The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This app as well as Apple s on screen braille are what makes me an unabashed Apple fan You can edit everything you write without leaving the app Spell checking calling a phone number entering a calender item or a google search are things you can do quickly and efficiently with beautiful wonderful MBraille The developer maintains a relationship with his community and we love the app MBraille was the first app to get the translation issues resolved so that an s at the end of a word did not come out as the word so Buy this app and fall in love with braille again                     ellegant and clean and always updated janbrownmcEwen

So I got the free version wanted to use the spell checker so I got the paid version and the third party keyboard addon That was so much money and I didn t consider how much it really was until I started using it a lot Its not worth it y all 50 for an app that can t even correctly translate inputted braille to print It doesn t even use the iOS braille tables so you can t use UEB to make it work better to correctly identify 4 6 D as ound instead of d Waste of money And when I tried to get a refund Apple said I have to go through the app website and contact them about it They d better get back to me That was a lot of money for an app I thought would save me plenty of time but wound up taking much more time than even typing on the regular touch screen keyboard     The biggest wripoff I ve ever known devinprater

I was looking for a keyboard to practice braille on I heard lots of great feedback from friends So I gave it a shot While the program is easy to use the keyboard is not You are working on a six cell interface instead of using keys on a Perkins braille typewriter This app wasn t worth keeping Sad     Awful Midnightstar81

This app can now be used as a third party keyboard but it isn t quite as good as the ios one yet The three finger swipe gesture to get out of the keyboard isn t consistant exiting the keyboard is awkward meaning that the edit field vanishes and even though I paid for mbraille and gave it full access in settings I cannot use the delete whole word gesture What a random gesture to block out That being said if these problems are fixed the grade 2 input is way better than the ios keyboard A gesture to send messages should be added too to make using the exit keyboard app gesture less necessary Also in other apps like Twitter for example the standard virtual keyboard is impossible to find In short this is a great start and awesome that there is a braille keyboard for ios other than stock but this version is still buggy             Good Start bluecansam

I have attempted to use this app from time to time for a while on my iPad and have never found it to be a useable way of braille input The virtual braille keyboard is very difficult to use because of the fixed position of each dot forcing the users to adjust there fingers to a set position on the screen rather than providing the flexibility of having each user choose the relative position of each of the dots The new on screen braille input option in iOS 8 is a much better option in my opinion     Not worth the download much less the buy AnonymousBlindUser

MBraille is one of my favorite apps of 2013 One of my favorite features of MBraille is the ability to perform tasks with other apps right on the braille keyboard I recommend this app for anyone who wants an outstanding braille keyboard on their iOS device                     MBraille Tony Ure

This is a wonderful app and a great substitute for a Bluetooth keyboard particularly when in use with the iPhone I wish I found working with it on the iPad an easier experience but I m not sure how it could be made easier so I don t deduct many points for that Overall I think this app deserves more recognition than it has gotten in recent months I found it to be well worth the price                 Better iPad support BlindGeek

Mbraille is probably the most useful app on my iPhone With it I can text tweet email call and so much more all in grade 2 braille It is fast responsive and being actively upgraded Its integration with the Drafts app and other productivity apps makes it more useful still I can for instance type up notes on a client and issue one command and two gestures to add the notes to that client s text file ready for me in Dropbox when I get home In short I cannot recommend this app highly enough to anyone who is looking for braille entry on their iOS device                     An incredible app mehgcap

Best app ever for typing in braille on my iphone I almost never pull out my braille display However Mbraille is always with me and just a tap or two away I haven t got the pro version yet but Mbraille is fast becoming my most used app Mbraille handles contracted braille so much better than the built in Apple braille support Apple should hire the Mbraille developer to help them implement braille properly on the Ipho Excellent work Mbraill                     Awesome braille support ,happy ,mom

Liking this update Only thing is sometimes when a notification comes through you end up tapping accidentally on that banner when you type anything containing dots 3 or 6 and occasionally I ll try to type letters or signs like y p and and as MBraille doesn t always recognize all the fingers that are on the screen resulting in repeatedly correcting text All the same you still rock And STILL doing this review with MBraille                     BEST APP EVER m dub theme

I had been using another braille app I had given high marks even though it didn t have many features yet One of the immediately noticable differences was being able to use MBraille simultaneously with an audio source But given Contracted braille and some editing functionality MBraille is head and shoulders above my former app The dot commands for inserting text written in MBraille without having to go to menus are fabulous It s also convenient to be able to insert text in any app without having to do any copying or cutting from the app itself Automatically putting the text in the clipboard is a nice touch The editting gestures are ingenius but may take a while for even the most experienced braillist There are still some fine tuning issues like translation turning on and off without the user doing it However it is easily reversed by the user for now until a fix is made GIVEN how frequently this app has been updated thus far I expect that the results of tweeking minor fixes like this will not take long to be experienced by the user                     Revolutionary RKragnes

This app is a phenominal app for braille users With all the dot commands it has saved much time for me doing email texting using FB and adding to my calendar quickly As a person who has more difficulty dictating than writing my use of the iPhone has expanded because of this app even though I need to paste into some edit fields Thanks to the developer for caring so much for the blind community Great job             Mbraille Dogmana

If you ve ever tried to write anything more than a word or two with the on screen keyboard you know the limited speeds you can achieve no matter how good you are Then when you have something that lets you enter text not only in braille but in grade 2 and type as fast as you would with an external keyboard it s obvious that you can be incredibly more efficient while working with your iDevice I used to keep an external QWERTY keyboard with me most of the time to be ready to take notes quickly but I never use it anymore Beyond being able to paste text into any application MBraille s advantage is increased even more by being able to directly send texts emails open urls perform google searches post to facebook and twitter and more without switching applications and pasteing It is probably my most useful tool on my iPhone now and with its editing capabilities I even use it for more lengthy writing projects like this review without even thinking twice about whether I want to use my iPhone or wait til I get to my PC If you are good with braille I cannot recommend it highly enough                     Excellent tool for Braille users KJUChaos

This app is awesome if you are a braille user You can type in grade 1 most of grade 2 It is comfortable to use as well The only drawbacks are the price of the full version is 30 and that is too expensive But cheaper than a brailler by far Also you can t do contractions with dots 4 5 and another character such as the braille word for these which is made with dots 4 5 and the TH symbol Overall an awesome app just pricey a tad incomplete so only 4 stars                 It works very well 3K99Dad

I love the MBraille app because I can type very quickly with it on my iPhone and even in contracted braille This last part is very helpful to me I love to be able to type as quickly as possible Often when I type on the default keyboard on my iPhone that appears for text fields I can barely keep track of my thoughts as I progress through the sentence MBraille lets me type a whole lot faster If my laptop broke or ceased working for some time I can now say I ve found an app that would make typing a large quantity of text on my iPhone tolerable More than tolerable I actually already write many messages with MBraille that are much longer than messages I used to write with the default Apple on screen keyboard I still like full size qwerty keyboards the most but I highly recommend MBraille to any braille user with an iPhone especially if contracted braille is important to such a user There are pretty cool editing capabilities that no other app of mine deticated to typing contains other than note taking apps that just use the default on screen qwerty keyboard There are other apps for typing Braille but I definitely recommend MBraille the most personally as it has allowed me to only occasionally attach my Apple Bluetooth keyboard to my iPhone I think MBraille is worth the price if you are a competant braille user who appreciates typing on braille keyboards                     My favorite typing app Benjamin Vercellone

MBraille is a fantastic app After sending tweets directly from within the app I decided to take the plunge and purchase the full app Boy am I glad I did The ability to type in contracted braille as well as sending sms email facebook posts google searches and even editing text directly from the app is absolutely awesome BrailleTouch used to be my go to app to type in braille but MBraille has now taken its place If you have the dollars29 99 to spend you would not go wrong with a purchase of MBraille As a side note this review was typed with MBraille                     Fantastic James Chambers 2014

This app is functional and a definite improvement on the normal IPhone typing interface It allows for the use of Braille contractions greatly speeding up input time The only Downside is that the clipboard is very difficult to clear so that could use Improvement                     N Braille Brl Enthusiast
