While I loved this app years ago opening it on my iPad Air reminds me that it is seriously out of date The graphics are not good enough they appear over sharpened and shimmer when the fish move I would love to see some features ANY features added variable fish size a modicum of interactivity different backgrounds feeding etc etc I appears that this is now an orphaned app Sad really         Update sorely needed FMedDoc

This has been the screensaver on all of my Macs since it was released I d rate the Mac version 5 stars As for iPhone version 2 6 2 I don t mind that this is a stripped down player nearly as much as I am disappointed that it doesn t support full screen on an iPhone 5 or later It would be great to see a refresh that fixes this Until then three stars             Disappointed it has not been updated for iPhone 5 scottjennings

I bought the original screensaver version of this app for my iMac years ago and it s still the most realistic looking aquarium app I ve ever seen I love it and am glad I found the iPad version I don t mind the lack of interactivity or the fact that the objects in the tank aren t customizable it s relaxing to me just watch the fish swim around and the aquarium the developers have designed is very colorful and realistic What I would like to see are two things 1 When the more than one of a single species of fish is selected it would be nice of each fish of a single species varied slightly in size Though I don t know how the graphics engine for this app works I would think this could be done by randomly scaling each fish model up or down within about a 10 range 2 I would love to see more Atlantic Caribbean fish especially some of those native to the Florida Keys How about a Sergeant Major Rainbow Parrotfish Queen Triggerfish or Bluehead Wrasse just to name a few                 Only a couple of things I would add bhirschi

Coming from a fish lover this app is great The most realistic features I ve seen in any other app I ve been looking for a while This is also great for kids I turn it on in my son s 4 years old room at bed time on my iPad he goes straight to sleep The bubbles and the movement of the fish relaxes him and turns bedtime into a fun time He likes to point out the fish he likes and then he lays down and watches them until he falls asleep I can t say enough about this app I love it Well done                     Great app worth the 2 Ehanks32

This is just about everything I would want out of a virtual fish tank realistic fish with great lighting Truly beautiful and having had a real fish tank before this has just about all the benefits without the work I would suggest one feature enhancement the sleep feature Right now you can select whether the iOS device goes to sleep when the app is running or not depending on whether it s plugged in or not I think it would be nice to have a sleep timer on it It is nice to drift off to sleep with the glow of the fish tank and watching them swim is peaceful and conducive to falling asleep but I don t want it on all night Even being able to select 15 30 45 or 60 minute increments for it to run would be very useful Other than that great app oh and I agree with another poster that the bubble sound isn t very soothing                 Great app but Brent.Marsh

Aquarian Filters and oxygen bubblers make different sounds It s controlled by the bubble size the air pressure and water condition I like higher frequency and faster bubble rates Folks that subjective I agree though more backgrounds would be nice More fish which also ties into being able to pick the fish you want but this is only a 1 99 app and for my money the quality of the images and the best looking fish I ve seen we definitely got our monies worth IMHO                 Best looking Aquarians app I ve seen Eriptron

Marine Aquarium 2 6 is a port of the Mac PC version created years ago I used to own them and presently own version 3 0 for my iMac so I am familiar with the quality of work by this company In my opinion this app is on par with their work on computer platforms considering the limitations of iPod Touch iPhone First off the graphics using Retina 4 display is pretty good The fish and the background objects in the tank standout very nice If you are looking for an aquarium game that involves feeding and growing fish this is not for you If you are looking for a relaxing aquarium app with nice sound and good graphics this is a good choice The app could have some nice enhancements that would give it 5 stars in my opinion and I ask the authors to consider these First allowing some background music might be a plus Second having more control over fish selection would be nice as well Third and most important having features that allow auto zoom and auto panning would really benefit this app I use it at work when I am writing my notes and I find it a pain to manually move the focus around in the tank Otherwise this is a good app and I look forward to any improvements hopefully A port of version 3 2 would be worth the money for me Thanks                 A very nice app needing only minor adjustments Daneman

Like others here I had owned the Mac version years ago and bought this for old times sake Well it s still pretty but the ability to customize is sadly lacking All you have to do is look at Koi Pond HD to see how it should be done Same price infinitely more customizable in every way             Needs more options Andy Baird

agtripleog You CAN select species of fish You have to touch the I button to bring up the menu and then you rate the fish from 1 5 stars If you rate it 0 they don t show up at all If you rate a fish with 5 stars they show up frequently This app is great however its not a game so people should realize that Probably my fav iPad app It s just like the PC counterpart The animations are excellent and very soothing to watch I wish they d release the goldfish freshwater version too                     Awesome sim iFon Reviewr
