Sharpen your sense of time liveBPM is the new tempo reference for drummers, bands and DJs. It detects music and beats via the microphone and continuously displays the current tempo in beats per minute (BPM). ...
Ok for one thing I am almost certain that the readings were way way way way way off Two it was so slow that it was always changing and I couldn t hardly read it Plse fix     Didn t work 308 Ruger
I am a old school DJ who still spins vinyl I use this to know the actual BPM of what I am playing on the fly No more tapping out the beat just put my phone in front of a speaker                     Works great Tristanex
Use it on the daily From radio DJ sets to live bands When you want to know the BPM the of a song just fire it up and goes to work Kind of like Shazam for BPM s Works great and you don t have to tap Thank you for this app                     Best BPM Counter app Rogering
I m a performing drummer and use this app to help keep an eye on the bands tempo It really is unique in listening to the tempos and displaying them I would recommend it There are few things that could use updating But overall it is a winner                 Love using this app Chaznewc
I fiddle for folk dancing where we need to keep a steady tempo plus or minus a couple percent This app is very handy as a speedometer I keep it running on my iPhone on my music stand when playing Have recommended it to a bunch of fellow musicians Thanks for the update I was afraid I was going to lose this when upgrading to iOS11                     Great application Fiddler Steve
I use it all the time Setting the range is a great feature Wish I could tap as an option                     Wonderful for dancers BrzyCat
I ve been using Live BPM for over a year now and can t live without it Do yourself a favor and download it now                     Can t live without it Jbivi
Daniel thanks for the update With the last updates from Apple I thought it might have killed your app This is such a handy app It s like having a speed radar gun for your band Much handier than a click track as you get a feel for the speed of the whole band I just attach my phone to my kit with a simple mount and I always know where we are on timing I m surprised this app isn t used by every band Look forward to 2 0                 Thanks for Update LeonardPDX
and in a clutch too thank you thank you Thank you                     Right out the gate WOW "Egg"
The app does what it claims to do for some music If a tune has a consistent down beat it keeps track pretty well But it cannot keep up with anything that has a lot of off beats it gets confused very easily If you plan to use this with rock jazz etc it will probably work very well for you but if you are doing something more advanced don t expect much             Not too happy Dudeydude77
This app seems nice in principle but it can t count very high It s counting every Coltrane tune I put on in halftime 160 vs the actual quarter note speed of 320 etc If the developers are going to charge four dollars for this you d think they might have listened to a jazz album once or twice If you play jazz save your money         Not for real musicians WhyCan'tYouCount
The others I ve tried were grossly inaccurate or required tapping                     Best in App Store statik73
I took to this app the first time I ever used it I have it installed on an old 3GS for back up Sometimes I put the extra the 3Gs on the floor close to the bass player so he can have his own reference I use it on my iPad for non singing gigs and on my iPhone for all the rest A must have for any serious drummer or bass player wanting to rein in an errant drummer It works on the floor sitting on my bass drum or mounted on a stand                     Easiest way to stay steady while maintaining a human feel WhyNoMidi?
This is the sorriest piece of jock I m trying to say joke J you and KS only way you can get this thing to work it s a bad as big a piece of crap is this thing you sold me I hope to hell no one spends their money on this junk because it does not give you any any instructions I can yo fart and get 140 beats try it sometime hit for beach in front of your speaker and you ll get 104 beats     What a lousy piece of junk Clay Marshall no nicknames in
I ve been looking for a good BPM detection app for years how has this gem been out since 2012 and never shown up on my App Store searches I m a DJ with a large vinyl collection and a lot of my records are not labeled with BPM due to how tedious a process it is this app is exactly what I need While some may take issue that it is not 100 accurate down to the 100th it is more than enough for my purposes and by a wide margin the best app I ve found to do the job More than worth the price I see it hasn t been updated since 2013 I hope the developer didn t abandon it and will eventually add more optimization and features                     Wow Exactly what I ve been looking for Goldcoinz
Great learning tool Only suggestion have an option to play along to roadmaps of charts could be open source so it could tell you where your time was inconsistent i e rushed at bridge hits etc                     Excellent app Jpayne11715
Crap I hope to get my money back     Crap JMFiveHead
Very satisfied as the computations are accurate First tests were with music having strong down up beat which matched lyrics This was the easy test and expected to be right Next was James Brown with a slow lyric tempo but faster percussion Slider adjustment had to be used but after this adjustment Try Me registered dead on I m a Westie Swing dancer and favor songs with slow tempo lyrics with odd percussion that might trick the ear Happy to come upon this tool                     Bring on the GodFather scheperw
I keep this mounted to stay on tempo during gigs and the band leader will check it out and call out a tempo change if he feels it It works great and the one thing that would make it perfect is being able to set a starting tempo                 Great performance tool sdadell
I tried a bunch of bpm detector apps because I am trying to match beats between electro and rap records None of them worked properly except this one It works like a champ quick clear and accurate Worth the money for sure                     This is the real deal for DJ beat matching Shoel212
I do a lot of remixes and need to detect the BPM of the songs I get I used to tap tap tap along using some other apps but this one you just let it listen and it gives you the BPM It works really well too I ve had it detect BPM through Apple Earbuds and off television Good job                     Works Perfectly Plastic Bubble
I m trying to locate songs in my library recorded with a click to play along with This app rocks Just turn it on for a few seconds plug the detected BPM in my metronome to test against the suspect tune and presto I have the verdict Much less time consuming than endless metronome tapping and second guessing rush drag tempo discrepancies Only deficiency is failure to detect 3 4 or 6 8 time correctly LiveBPM does try but winds up floating 4 beat rhthym over the 3 4 which results in some interesting Huapangoesque cross rhthyms but useless as a BPM measurement Add that feature and an onboard metronome to next update please                 Like it cumbiahunter
This is a good app to have if you need to know the approximate BPM I sequence music and work with Music Software Drum Machines But this app is not spot on but close Enough to get the BPM Very helpful when listening to mp3 etc To get a Quick BPM count idea Instead of having to count with a pocket watch or a tapping finger app Buy it Still a Great Tool To Have Works with the iPods built in microphone great little feature                 Close But Not Perfect Krap!!!
I love it The guitar player says man we are rushing x on the drums you And I show him the last song he complained about thru the live bpm graph and everything gets really quiet                     Awesome Anomymys
Thank you                     I like it iayhs
I was nervous spending this much money on an app but glad I did Put this in front of my drummer and he LOVED it and I loved him pushing us to the correct tempo all night This will get used every gig from now on                     Wow Hawstel Awstel
I cannot believe how good this works I had looked at the clip on hardware speed meters but just never wanted to spend the bucks for those I play in a few different bands an oribinal and two covers This solution is exactly what I needed I m shocked at how well it works I can set my phone on a chair nearby my set or on a spare drum Awesome                     Holy Cow KMac66
If you are a drummer this is a no brainer I was skeptical at first but after testing on a tune in 7 4 I was playing with a group I was sold Pro drummer covering multiple genres and this app is my best friend Great practice tool excellent gigging tool this lets the pocket breathe to your personal feel Sure a metronome is a great static representation of the time but this to me personally is a greater tool letting you know how much your time alters throughout a tune Very accurate My only request a crazy one to let the app drive a metronome through something like audiobus at a user chosen interval metronome bpm adjusts over a set time or number of bars to allow the click to be fed to others                     An Absolute must have Beatpsychic
Nice enough on the ipad but VERY disappointed it did not load to my iphone especially for 3 99     Nice GreatBerm
Almost too accurate I thought I was all over the place then I used this while listening to the radio All non drum machine music have tiny deviations in tempo I wish it also had a metronome with goals for gigging That would make this app A Still rad                 Accurate Jesse Merz
It s not perfect but it really does the job I use a mount on my hihat stand to hold the phone on gigs There is a 3 or 4 second lag so the trick is not to chase the reading With the running graph and the bpm display its easy to see if songs are tending to speed up or slow down before things get out of control As mentioned it sometimes drops the time signature and will display double or half time but it recovers quickly I love this thing What astounds me is that it actually pretty much works One bug is that if I get a text it stops working It would be great if there was a count in metronome Currently its s my favorite music app                     Amazing Jukesce
I loved this but not since change to io7 It no longer works at all A bandmate bought with io7 and his doesn t work either Or only at much higher db than before But not with the graph function Anyone else     Io7 no longer works BustaLeg
It would be great if there would be an option to scroll back in the tempo line say you would record a half hour performance to see how the tempo steadiness was                 Love this app here s a few improvements that I d love to see robertspierre
First off this app is totally worth the money and I recommend it to any serious rhythm player I have already been promoting it a lot I am a professional drummer and I have been looking for something like this for years Unless your playing with backing tracks or recording Playing with a Click is too Mechanical This app allows the tempo to breathe and its like a little angel on your shoulder telling you the band is speeding up or slowing down It is totally worth the money but I have two requests 1 MUST HAVE Include integrated metronome with capability to store tempos for a set list like the Tempo app this way I could click on a song and see the tempo to start out with It would be great if you could choose how many measures for that to go for just to help start at the right tempo then the app could go into BPM detection mode That s the only problem with this app is that it does not help me know exactly what tempo to start a song and during a show I do not have time to experiment with different taps to find the right tempo 2 NICE TO HAVE Ability to save the graph for different performances If you could integrate number 1 above this would be the best tempo tool app on the market and I would easily pay at least twice as much maybe even four times the current value Please add number 1 above Great app thanks CV                 This app is great PocketDrummer82
Keeps things from getting out of control Of course what is control Dan great work I wish you would create a looper                     Alien Seven were on The Face Book Retired Army Chaplain
I usually don t rate apps I wanted to rate this one because I was so impressed I m using it on an iPhone 5 with the latest OS It s not optimized for the taller screen but that doesn t affect functionality I used this at my last band practice and wasn t expecting it work I couldn t believe how quickly and accurately it started tracking the bpm even despite the very loud volume of our music One thing I noticed is that it sometimes loses the time signature For example it might be reading at 120bpm but then a change in drum pattern will cause it to read at half or double tempo This happens very rarely and doesn t affect the usefulness of the app The only change I d like to see in future updates other than being optimized for iPhone 5 screen is the ability to tap something to indicate where a song starts and stops Sort of like a lap timer on a stopwatch That way I could go back and look at the tempo graph for various songs All in all it s a great app                     Works very well JonLong
I use this app every time my band and I get together and practice Its a great way to accurately determine exactly what speed we like playing a song at Whenever some says That felt a little fast I can just show them the graph              Fantastic for Drummers
I am a professional drummer and I am in love with this app I have used it with numerous styles and various rhythms and it works perfectly I have also checked it with my metronome to ensure accuracy and its dead on It even is able to figure out 22 as opposed to 44 I dont know how but Im impressed                 Fantastic
Nice enough on the ipad but VERY disappointed it did not load to my iphone especially for 399     Nice
Almost too accurate I thought I was all over the place then I used this while listening to the radio All nondrum machine music have tiny deviations in tempo I wish it also had a metronome with goals for gigging That would make this app A Still rad              Accurate

I heard a lot about the accuracy of this app Was exited to do a trail run Paid my money Then nothing but a blank screen Ive got a IPod touch running iOs 505 And would really like to have this app     Blank Screen
I loved this but not since change to io7 It no longer works at all A bandmate bought with io7 and his doesnt work either Or only at much higher db than before But not with the graph function Anyone else     Io7 no longer works
This is a good app to have if you need to know the approximate BPM I sequence music and work with Music Software Drum Machines But this app is not spot on but close Enough to get the BPM Very helpful when listening to mp3 etc To get a Quick BPM count idea Instead of having to count with a pocket watch or a tapping finger app Buy it Still a Great Tool To Have Works with the iPods built in microphone great little feature              Close But Not Perfect
Brought it to last nights gig on an iPod Touch I play bass Set it up where the drummer and I could both see it Way more useful than a metronome in this application because its not forcing anything It just tells you which way youre drifting                 It actually works
I tried a bunch of bpm detector apps because I am trying to match beats between electro and rap records None of them worked properly except this one It works like a champ quick clear and accurate Worth the money for sure                 This is the real deal for DJ beat matching
Thanks to Daniel for creating this This app is a great tool for performances rehearsal and practice sessions I am certain that working with this app will surely improve ones time and confidence I highly recommend this app and I cant wait to see where Daniel takes this A must have for any rhythm section player                 Great Breakthrough
