Love using this program to do my genealogy I can do everything I want for genealogy in a single program                 awesome program

Aside from the third party search functions this app is no more useful than writing out information in a notebook It will not do things like search public records etc Not worth the price even at 50 off        Nothing more than a pretty organizer

Im not a genealogy geek and cant compare this relative to other programs because I havent used others I bought this to keep track of my girlfriends complicated family and it is not only helpful but visually interesting and enjoyable to use I think if you use software and value it enough to want it to be rewritten for your brand new largerscreen phone leaving a onestar review to try to pummel the developers is just pathetic                 Enjoyable

Add support for iPhone 6 because everything is better with large screen     iPhone 6 support

I have happily used MacFamilyTree for several years was looking forward to trying MobileFamilyTree It worked OK for a few months then stopped It could not see my database in the cloud Waited for several updates the issue wasnt resolved Finally contacted Synium Software support in May 2014 received one excuse after another After still more revisions to both the app operating systems the app can recognize the database but wont open it Theres just a little spinning wheel that never stops Finally they said it is a problem with iCloud Drive Contacted Apple who of course says it is a Synium Software problem Im still stuck with an app that doesnt work Wish I could give negative stars black holes Dont waste your money     Severe Disappointment

I downloaded this app wanting to upload my family tree gedcom file to work on it while mobile Turns out that to upload your tree you need to share it publicly through the family searchdotorg website one person at a time very misleading of them to charge 15 then expect you to share your tree publicly then build it manually anyway Total ripoff     Waste of money

After raving about Mac FT and Mobile FT for the few years all can say is not fit for prime time The upgraded versions cost me a months worth of lost research and the iPad seems unable to ever open the iCloud saved tree What next Im terrified of losing all my records with these apps Hope they can work out the bugs but in the meantime save your money     Most disappointing

Contrary to what you say in the notes for v751 you have not solved the database migration issues iPhone 5S iOS 83 attempting to download a database from iCloud results in 0 slowly rising then starting over at 0 once it reaches 100 Endlessly        Database Migration Not Solved

I have been using Mobile Family Tree for a few years now and I am really impressed with all its functions and capabilities It works seamlessly with Mac Family Tree 7 and iCloud What is also impressive it the way the developers are continually working on enhancements This week I ran into my first issue I contacted the developers and within hours I had a response explaining the issue and when they expected the issue to be resolved which was hours not days Anyone who is looking for a great tool for building their family tree should seriously consider purchasing this app                 Great App and keeps getting better and better

I have populated my entire immediate family into the program and have attempted to find more information through family search It doesnt find anything on anyone Even when I know the exact dates and place of birth they are non existent I can upload MY data into their database but get nothing back So I payed for this app so I can update THEIR database     Worthless

If I could give this a 0 I would It freezes the phone after every attempt to link people together eg Add a parent or even adding in a new person sometimes I had to wait each time about 5 min after pushing the OFF button for it to turn off so I could turn it back on and reset the App Nothing else worked I could not get out of the program any other way and all buttons inside the program were unresponsive Never downloaded an app that was this bad and especially one I actually paid for Not sure even how to get my money back but I sure am going to try     Do NOT Buy

The 725 75x syncing problem is resolved Big Improvements overall in 76 on 812 especially with sources but still room for improvement My biggest gripe is the UI is hokey at times and the iPad iPhone versions have a different feel and flow than the Mac version especially the iPhone This is especially true for relationships spouse parents children and takes much longer to add or navigate a family As well as details of an event or an individual of an individual other than relationships is different though perhaps for the better because it is all on one screen I am just not used to seeing it there and there are unused fields consuming space Overall though I like they are easily accessible So screen space utilize screen space in portrait mode on the iPad and seems cramped because the side navigation bar takes up so much space It can be compressed if you notice the little arrow hidden at the bottom of the screen but it is a bit hokey where it is Maybe by default having it be the compressed version would help my opinion The iPhone version even on the 6 plus doesnt show the side bar in landscape or portrait mode and so it is going back back back and then forward for that part I like the compressed menu bar of the iPad version I would like a jump to function or something I would also like the search bar to stay at the top when searching for names as you scroll so I do not have to power scroll through large databases to calibrate my search              Version 76 huge improvements still some UI hokeyness

use this when i am away from my macbook air MacFamilyTree was the reason I switched from a PC to a Mac and this app for the Ipad is a great plus The Familysearchorg integration is fantastic                 one of my favorite apps

I wish I had known in advance this was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have no affiliation with them and dont particularly want to be in their database No offense just prefer a product that would be more inclusive Think this should have been disclosed more clearly     Didnt disclose key fact

Excellent App Works seamless with the Mac version Easy to use                 Great Application

I like it a lot It is easy to work with but it still needs a lot of work Should also include support for family names in the format for other countries For example in Mexico and most of Latin America names are composed of one or more surnames then there is the fathers last name and the mothers last name Right now you only have support for US American format And no matter how you write the DOB you dont get the age in the personal report And other bugs than have been addressed in other users reviews Still I think it is very good app that has lots of potential Another thing I would like to see is the possibility to share and work with other users family members to make a cooperative database in real time You are doing a great job Keep it up           Good app but still needs work worth buying still

I like the interactive interface I have entered persons manually and by down loading from family search Is very intuitive I have also down loaded and uploaded GEDCOM files I have run into some items I do not yet under stand They are as follows 1 I down loaded persons from family search and selected them for use in interactive tree interface which worked just fine I opened a new family tree for a pioneer ancestor out of the family tree I just entered The persons entered previously were not available in the new interactive family I downloaded names needed from family search and entered them in the new interactive family I closed out and when re opened all but one person was gone 2 I have entered names manually in interactive family and they show in interactive family but only one name shows in fan view When I close out and re open in interactive family view all but one name is gone Dont know what Im doing wrong It is frustrating to enter names and have them disappear I have tried it several times with same result 3 If I enter names in interactive family view and then export to GEDCOM file and then Import the GEDCOM file back all names are in interactive family view 4 Instructions do not clear up problem I am having              Mobile Family Tree 7

A fullfeatured mobile version of MacFamilyTree 7 from OS X and with iCloud it definitely is the best                 Best Genealogy Tool

I have loved the opportunity to download and upload data with FS for the last month Today being 8 NOV 2013 children started to display in the partner box Used to be able to delete erroneous data in FS but not now I am loosing confidence quickly Lets geter fixed people           Problem with Family Search interface

Say your a man and you are married Now say you have a sister Look at the Interactive Family map Your wed to your wife with a tie line overlaid with golden rings icon Now look for you sisters tie to your parents in relation to your wife See the ugliness of the crossing Why cannot your siblings just be on the other side of your inlaw tree They are not the point of focus you are so why the ridiculous rendering Ive pointed this out to the developers at least for the last three updates iOS and OS X Standard response it is hard to fix algorithmically This is a 5 star app if you could just make the main graphical display render correctly and aesthetically        Yet another version same old bug

MobileFamilyTree 71 is a well designed and extremely powerful app In my opinion its the most comprehensive app I have ever used I am very pleased with all the beautiful graphics and the whole range of features Definitely recommended to buy                 Most capable iOS app ever

I use the desktop version 6 and really like the different views available For some reason in the mobile app this does not work You have one record open and then when you open the fan view it if centered on another person and the ancestor viewed uses yet another person etc The app has a lot of potential but need to get rid of the bugs Also the iCloud syncing is not seeless when you use version 6 desktop and this version mobile I found a way to do it but no help on the family tree web site        Disappointing

The Synium surprises once again with an amazing update The app is getting better The dual application MacFamilyTree for Mac and iOS are certainly the best of the genre family tree Thanks to Synium and MacFamilyTree by making the creation of family trees much easier interactive and exciting Up Up and Away                 7 Times Great

So here I am 2000 miles from home trying to add my new grandson into my database Guess what The latest update cant see my iCloud data Cant believe they tested this version before release Normally I dont update while away from home but a accidentally hit the Update All button     Wheres My Family

I bought MobileFamilyTree and then they pulled it from the store and replaced it with MobileFamilyTree Pro Now they ask for another 8 I would have been fine paying for v6 to v7 but that Pro inbetween and dropping support for the nonPro version still has me irked If they pull that stunt again with v7 Ill stop using it Also mobile version doesnt sync with Dropbox Their website doesnt mention that Dropbox as a sync option for MacFamilyTree doesnt sync with the mobile version     Yet another paid update

I bought this app for my iPad started playing with it and was totally surprised when it asked for a social security number when adding info about people for whom I had entered name birthdate and birthplace Why does ANY app include SSN I have since then deleted the app     It asks for SSN

The application itself seems pretty robustlots of features and appears to be fairly intuitive Unfortunately Ive hardly gotten to use it because its connected to the worst online genealogy research site Ive ever seen Theres no record of my family or me having ever existed If you already know everything about your familys history this app might be a good way to organize and visually see it all but if youre trying to find some of that information this app may not provide the necessary resources to help you do that Additional websites and research sources will probably be required At least they were for me        The Good and the Bad

This app is beautifully organized and syncs well with other devices I can now update and add family members status on the fly in a family reunion and expand the tree Also I can illustrate my kids about their kin Keep the good work                 Great mobile family tree

This app is fantastic It is beautiful and has a whole lot of potential Some things I would like to see though Linking a married couple and showing offspring as belonging to both of them Right now the husbandwife looks like it is a child in the kinship charts and the child only brackets off of one of the parents not both And there is a thing that happens whenever I try to add a childone of the parents gets doubled so that there are two mothers on the chart but only one of them is connected to the recently added child           Love it but not as much as Id like

This app renders the information pretty enough syncs well so I may also see it in the corresponding Mac version and I am glad they officially integrate with FamilySearch but much is missing and RootsMagic still seems a better program This app needs to allow searching and downloading multiple generations imagine if that is a starting point or if I have just found a person to add It also needs to allow multiple matching as a preference to turn onoff by the user especially if the data matches exactly The developers say living members are not allowed but I know that only applies to siblings cousins or nondirect lineage Children parents and grandparents are allowed by FamilySearch but not yet done here        Pretty but needs better search find and match

The app simply doesnt work in iCloud since iOS 8 release ie almost one yearThe Company does NOTHING to resolve the issue They posted troubleshooting guide that is timeconsuming and actually doesnt work When you finish all step in the guide s and get back to consumer support they just refer to issues on Apple side However they continue to state on website and advertising that your tree is sync on iCloud and available on all Apple devices It is not true but they continue to sell the software Be aware of this fraud and stay away     Fraud

It doesnt retrieve trees saved in iCloud Not good Has been wonderful in past but this glitch needs to be fixed              Problem with this version on iPad

While I think the virtual3D family tree thing is kind of silly this app does have a lot of useful features and its great to be able to input data while I am at a cemetery or have a relative telling me about important events in their life I am not having problems with iCloud sync Seems to work great but would be nice to have Dropbox integration also FEATURE REQUEST When entering coordinates for a location it would be magical to be able to navigate to a location on a map view and for the app to capture the coordinates for me Right now I am using an app called Coordinates to do this but then manually switching between the two apps to enter the geolocation numbers              Making Updates While On the Go

The new report features look nice but have lost some functionality that was there in the previous version The Events report will list birthsdeaths by year and then clump marriages and divorces at the end of the report No way to truly sort everything chronologically as in the previous version Cleaner appearance but doesnt do what I need it to do Likewise the person list report has several sorting options When you choose to sort by date of birth it sorts it by last name instead Several other sorting options also sort by last name No way to obtain a report of every member of the tree listed chronologically I am wishing I could uninstall the update I guess looks are more important than function           Frustrated with new reports

I cant even begin to describe how much this app and the iPad and Mac counterparts have completely changed my life This has totally instilled a ridiculously fun and interesting zeal for family history I cant recommend this enough The apps are solid as can be and so much fun to investigate The different reports and graphs that you can generate are fascinating Synium has really thought of everything It is worth every penny splurging on this whole suiteit will change the way you do Family History forever I have already learned so much about my heritage I dont know where I would be without it On top of that I asked the developers about other features if theyd be implemented soonI received a response within hours                 Changed my life forever
