This is what a cookbook should be Electronic searchable informative with beautiful photos                 Sets the bar for future cookbooks

If you love cooking and learning this is for you I cant stop reading it                 Great book

I like it better than a print book because it can dynamically change recipes based on serving size I wish the app would remember which page I was on when I switch to another app and then switch back                 Great book

This is in my opinion the most interesting cookbook in the world It gives you a fresh look at ways to approach everyday meals The print book is very aesthetically pleasing and cool to have on the shelf but not quite as handy as this app I would love to see an iOS version of the whole Modernist Cuisine book set                 Beautifully done and worth every penny

I would give this app a 5 star rating if there was an easier way to print the recipes and the shopping list Inkling makes it a nightmare process to do and if you do not have a FB account I I do not and will not you can only print two a day NOT GOOD           Love the app dislike the publisher

I agree with all the 5star reviews I was happy to learn that this is not only an iPad app but also has an iPhone version One bug I have found there is a feature for sending the shopping list by email but it does not work It would be handy to plan the dish on the iPad and then mail the list to the iPhone to shop Most modernist cuisine is marvelous but some of it amounts to party gags It is all fun though                 Wow wow wow this is a masterpiece

Very good content but organizationnavigationdiscovery can be murky and inconsistent           Uneven

I love the information this app offers Beautiful pictures and very easy to understand The one complaint I have is how this app or book scrolls Top to Bottom from page to page When I scroll unknowingly to get to the bottom of a paragraph to finish reading it flips the page This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 Overall great app              Great App

After spending all this money which alleges a shopping list can be produced there s no way to print Sharing via email only gets you a link that trys to sell you chapters that you already ownfor this price this should worksheesh        Shopping list is a joke

The book is wonderful The content is amazing and it really will shake up any conventions a traditional home cook might hold The directions pictures and organization of content are all topnotch The elephant in the room The price feels high for an app but if youre even considering this purchase it means youve probably already weighed this purchase against the print version of Modernist Cuisine Besides this cost is likely dwarfed by what youll be spending on kitchen tools I found even at the current price this was by far the best way to obtain the vast knowledge of Modernist Cuisine My only complaints are a few of the bugs that appear related to a nascent app For example Im currently completely unable to log in to register via Facebook and signing up for the inkling account hung the app restarting fixed it Some of the screen transitions feel jerky even on an iPad Air Scrolling between chapters has been unreliable on occasion and sometimes sections jump ahead a little to soon when I was just trying to view the bottom of a section None of these affected my rating however as they really didnt dampen my experience while I started to digest the contents of this book I also imagine them easy to fix in future versions                 Superb book app still has a few minor bugs

I have a printed one but this app is a pure joy Book is excellent app is excellent i wish we could get one day full mc edition 5 books best culinary book in app store for me                 Joy

I own both the MC full set and MCAH and I cant tell you how many times Ive wanted to look something up when Im not at home This app not only has basically the whole MCAH book it also allows you to scale recipes with one click and shows complete recipe variations whereas the book only tells you which steps to change The shopping list feature is also more convenient than most                 Essentially the whole MCAH Book to go

This app is good It works fairly seamlessly Everything seems to work correctly The only disappointment is that its really only like watching a preview for a movie You only get a picture of what its all about The app and at home book both reference the full set which obviously you have to have access to in order to reference I am guessing most people buying this app or book are unable to afford the full set So it just leaves a little to be desired           Good but just a preview

Very disappointed because the first recipe I tried from this expensive app was a failure because the ingredients were incorrect I never would have understood why my sous vide French scrambled eggs failed to cook if I hadnt contacted a friend who had a copy of the book and verified that the amount of milk shown in the app is four cups more than it should have been What else is wrong in this app        Modernist Cuisine at Home

This is an amazing book for anyone who loves cooking loves eating and likes to experiment The bookapp goes into the science of cooking and teaches you how to cook meals like you eat at a fancy restaurant The pictures are beautiful and the instructions are clear for anyone who knows at least a little bit about cooking However before you buy this book you should know that it can be a little expensive buying some of the tools you may need sous vide cooker siphon pressure cooker blow torch scales thermometers blenders special ingredients etc You dont need the special tools for all of the recipes but you do need them to make the most of the cookbook The other thing is that some of the recipes do take a long time to cook For myself this book has helped rekindle a love of cooking and I enjoy experimenting with the recipes in this book every chance I get                 Simple instructions to cook amazing food
