I have used this app for years and LOVED it but since the new iOS 11 rollout it is not working well I have sent numerous emails to the developer and he has not had the courtesy to respond When adding a new movie images do not import some movies are not found and the genre doesn t import This makes the app ver UN user friendly     Disappointed in support MB Shopaholic

I really don t like to be mean or negative on reviews but this app is not quite up to par It takes a long time to enter a new movie and when it does get entered it often does not have all of the correct info Editing my list was also a pain or nigh on impossible     Ummmm not what I m looking for Proverbsmom

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away this app used to be great Cataloging was east and efficient Tried this app again last night to update my collection since I m moving and it was a horrible experience I would scan a barcode it would pull up a way different movie but leave the title as is Or it would pull up the movie and change the title of it It s extremely bugged and no longer seems to work Will be looking for another solution It was real while it lasted The end         Used to love this app once upon a time EmNine

This app used to be perfect for my needs I use it to keep myself from accidentally purchasing duplicates which has happened to me before but suddenly I can t see my list of movies no matter which category I use to search the app closes itself every time This needs fixing     Used to be great what happened LauraRusso152

When I first tried this app it was like the first date with a gorgeous woman I thought I d found what I d been looking for But then like dating that gorgeous woman the true innards of the app are ugly as sin MyBoxOffice fails miserably Using it is onerous There s almost no info on how to manage the scanned data After a lot of time gleaning over the web site I was able figure some things out and it was all bad While it does a fairly good job of acquiring the basic info of a movie if it misses anything making corrections isn t easy especially the movie s title it s an exercise in frustration Once you ve scanned your movies you no doubt want to import the file to your Mac right It has a lame desktop app to download that s a horrible Java app It s operation is impossible to figure out I ve seen better my world Java apps You can also download the data as a CSV file via DropBox but the csv file is horribly structured Furthermore you lose all the cover art Lastly if you download the app on other IOS devices the data doesn t sync via iCloud Pitiful Absolutely pitiful In a nutshell the basic concept of the app is good Unfortunately the execution of it horribly amateurish The developer is clueless about how to make an app that s user friendly nor even completely accomplish it s intended purpose Save your money and time and look elsewhere     Is NOT as advertised Radsport

This app does everything you would expect in a movie cataloging app Entry is easy you can scan the barcode to have all of the information pre filled or enter it yourself manually It searches 7 different sources to make sure the correct information is displayed If the information for some reason isn t correct it can easily be changed manually Even the cover art is displayed and your movies are listed in an iOS music like format I buy a lot of movies so having an app like this to keep track of them all is essential to avoid buying duplicates My only gripe is that the barcode scanning starts to slow down once you scan in movies back to back but hopefully that will be fixed in future updates If you want an app to keep track of your movie collection this is the real deal                     EXCELLENT movie cataloging app EvilAdam420

AWESOME App works great Had been looking at movie list apps for about a year Took a gamble on this app when it came out have been using it for several months Data carried over w o a hitch from a 4 to a 5 sync through pc emailed copy of movie list to PC Well worth the gamble Now I m not buying duplicate movies and can keep track of who has borrowed what I am also using it to keep track of a book series that needs completed App is very easy to use You can scan in multiple titles at once add your own cover photo and edit manually if needed This app is worth the if you are wanting a simple user friendly way to keep track of your movie collection                     Alistor Mundungus T'Chieu

This has nice graphics and several ways to search which is nice I have found it to be very buggy and when using the scanner I had several entries not save Menus are often unresponsive and sometimes the program freezes completely Once these issues are addressed I think it ll be a great program for the price         Buggy katehintx

Let me say that I tried the lite version of this app first After about 20 movies I was told I had to upgrade to this app No problem except that the lite version did not allow me to upgrade so I had to get this app and start all over loading my movie info The other problem I have had with these folks is that if you have it look for a pic of your movie and it does not find it if you click save anyway the app just stops and you need to access the app again Very annoying when you have hundreds of movies Other than that it does what it is suppose to do                 Ok Could be better johnnyangle2002

This is an excellent idea for an app that fills a need but it tends to crash a lot when editing the record contents and when adding new records via the barcode scanner If the bugs were addressed I would rate this app a 5 of 5             Great idea needs more debugging Kteam23

This is fun and is a great way to keep track of your collection It does crash sometimes but I don t see that I lose any data because of it I am maintaining a large database and using the layering utility seems to help performance and minimize crashes                 This is a great app SquallyWally

The app works well but it needs one more bell and whistle I use Booxter on the laptop and that has smart lists that access and update items for my favorite actors when they create Booxter specifically for the IPad this app will be obsolete unless it upgrades It really needs user lists within the app to be complete                 MyBoxOffice Renee939

I tried a couple of other movie database apps and came back to this one as the best of the lot You might want to try out the free version first before spending the money to buy the full version The barcode scanner worked flawlessly I was amazed at how easy and accurate it was I wasn t able to scan more than six barcodes at a time though After that it got glitchy and the saved barcodes would disappear only to reappear later with the end result of movies being entered into the database multiple times It took about 5 hours to scan and save a database of 500 movies Out of that 500 there were three barcodes that weren t recognized and had to be entered manually Not a bad percentage considering a lot of those movies were old obscure titles It also helped to close the app and reboot every 100 movies or so That allowed the database to update without overloading it A lot of the glitches disappeared after I started rebooting more often I would like to see a few changes in the app itself The ability to edit the movie synopsis or even write my own synopsis would be a welcome addition The ability to add the year of release and the actors directors etc would be nice and make it sortable by year actor director etc The option to clear the scanned barcode cache is almost a necessity If I scanned a barcode twice for any reason the app required me to save each instance If I tried to cancel without saving the same barcode would just come up the next time I tried to enter a movie There was no way to clear it out of the cache The second save would be identified as a duplicate and gives the option of not adding it to the database If I chose to not add it the option of being able to access other scanned barcodes would disappear and there was no obvious way to access them again unless I scanned another barcode If I chose to save the movie as a duplicate the same thing happened Access to other scanned barcodes disappeared I discovered near the end of the process that the barcode cache could be accessed again if I chose to enter a title manually A message would pop up stating I had scanned barcodes and give me the option of saving them A minor annoyance that it took me so long to discover that little trick Not being able to clear the barcode cache was a major annoyance My only other complaint is the lack of documentation or instructions This app had a slight learning curve and figuring out how to access different options took time that could have been used to scan movies A help file would have saved a lot of frustration on my part Overall I am satisfied with my purchase There is definite room for improvement but it s a nice app and the few glitches are not insurmountable issues and did I mention the barcode scanner is fantastic                 Good but not perfect Kotja

This is a good product that makes maintaining your movie library a breeze Both scanning and manual entry take no time at all One thing I d like to see is the ability to pull in the movie details such as a summary and artists into the profile Making this data searchable could provide filter capabilities by artist Overall I would highly recommend it             Good app jifern

I love the app it is great for my OC tendencies But being so anal also makes me hate the crashes that occasionally occur Warning do not scan a huge amount of barcodes before saving the few you already have They may mysteriously vanish requiring you to re scan I can t help but wonder if there s an app like this for video game collections as well                 It s great But Neil Armstrong*

I also own this developer s book database which I really like but right now this movie database seems to be unstable I ve started entering my movies quite often after I ve entered 5 or 6 I go see the list movies are listed alphabetically wrong or twice or not at all Then I close the app come back a little later they re all there I hope he fixes this problem because otherwise it s a good app just like the book one Once the issue is fixed it ll be a 5 star app             Good but needs more stability LYB1021

This app is nice I love having a place to store all my movies at on my phone Before I just had a list of them saved on the computer but this is great because it organizes it for me and I have it with me at all times I especially like being able to see all the covers when you turn the phone on it s side Two suggestions I would like to be able to see how long each movie is And the only other thing is it would be nice if there was a feature that kept take of the last time I watched the movie and I could sort by date watched Right now I am just keeping track of last time watched in the notes section                     Great place to keep track of movies jenkey

Nice app Does what it says very well There are a few miscellaneous issues that once addressed would make it a 5 for me 1 the list of movies sometimes shows duplicates it s intermittent and I haven t been able to figure out when why it happens but a simple scroll down thru the list clears the duplicates 2 I d like to see more details on the movies like format full screen or widescreen or at least aspect ratio length of the movie and cast 3 Cover art seems to get loaded at a low resolution so at large size it s not a crisp picture I buy a lot of movies cheap 3 at Big Lots and this will keep me from buying duplicates Scanning is VERY easy A strong selling point                 Very nice app Would like more info on the movies though Harryhaggle

Bottom line up front this has proven to be a worthwhile purchase The interface is relatively intuitive to use and the presentation of data is highly functional I especially like the ability to back up the database to Dropbox Scanning product bar codes with the in built camera is not hyped enough It is a very strong sales point in my book The occasional crash or difficulty importing data has given me cause to send the author an e mail or two I ve always gotten a quick courteous and informative reply More importantly the issues I ve looked for assistance on appear to have been addressed within an update or two Kudos In future iterations it would be very nice to see a good selection of cover art when manually updating entries It would also be nice to see the creation of a database of user created movie information shared between all MyBoxOffice users                 MyBoxOffice Got Nick?
