I read about Meld on a blog over a year ago and tested it then It was subpar at that point but I thought that may be because it was new Today I came across it in another blog and noticed that it was updated a few days ago so I decided to give it another try Things looked a little better but I can only see 5 potential matches every 12 hours unless I pay at which point I can see more but the other reviews suggest that the experience isnt worth the money Only 10 profile views or swipes per day is insanely low Meld has the potential to fill a massive void in the online dating world for black professionals but this app needs a serious upgrade before it can be viewed as a worthy competitor to the Tinders and Hinges of the world You should also allow users to upload photos that arent on Facebook        Like the idea app needs work

This app is not worth downloading The app rarely matches you with people youve liked but instead shows a blurred long list of people who have liked your profile This incentivizes people to purchase a confirmed like due to lack of organic likes a very smart strategy on behalf of the company to increase profit Nevertheless the app is worthless     Lack of organic likes to increase profit

doesnt make sense that i have to have a facebook account just to sign up     no thanks

Im not able to even log in getting As network error even though I have perfect reception and wifi access     Buggy

I liked the premise behind the app of matching single black professionals However this app falls short in so many ways Firstly the options on there as far as guys is lacking Also you have to pay to see who likes you which I did and was not attracted to any of them I went to one of their events in NYC at 1Oak to celebrate the launch of the app The music and cocktails were amazing Too bad the female to male ratio was 101 I deleted it after a week My best friend after one day     Rip Off

Thx to Meld for innovating in the black dating space its crazy more ppl arent doing it given that OKCupid continues to publish how much we fail on sites like theirs Ive seen quality folks on Meld looking fwd to connecting with more                 Great app

Think of Meld as LinkedUp for black people The concept behind this app is great Its safe to use because members are verified through Facebook and LinkedIn I didnt give it 5 stars because it is lacking in membership and it keeps showing you profiles you have already passed on However once this catches on in the black community this could be big An app like this is only as good as its quantity and quality of members So join guys              They are on to something

I love the concept of dating for the Black Professional In the beginning there were some bugs but after the developer fixed them I havent been having issues Ive had a lot more luck and have been on more dates using this app compared to your traditional dating sitesapps that dont really cater to the Black Professional I love the Meld App and have already recommended it to friends me colleagues                 Great concept and connections

After I granted the app access to FB it did move to the next screen which I assume is the LinkedIn access page Only a blank screen appeared     Doesnt Move Past Facebook Login Screen

If you release an app in the App Store you would think that you would test to see if the actual app workswhich it does not     Whats the point

Love the idea Downloaded App Customized settings because I didnt want certain information sharedcollected from my Social media accounts Now I cant access the MELD app Keeping trying to reset both apps Discouragedill wait until next year     Discouraged Respect my privacy

You only get 5 profiles to look at every 12 hours and it requires access to your email account just to delete your account     Awful

The potential mates are ok I dont like that you cant see more about the person other than age location and occupation Also you cant see potential likes unless you pay but the use agreement does not explain that when you sign up Im going to give this app another month and see what happens        Patience is a Virtue

Im not sure how new this site is I did upgrade my membership but Im somewhat disappointed in the lack of options I like the idea of having nice professionals to choose from but I may see less than 10 near my area The options are slim I have not received any matches yet I would like to know if my choice of matches have at least viewed my profile or if Im waiting for them to log into the app If Im a paying member I should get to see more than 10 likes in a month Not many perks of being a paying member I would like to see this app advertised more to get more potential single professional men           MELD

Has a good amount of people just doesnt update properly I added info to my LinkedIn app and it wont update on this app        Ok I guess

The concept is a great one however this app is not ready for the market Issue 1 Crashes way too much Issue 2 User Profiles are minimal at best I know it gets its information from linked in but outside of that theres nothing on the personal side When you say that youll pass on someone you shouldnt have to do it 56 times in one app use It cycles through the same women as if theyre the only 57 women using the app Issue 3 No supporting Platform The connection to people relies heavily on an app thats very buggy and prone to crashing It needs a website you can go to when the app crashes This app was rushed to market Its a sound concept but it needs more work     Still needs work

Great idea horrible delivery I was like the other real reviewers I jumped at the opportunity for a professional app catering to African Americans The idea was great but nickeling and dime for every profile click or to see more of the slim pickings on the app is a bit much to me Even the larger scale dating apps dont even do that Set the monthly price and make it all inclusive full access membership Stop being greedy While at it make sure the payments section actually works instead of letting customers be billed for options they cant actually see We could appreciate more of the app if there were better design features and flexibility as a paid customer Please consider revamping and trying again     Is no stars an option

UPDATE despite what others say you do not have to pay to see who likes you You only have to pay if you did not meld with that person Chances are if you passed on that person you werent attracted to them anyway I really like the premise behind this app Its an app to try to match professionals with professionals While its small right now and theres been a few matches it is growing and I have seen an increase in the quality of matches Ive received I would recommend that try to give it a few months because what do you have to lose                 Its growing but good

Thank you for creating this Finally something that works for us I really like how you all integrate Linkedin and Facebook This adds levels of trust that lack on other dating apps The interface looks great and the experience is smooth NO CRASHES I love the variety of profiles too Will highly recommend the app to all my single friends Nicely done              About time

First of all you can only view five profiles every 12 hours To add insult to this when you come back 12 hours later you sometimes see some of the same profiles that you rejected the first time effectively wasting some or all of your 5 choices I dont believe there are very many people using this app so your local choices are severely limited Finlly you have to link it to LinkedIn so make sure that theres no specific information about where you work on there That seems like a privacysecurity violation     Just Awful

Big fan of the concept a more targeted online dating pool for professional people of color which more accurately reflects inperson encounters and dating However without an option for a membership that expandsopens full features only allowing 5 reviews per 12 hours if there is no glitch and charging 1 5 per like is rather disregardful of professionals time and money     Nice concept but

Seems like a good concept but the app doesnt work It wont connect new users to LinkedIn accounts but you cant sign up without one I do hope they work out these bugs     Doesnt Work

I was really excited when I heard about Meld That said the app is less than stellar In fact I would say that it is one of the worst apps Ive seen in a long time The team behind the app made very poor design choices For instance if you match with someone you get to see less info about them than before you matched and it can become hard to see there photos due to changes in the profile viewing interface Hmmm a dating app where you cant see the people The community is extremely small so you are likely to find few choices even fewer attractive choices near your location To add insult to injury they started charging to see more than 10 profiles every 12 hours By the way the time is broken It will read 18 mins left than 3 hours later indicate that you still have an hour left Great concept Terrible execution     Great Idea Terrible Execution

The whole 5 swipes for 12 hours thing is a bummer I liked the concept but I will be deleting this app It is not user friendly at all I would give it 0 stars if that was an option     Not very good

I love Meld The interface works great and the quality of the matches on it is very high I would highly recommend it                 Great App

Its bad enough that I have to disclose my LinkedIn account to use a dating app Now I must wait 12 hours to view 5 profiles at a time Even if you want to upgrade to a paid version to increase your allotment the premium accounts are sold out Thus you must join a waiting list for a premium account And of course Meld doesnt tell you how long the wait will be Meld get it together     5 Profiles Every 5 Hrs

This app needs some major work It says you only get 5 swipes likes and dislikes every 12 hours and then you have to wait to browse again but it actually only gives 23 swipes in that time period Then you can only see who likes you if youve also liked them if theyve liked you and you havent liked them yet you have to pay to see and theres three levels of payments but what you get in return isnt really clear This is beneficial for the developer of course but leaves room for a whole lot of miss connections and time and money wasted Theres really no incentive for me to pay for more when the free version doesnt even work properly     Downloaded now deleting

Looks like a cool app but when you go to login to Facebook and LinkedIn it only prompts you for Facebook and doesnt grant you access because you didnt grant access to all the information Not sure whats going on     Looks great but doesnt work

This app is trash and riddled with bugs and glitches If you pass on someones profile the app doesnt remember so you end up having to pass on a profile like 80 times Each time you open the app the same previously passed profiles show up again Needs serious work Also its says you can only view 10 profiles ever 12 hoursI got this message after viewing 1 profile smh THIS APP IS TERRIBLE     TERRIBLE

App keeps showing me people I have already denied Need improvement but has potential       

I wont even speak to the lack of options but after passing on tens of the options I was served every time I reinitiate the search Im forced to swipe through all of the profiles Ive previously passed on before I get to any new ones who has time for that Im passing on meld altogether     horrible

Im not sure how meld is supposed to work Ive gotten notifications that people have liked my profile but I cant see who they are There should be a notification tab and instructions        Very confusing

Keeps prompting I need to update to the newest version but when I get to the App Store there is no update Possible bug Im guessing Otherwise like the concept              Update prompt bug

Tried the app when it really should of been in Beta stage but decided to try it again after I got an email that fixes have been made They werent Consistently see the same people over and over after a decision has already been made to pass them The app is slow and the prompts dont make sense when you have a match This is a good idea however the execution is terrible     Not Ready Yet
