MIDI Pattern Sequencer is a tool with powerful and at the same time very comfortable, intuitive and easy interface. It is the main feature, through which the sequencer can easily used by anyone, from beginner ...
So far this is my preferred MIDI sequencer app for the iOS environment That said its missing a key feature that I really do need to use this as a mobile music maker As far as I can tell there is no way to actually export any the individual sequences Id love to send my work out to my DAW software when I get home without an easy export option I dont release anyway of making that happen This could be fixed Id be very appreciate           Good could be great
Good product quick replies to inquiries I cannot wait for this product to evolve This developer has a good thing going with this app as it fills the needs of a midi device driversequenceryes there is the other similar competing app which is quite nice actually it plays VERY well with virtual midi apps but this app has TONS of potential I cannot wait for the updates to start rolling in              I like the cut of this mans jib
Needs to be simplified way too complicated        Waste of time
Im not sure why I bought this app I would like to have my money back The description is misleading The sequencer has limited capability and the interface is not intuitive The keyboard does not scroll not sure you can add a monophonic track to a pattern The automation process seems limited to a single event per patternit seems that the sequencer works only with 16 steps it is hard to edit the duration of a note of the notes not obvious How to send multiple cc or rpn midi message per pattern So disappointed     Do not buy
With a piano roll and more granular control of pattern launching Id like this more           Its good if you like step sequencing
I bought MIDI Pattern Sequencer for two reasons 1 I was and still am looking for the ideal standalone piano roll MIDI editor to use with iPad synths samplers and drum machines and 2 I am very fond on this developers other product Audio Mastering But while Im generally happy with the app I feel 4 stars is a more appropriate rating since its gone a while without an update and is missing a few things The primary thing to recognize is that app is monophonicwell sort of Each row you see on that neat and tidy grid layout can only be assigned to a single note However you can assign multiple rows to the same instance of an app So if your MIDI app is Sunrizer rows 13 could all be driving different notes from that same app and you could make a chord But youd have to program it notebynote which is tedious If polyphonic chords through MIDI are what you want to do Xynthesizer Genome or other sequencers are probably a better bet But there are still many advantages to using mSequencer For one hook up and assigning MIDI to other apps was a breeze Very easy to get to and without having to dive through several submenus Also while the app itself does not produce sound you can use the keyboard in the app to essentially preview notes as you program them This combined with the excellent pattern and sequencing options would allow you to put together a fairly complete project with minimal hassle If the developer had continued to work on the app and improve it polyphony interface chord buttons this may be the best sequencer on the market at this time Take a look at Analog midiSequencer for an example of a simple app that added major features down the road But as it is mSequencer still works and is still preferrable to many of the alternatives Note As a practical matter trying to run multiple synths throuh mSequencer on my iPad2 is just not a good idea If you dedicate the whole grid to just one app it really is polyphonic it just has a different approach to note programming              Reliable but incomplete MIDI Sequencer
if you make pro audio apps take a lesson from this one proper design and performance a much needed sign that there are developers out there trying to make professional quality apps                 a step forward in pro audio apps
This is an excellent sequencer with plenty of features that just arent available on some of the more expensive apps and some features like customized color schemes that probably wont be available on those apps As with many independently developed apps there are still a few bugs here and there but the developer seems very responsive to suggestions and bug reports so its likely they wont be there for long Highly recommended                 Excellent MIDI Sequencer
