Best ap on my iPhone I work in the parks and rec field and use it to measure the acreage of our parks golf courses and other areas I have found it to be remarkably accurate but I have only used it for larger areas Smaller areas less than one acre are tough to measure For two bucks it is better than using a Hand held GPS because you dont have to be on site to measure something Well done application Excellent Application

I had hoped to use this app for finding distance on custom routes on maps by following existing paths It basically only connects in straight lines not curves so I dont recommend it for anything other than finding perimeter or area Great for measuring area NOT routes

Its hard to measure quantities sometimes because of terrain This app is scary accurate I use it just to double check footages with my blueprints A For construction

I just purchased some property and thought this application would be very useful for it Being able to measure and review items on your iPad and iPhone is a great idea Unfortunately the reliability just isnt there iPad iPhone 4 resulting in an application that is all but unusable After most actions the application will crash When trying to map 20 acres this makes it a nonstarter At this stage I must admit my frustration that this even made it into the app store My advice would be save your money Wait for the application to become more reliable at least usable and look at some of the alternatives Love the concept

Ive been sprinting across a field at a nearby park for months without ever quite knowing the exact distance of the sprint Ive been estimating the sprint at 250 yards when I log my workouts Thanks to this app I now know that Ive been selling myself shortThe field is exactly 276 yards long Time to update my fitness logsTY to the developers Thanks so much for such a useful tool

I am a firefighter and I use this app to figure square footage of building during inspections and preplans It works great and is helpful to figure the size of a wildland fire also You can use satellite mapping to place pins on the exterior walls of an exalting building or use current position to drop pins for new areas or open land Very good useful app Very useful

Search isnt working Disappointed Well

I received an email from the company about 3 weeks ago that stated they had an update that would allow users to switch back to google maps in the Apple store just waiting on approval Whats the holdup Apple Jobs would never have treated his customers this way very disappointed in Apple right now Update

I was initially aggravated with the app until I discovered that it starts up zoomed all the way in somewhere off the West coast of Africa At startup all you see is what appears to be a blank screen Throw in some wave action so I know I am in the ocean or give me an option in settings to control the startup location then I would add a star Not bad for the cost

Had some trouble at first but I got some great help and it was because my iPad was not current I will use this at work saving time and money Anyone who needs to field measure outdoor projects should have this Bob

This is a great area and distance measuring app The only problem I see is the icon itself That M M just looks corny It might make people think the app itself is corny when thats not true its only the icon Awesome App dont be fooled by icon

This is just what Ive been looking for Its got a lot of features and is very user friendly Im using it for node data collection to use with the djikstra algorithm to create a custom navigation system The only thing I wish it could do is edit node names and add additional node data for linking connecting nodes Incredibly Useful

Well designed and intuitive i use it mostly to measure fields in the countryside argentinean Patagonia The Satellite maps associated with this extra precise measure tool simplifies my work in a way i could not even dream of Really a great job Great application

I am an asphalt contractor that uses google earth pro for measuring areas during estimating on my PC I have not tested the accuracy of this app yet but it seems to be right on and an awesome tool to use on the go The only cons to this app are that you can only measure a single polygon at a time and there is not a way to go back in time to find an earlier maps The choices are google maps or apple maps I liked this so much that I bought the pro version for 3300 to do multiple polygons among other things not included in the lite or standard version Also more map sources can be bought with the pro version but I dont know the price Basically I love this but should have went pro to begin with What I was looking for

Too bad maps will not load anymore after the update On the positive side the distance from the bottom to the top of the grey loading screen is 83 miles New version maps dont load

I have just updated this app to iOS 8 but I realized that maps from Google with zoom are no longer available Google maps are no longer available

I am a small fence contractor and this app enables me see and field my customers calls A potential customer calls I ask for their address and enter into the app and Pow I am taken rough measurements right from my iPad and this gives me an idea as to the amount of effort that needs to be put into the lead thats on the phone before I waste my time chasing unprofitable customers Great app pays for itself Will definitely be upgrading to pro I would imagine this would be great for anyone that does roofing landscaping ect Works great

I use this app to measure my bike rides It uses Apples map API so the map looks great It runs well and the interface is very easy to understand Does what it says on the tin

I use this app to map wildfires By flying around and tapping out a perimeter I can get accurate sizes and send a KML back to dispatch which can then be used for fire planning My only request would be to be able to set a cache size as I dont always have service for the locations Im mapping and would like to be able to cache large areas when I go on detection missions Wildfire Mapper

Not impressed with the accuracy I bought the app to estimate lawn jobs and survey my property for development The pins seem to drop about 70 feet from the actual gps location and not necessary in the same direction Im glad i used it in town before i went into the woods To mark boundary lines for logging Gps not accurate

This application measures distances between two points precisely A real estate company used their similar program which undoubtedly cost hundreds of dollars and I came up with the same distance between the nearest corners of two buildings using this 199 application What I previously had to rely on the real estate company to do I can do myself anytime I need to and not between 800 and 500 Im VERY impressed Precise
