This app brings the Mt. Tam Trail Map from Tom Harrison Maps to the iPhone and iPod touch. This map covers Mt. Tamalpais State Park, Muir Woods National Monument, Blithedale Summit Preserve, part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and surrounding ...
I love the application The map is great I only have one problem and that is that this does not include the entire mt tam watershed It should go farther north to Kent lake If somehow this could be added would make it so much greater              A great app With one disapointment
Ive been using the Tom Harrison map for years Its the definitive mt tam map Great to have it on the phone for reference even if you have no cell signal The app itself needs a few more versions to become a great app Its kinda clunky Looking forward to some needed updates              Great map clunky app
Absolutely Excellent                 Mt Tam Map
Thought I dont really like in the interface it just doesnt look good But that map is high quality and good BUT I cant find where it says what the pictures on the mapmean I am looking forward to an update                 pretty good for itouch
I hike these trails a lot and this app is super helpful to learn them The GPS feature makes it easy to tell where I am and which trails I encounter It also allows me to be adventurous without the fear of getting lost The qualityresolution could be improved and the user interface leaves a lot to be desired but it gets the job done and definitely beats carrying a map or going without              Super Handy UI needs improvement
My wife and I downloaded this app because of all the great reviews and because we didnt want to mess with a paper map I am so happy I decided to buy it Absolutely worth the 5 dollars Despite some antiquated UI the app works exactly as it promises It tells you where you are on the trail even when cell service is poor or virtually nonexistent To compare I even opened my google maps app and it wasnt nearly as accurate as this app We knew where we were at all times and its accuracy allowed us to veer off to other trails without worrying about getting lost A must own for the dipsea trail and other adjacent trails                 The only app you need for this area
This app is a joke Its 5 more than it should cost All you get is a picture of a trail map that you can zoom in on meaning when you zoom out the trail names will be unreadable I bought this app out of desperation and against my principles I wasnt pleasantly surprised It doesnt even show every trail name So poor in fact that I had to ditch it half way up mt Tam in favor of google maps which showed where I actually was on the trail Btw Tam has good cell coverage in most spots This app is clunky the resolution of the image is low bordering on blurry and the price is outrageous Allinall paper trail maps make this app seem obsolete and outdated If you buy this app you are making a huge mistake You might as well shred five dollars and tape the pieces back together into a topographic representation of this fine mountain     Use google maps
I was only around Muir Woods for one morning and this app kept me from getting terribly lost trying to pick my way on the Dipsea steps trail and in the park Entirely worth the 5 as I saw twice as much as I would have during a 2 hour trail run Thanks so much or this app                 Perfect
Allowed us to find trails we wouldnt have taken without it One great thing is that it loads very quickly even on my old 3G              Not pretty but fast and works
Excellent Map Usable and even nice to look at Unlike many of the topo maps this one is a map in which you can distinguish trails from mountains from roads etc A great bargain at 5 Highly recommended I am not a relative or friend of the developer I have bought a lot of the maps and these are by far the best                 A Great Topo Map That You Can Read
The app itself is clunky at best but the Tom Harrison basemap is by FAR the best map of Mt Tam trails and landmarks Professional rescuers on Mt Tam rely on the paper version of this map and although there are a few errors and omissions its the best by a large margin Think of this as a passable alternative or supplement to the paper version If Earthrover wants 4 stars the interface and icon need updating and a legend specific to TH maps needs to be added For 5 stars this map really needs to be displayed as a vector image which I know for a fact the map was created in since at higher zoom levels the map becomes pixelated and the seams between stitched together tiles often dont line up perfectly           OK because the base map is unbeatable
