MacID for iOS

Works every single time and super convenient                 Slick app great design

I use a Macbook Pro 15 2015 with Force Touch and an iPhone 6 So that means both are the latest in Hardware and firmware In many occasions Im using my Mac with the phone in my pocket and MacID suddenly locks my computer without reason The proximity sensor is also totally unreliable since I come close to my Mac an MacID just wont unlock it I have configured it all in both Mac and iPhone and still doesnt work as promised Total crap     Doesnt work as advertised

I am currently using MacID on my Late 2013 iMac in conjunction with my 6 and Apple Watch At first it is a little confusing as to when you can use the Watch to unlock or for the computer to show up as a connected device but after a few days use its great Its really awesome to not have to worry about a password and your machine to be unlocked and ready to use before you even sit down I would definitely recommend this app to others                 Love It

This is the best app that I have ever spent money on Well worth the price Being able to send clipboard between devices is awesome TouchID not required when unlocked is also fantastic Overall My one suggestion would be for the proximity feature to defer autounlocking OSX unless I exit the proximity zone before reentering For example I get up and walk away from my desk but not far enough to engage autolock I tap to lock because my conversation with my coworker is taking longer than expected However MacID automatically reunlocks my laptop a few seconds later because I never left the proximity zone In such a scenario I think manually tapping to lock could disable the autounlock until after I have exited the proximity zone at least once                 Best app ever Period

When lock and unlock one account on Mac it works as expected but I set 2 accounts on Mac this app does nothing if Mac was unlocked from the other account           Does not work when multiple accounts on one Mac

Ive tried many proximity security apps but none have worked anywhere near as well as MacID Awesome                 Is the best

For unclear reasons it takes 20 seconds for the Mac app to wake up and recognize my phone after sleeping the Mac Ive reinstalled everything with no success There is no support for this app so if it works for you thats great but you may get stuck with a 20 second wait time to use the app during which entering a password is much faster        Stopped working well zero support from developer

MacID works seamlessly for me You dont even need to open the app from the lock screen slide the notification to the left tap Authorize put finger in Touch ID and boom Also sending clipboard text from and to the device So good                 Seamless and powerful

Installed Paired And now Im lockingunlocking to my hearts content Nice work                 It just works

I have an iPhone 6 64 gold and a macbook pro late 2014 I believe Why doesnt this work after weeks of trying No device ever shows up this bs costed money it should work a few tweet backs didnt solve the solution probably should give me my money back     Just doest work

Much better than KeyLock and Tether while having a much more refined layout                 Best

This app used to be amazing I had no issues and it was so convenient As of the last update it has broke for me Wont pair with my late 2013 MBP MacIDs tech attempted to resolve the issue and kindly walked me step by step through several troubleshooting solutions but nothing worked Hopefully they can resolve it but as of right now it is broken and worth nothing to me OS X Yosemite 10105 Mac ID for OS X v124 iOS 841 Mac ID for iOS v121     Stopped working

The Mac version of this app wont work at all with the late 2013 Mac Pro It wont recognize the iPhone so that you can set it up The Mac version did pair just fine when used on my MacBook Pro w Retina Display The problem is that the app on the iPhone only comes up sometimes when I need it other times it wont come up at all and I have to manually open the app Its actually faster to just type my Mac password than to bother using this app Too bad because its a neat idea When it works it works great        Works okay sometimes

Seems that since Mac OS X 10104 Mac stops being able to find my iPhone after working briefly        Used to work great but no longer

The recent update seemed to have broken the app I used it on my Watch and it worked fine before the update it would ask me to unlock my Mac when I get close Unfortunately the update broke the app and I have to launch the app manually on my Watch and then play around with it until it decides to unlock the Mac Sometimes it doesnt Frustration baby Why the update Please revert back to the previous version        Watch It worked before the update

This App is useful fun and totally unnecessary I use it all the time and I love it                 Fun and useful

I just went from a 5 star to a 1 star it is broken in OS X El Capitan 1011 My previous 5 star review This app is a must have for anyone with an iPhone and Mac And if you have more macs I have 4 and an Apple Watch it is just life changing Works as advertised and I could not be happier to have found it Highly recommended     Amazing app

It is really working well I just love that it supports multiple machines Only wish if this is possible is that it would only respond to login authorization requests                 Great App

I am rating this app 5 stars because I love using it and love the functionality However the UI color is just so overpowering It makes me want to exit the app as quickly as possible UPDATE I just read another review where it said they let you tame down the color It looks like they have added an option to use grayscale instead of the standard colors While this is a great improvement it is a bit boring I wish they would work on some other options                 Love the app hate the color

I have a 6S Plus and a Mid 2013 MacBook Air both running latest OS This app worked for about a day but no longer sees the laptop even if the phone and app are right next to each other with Bluetooth and wifi on The iOS UI also cuts off half the title bar When it did work the Require Touch ID when unlocked feature was buggy Overall useless Definitely regret the purchase Dont waste your money     Doesnt work

The concept is awesome Great idea if it would just WORK It constantly disconnects When it works its awesome great to be able to unlock Mac from Watch But please UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE I would even pay for an update Just fix it        Needs work

After a small speed bump keeping my BT connection active this has been working flawlessly I love the options it provides given I have a very long complex passphrase for my Mac The dBm level my computer displays for my iPhone forecloses using the autolock feature but frankly I dont miss it Locking the system is a breeze with the custom tap pattern Ive set up This is one app which will not disappoint                 Fantastic in concept and execution

I originally bought MacId because my original unlocker Knock only supported one Mac I used it at work and I wanted something to support my personal Mac too Both gained features authorization dialog support Apple Watch Knock added TouchId which MacId supported from the get go MacId had its own signal of intent a tap pattern on the touchpad But only MacId supports proximity locking and multiple Macs So today MacId won top billing in my setup That and the dev has a really cool name                 MacID has become my goto auth tool for all my Macs

Every little click saved is one less frustration in my life                 Love it

It does exactly what it says simply and easily It works well unlocking multiple machines as long as theyre newer Macs with Bluetooth LE and handy on iPhone or Watch              Fantastic

Update Fixes are in amazing developer Shocking that larger corporations arent as responsive I was pretty harsh on my latest review but if you follow the developer on twitter youll realize that hes actually pretty cool and responsive to users Id love to give the app 5 stars but it needs work for those of us that are going back and forth to our machines constantly My original review It always lags a good amount of time between waking up my machine and the app notifying me to unlock my machine The proximity wake absolutely does NOT work and is completely unreliable I walk away and half way across the room I could see it still hasnt locked Or viceversa I approach my machine thats NOT in sleep mode and it doesnt auto unlock The worst bit is when it locks me while Im still right next to the computer I cant sit for an hour straight without it locking my machine every 10 minutes Cant be productive at all like that Id of given it more stars if at least itd respond quickly enough Theres a good 30 second delay between a prompt for my password and my watchphone actually recognizing it                 Updates are nonstop

This works exactly as advertised Initially I looked into Knock but its reviews were so poor I chose to try this instead of paying 499 for something with bad reviews and Im HAPPY I did Try it out its great                 WOW Works great

This app came to my attention when I followed a tech news article and checked out Fingerkey and found MacID to have a much more favorable set of user reviews Installation of MacID was simple enough and its setup procedure suggests I need a companion app for OS X However it wasnt really clear where to get the OS X app I resorted to Google and found the web download Cant even remember where now because I had a temporary problem with my iTune purchase charge until I decided to update my charge card expiration date shut down and powered up my iPhone again Thats not a problem with this app but maybe a more obvious link to download the OS X app would help especially when youre flustered Anyway I like the app so far Apparently updates has solved from the issues from the critical reviews Kudos to the developer                 Easy to set up Excellent app

its obvious theres an issue with this app due to bugs with Apple upstream why would you release this product if it just pisses off your customer base all three of my Macs have the same issue inconsistent connections deleting and going to request a refund     Blame Apple blame Apple blame Apple

Dont by this if you are using a MacBook Pro Retina 15 It will work maybe 10 of the time Really nice author nice design with very compelling features but the app does not work on MacBook Pro Retina and is not as reliable as it should be on the Mac Mini Reliability is the inability for the Mac app to type the password The thumb print notification comes up you thumb authenticate nothing happens on the Mac or sometimes it types one character to the password field Very frustrating Friendly author but is of no help unfortunately Several revisions have passed and none work On the other hand TokenLock works amazingly well to lock and unlock your Mac What TokenLock does not do and really neither does MacID is authenticate to the admin password requests     Unreliable

Seems to work as specified with one computer but it will not pair with my 2nd Mac Mini with BT LE not sure why I followed all of the help suggestions but still only one Mac will connect not sure where to go next        MACID with two Macs

This is geniusI cant believe Apple hasnt bought these guys out yet One nice addition would be integration with 1Password so that one could authenticate and fill passwords on Mac or iOS using the Apple Watch or TouchID                 Awesome
