is running in iOS I dread bumping into some limit at some point and not being able to expand my collection But the Devs say its a pretty massive limit so I have hope At any rate if youre any kind of collector hoarder works for digital hoarders too or just groove on being super organized and having fun while doing it walking about taking pictures of your treasures is kind of fun then this is an app to seriously consider One simple thing I would like the developer to add on iPad anyway is the ability to individually widen the three panes esp the middle list view so you can see more of the longer titles at once Also squash a bug which prevents me from coding in anything 71 hours on a movie duration Some boxed sets go well above 71 hours Small nicetohave requests Overall its excellent loving it and having great fun going through all my junk                 Surprisingly useful Flexible Powerful

The camera stops working after scanning the first barcode I have to close the app via the multitasking menu to scan the next Becomes rather laborious Does this on both my iPhone and iPad Please fix     But makes use difficult

Finally Someone who understands my needs You can just about customize this pro version to be anything you want it to be I will finally be able to photo my household inventory for insurance warranty loaning out in a constructive productive way If something should happen to menow my love ones know exactly what I have and what its worth Who ever developed thisthis app is worth the money spent                 Been Waiting a Long Time for this

This app is very powerful with its defaults and setting but you can configure just about everything With multiple databases and sync options you can keep multiple devices up to date easily                 Awesomely configurable

PLEASE READ Ive been an iPhone user since the very first iPhone came out years ago along the way Ive tried dozens dozens of inventory asset management apps to use personally and for my business MyStuff2 Pro is BY FAR the best app available for this purpose so much so that Im taking time to write my first app review I admit I tried the lite version before which seemed a little busy confusing However I recently moved needed a good inventory for renters insurance so I revisited all the apps This time I went to the web and did a search for the best inventory apps MyStuff2 repeatedly ranked at the top So I went back to the App Store and carefully read the descriptionsfeatures of the paid versions of several of the top apps MyStuff2 by far is the most feature rich integrated customizable not wanting to have limitations or a ton of in app purchases I took a chance purchased the Pro version It was worth every penny of the 899 Remember you get what you pay for I admit getting started was a little confusing at first trying to figure out the layout flow of menus where to put categories locations groups attributes With a little patience you will quickly figure out where things go how to customize it You can add photos attach documents and create custom fields What I LOVE is that you are not limited to the same set of fields for every item You can customize an individual item on the fly or If you see you are having to customize every entry of a similar type such as electronics You can change the fields at the category level The custom fields or attributes are very versatile functional For example for my Samsung TV I created a field called customer service defined the data as a phone number so once entered it has an icon to initiate a call I also created a field called Product Web Page I defined the data as a web address As I filled in the data I went to my browser and searched for my tv model on the manufacturers website then copied the URL and pasted it into the data field Down the road when questions arise or need to reference the users manual simply tap the safari icon next to the pasted URL and it takes you straight to the product page You can be as creative as you want I created a category for vehicles Here I included all those little things u never have when u need them such as your VIN License Plate Number Tire Specs Etc The possibilities are endless Once you get things set up MyStuff2Pro has the most comprehensive set of tools to manipulate the data You can search by any field you define even save that search query You can filter data For example you can sum totals of items by quantity value price etc You can also import and export all or selectedfiltered data in a variety of formats The app integrates the internal barcode scanner camera phone contacts a barcode generator other apps such as safari Dropbox Evernote air print adobe reader more If you truly want a comprehensive and versatile inventory app MyStuff2Pro is for you Any good software requires some learning so take the time maybe an hour to familiarize yourself with it before you start entering data utilize the great support resources integrated in the settings of the app Ignore the negative reviews that say its not useful or confusing Those people didnt take the time to get familiar with the app before they wrote their review                 Best Inventory App Available

Love this Ive been using it to organize my music collection With over 5000 albums cds and 45s its now easy to find what Im looking for This app would be great even without the search feature but with it its amazing Syncing is also an added plus since I do most of the work on my ipad but when Im in the record store my data is with me on my iphone Get it love it                 Awesome

As a programmer by trade this app is just awesome 1 star as it crashes often when I try and take a picture to import and I lose that entry if I dont save before doing pics              Great app

This is exactly what I was looking for and more I have made a list of all the concerts Ive been to over 40 I was able customize it so I could include dates venues citys and all other important information about the show I havent tried to scan any barcodes yet or add photos So far what I have tried it seems to work great It is definitely worth it although I was skeptical cause its the most Ive ever paid for an app Download it now you wont regret it I think it would be helpful to have an understanding of databases for creating your own categories If this app could be turned into a website appprogram to register and login to list items in a database that would be awesome Because if theres a firefloodtornado and your iPad is gone you have no record of things                 Amazing App

Without automatic timely synchronization this product is a time bomb Ive been exportingsaving all categories and it seemed to be working until after an iOS upgrade and i imported it after it disappeared and there was only 1 of around 15 categories that would load from iCloud The rest is gone it took a long time to get that in there serial numbers and pics dont give these hacks a dime     Save your efforts

This app was just what I was looking for It is a beautifully designed and simple to use app yet it is a extremely powerful and customizable I already had a home inventory in a database app and was able to export it into a cvs file From there it was a snap to get the data into MyStuff2 This was very important to me I also like the fact that it has Dropbox support for backing up my data again very important to me I also like the fact that there is a full range of options to get my data out of this app if I ever needed to I really can not think of any ways that this app could be made any better It is a perfect home inventory app Now I just need a Mac version                 Just what I was looking for

I purchased MyStuff in 2010 and have loved it I keep track of movies drinks I like household electronics etc With my iPhone 6 I needed to purchase MyStuff2 I chose Pro OK its been a few years and I support the developer I set up DropBox to transfer data from the old phone MyStuff to the new phone MyStuff2 but I did it wrong Using the contact support option in the app I described the issue Within MINUTES I received a reply from the developer with clear and detailed steps to correct it Im just in awe Now I have all my data on the new phone in a new app and trust in the fact that the developer is actively supporting his app                 Wow Just Wow

Ive been using this app for several months now and I am very happy with it I only have one device so sharing my lists isnt a thing I need to worry about I have logged and organized all my books movies and games Its really great to figure out where something is or if someone borrowed something of a disc is lost or broken or if we dont own something There is a learning curve involved but I feel it is well worth it for all the options and customization Keep up the good work                 I love this app

This app is unbelievable The amount of features database management backup features reporting and more is everything I expect in a great app At every turn I find more and more features Add custom fields field types lookup lists boolean fields create custom themes jeez just an insane amount of options Im nowhere near discovering them all Reporting is also fantastic Generate reports print them export to HTML just tons of features Backup to csv Dropbox iTunes other apps etc its great My only comments are that the barcode scanning is marginal at best Unless you are shooting in perfect light with the perfect amount of white space around the code it seems to fail Also although I can define original photo sizes for storage in the database there doesnt appear to be any control over image compression Not a deal breaker but I would like to be able to see serial numbers a little more clearly in my images Of course I can take as many photos as I like per item The interface is decent and navigates well Not as flashy as some other similar inventory apps but very feature rich My goal was to be able to create a database with multiple photos and or videos per item for insurance records with the ability to print reports in case of a claim This achieves that perfectly well worth the money period                 Probably the most feature rich app Ive ever used

MyStuff2 outclasses the 5 other inventory apps that I tried Its problem is that with all of its power comes some complexity There is a learning curve to get it organized just the way you wanted to but the sweet thing is that it is very customizable One has to create categories if they are not already present it comes with numerous preformatted categories for your use and this takes a little thought up front But once you create a category you can use it across all of your databases For instance lets say you create a Clothes category Then you would add attributes like the name size color etc and you could create groups like shirts pants dresses shoes etc Taking shoes you could have subgroups for shoes like heels flats sandals etc and those subgroups could have subgroups etc But you dont have to be this granular You could just dump everything into Clothes and call it good Likewise you can create locations with many sub levels You can have something as simple as the Bedroom or something like Box Second Shelf Closet Bedroom its all up to you Bottom line is that if you put in a little time learning how to use it you will have the best inventory program around                 Great inventory app but

I want to say that I have tried several of the more popular and highly rated databases out there and some might have the ability to be better looking but when it comes right down to being able to track and access your data this IS the best I have found so far It may take a bit to get the hang of it but it has a bunch of features that make it easy to track and access what is important FYI I am in no way related to the developer in fact as a developer myself bgdigital I am usually very critical of other apps                 Easily the best database available

I really want to like this app but the combination of the quirky interface and working on an iPad just do not make for a pleasant experience Too much tapping to create items attach photos and attach a receipt from Dropbox The addition of Dropbox sync was nice and the app overall has a lot of power but there needs to be some way to create the initial inventory from a computer with this as a companion app to do simple maintenance Ive spent months taking inventory of a few dozen items Its truly painful     It works but WAY too tedious

This is an amazing inventory app Ive tried a few and this is by far the best My only past wish was for an OS X version so I could enter notes and such a little faster but the bar code scanner helped speed up the basic input Now Im having the same camera issue as a previous reviewer It started with the May 9 update and the issue occurs on both an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6 as well as an iPad Data entry has become really painful Please fix        Worth 5 stars but

This app can keep an impressive amount of information about your household belongings However it is really impossible to figure out how to set up and its tricky to use From setting up category attributes product mappings item groups and item values which doesnt mean the monetary value of the item this app finally makes you give up on having an itemized inventory I realize the app has a high user rating thats the reason I bought it But it is just too convoluted to set up if you are not naturally able to set up software or schooled in that field This app had a couple features that really attracted me to it but not being able to layout a scheme for this program made them useless     One of the most comprehensive home inventory apps Ive seen

This is a very nice application voice over works very well I only wish it was able to sync between devices              Great app

Feature has been promised in the next release for a long time now easily for two years Hasnt happened yet Without continuous background sync maintaining several databases on several devices all the while making sure everything is uptodate is painful and very errorprone So easy to make changes on two different devices and loose them when synchronizing manually by exporting and then importing Try and ask about it in support forum you are guaranteed a snappy response from Rick such as I have other priorities at the moment     No True Background Sync Terrible Rude Support

The app is pretty straightforward and easy to learn My main issues are that whenever I reopen it I have to log in with my apple ID If I dont then I cannot edit or add anything to the database Its incredibly frustrating The app isnt cheap or it wasnt when I bought it so its pretty annoying that I have to log into iTunes every time I use it Add in the manual synch which doesnt seem to work for keeping the same data on two devices I might as well have used the free version Its annoying enough that I want my money back        Frustrated

Im totally satisfied with this APP It may have a learning curve but your valuables deserve it A you know what you have B you know where its at and C the developer keeps the system current Moreover the synching works flawlessly                 IOS 8 Perfect

MyStuff2 Pro is one of those amazing standout apps that is extremely well thought out rock solid highly flexible and incredibly feature rich While it comes with several readytouse templates some of which Ive used Ive also added a few to better fit my own needs Currently Ive inventoried coin collections vehicles furnishings jewelry electronics and yard equipment You can align all of your stuff to exactly where you want for example Home Front Living Room Book Case Bottom Right Drawer Small Tin Box And you can expand on the templates Rick provides or create your own I can attach pictures create reusable dropdown list boxes for consistent terminology use export your data to a web browser and import you data for faster data loading I was able to quickly import 250 items in only a few hours Other than automatic data syncing which Rick is already working on I cant think of anything else it needs Oh and I had a question about how to use the Amazon integration which Rick responded to quickly This is a superb app with fantastic support Nicely done Rick                 Outstanding

Ive dabbled with lots of database type apps over the years but this one is really impressive I like the ability to tune it to my needs Setting up a new category was a bit tedious but once I got that done adding items was fast especially with the builtin online search and barcode reader I especially like the ability to export to Excel which keeps me from being locked into this app for the long term I only wish I found this long ago before I wasted money on a few other apps that are not as comprehensive                 This is a killer app

I had been searching for a program to catalog my rock collection I tried several and they were expensive not user friendly allowed a small number of photos or kept crashing I tried MyStuffPro2 and was able to create a category for my rocks and subcategories as I needed You can even import Excel spreadsheets Its so flexible and easy You can use it to keep track of anything The 899 price was well worth it                 Great for inventorying rock collections

This is the best app for taking inventory of your stuff whether it be for business or personal VERY GOOD support from the developer as well Pro version is very well worth what you pay for it                 I LOVE THIS APP
