Lightroom Magazine

Maybe theres great content there but I fear the sun will experience heat death before an issue fully downloads     It Is So Slow

This is typical Kelby Media A great magazine loaded with great easy to digest information Some of the reviews complain that this doesnt load I think they didnt wait long enough Its a big download and takes a while but it does get to you and it is well worth it                 A beautiful work

This app successfully charges you for additional issues but after weeks of trying it still wont download the issues     Lightroom

Unfortunately I have to agree with all the other reviewers Sample app might download at some point but I am not waiting around any longer to find out Looks like a great magazine if only one could lay eyes on it     It really is awful

The app works and only takes just a few minutes to download each issue The magazine is a great read with lots of tips from the Kelby group If you use Lightroom this is a great addition to your library                 A must read

I agree with numerous other reviewers that the app is too slow especially on the download But Ill assume that this will get fixed at some point I think the magazine is well laid out and useful but the price is just too high at 495 issue Id probably subscribe at 20 year for a monthly publication would even consider it at 30 But no way will I buy it every month at 5 month        Too expensive

To developer ARE YOU SERIOUS IT doesnt work at all Like everybody unable to download even a single issue Those who says it works fine are fake reporters of course Developers only want our money fast Go back to work instead     Just forget this non working App

One star nothing more Long time NAPP member Kelby media subscriber Kelby product has never disappointed as much as this piece of junk which will never load an issue I have a 50mbs Internet and this thing freezes on download immediately My iPad is clean and running latest version of iOS and I have over 40gb of storage available What gives guys Give me a usable product and I will buy it gladly     How do you rate something that doesnt work

Immediately after loading LightRoom app I was unable to download the 1st issue 30 November 2012 The download indicator gauge stalls perhaps a server problem I tried pressing X to stop download again pressing the DOWNLOAD button and nothing Ditto on 3 19 February 2013 Yes I was able to access other Internet pages fine and dandy after all I just downloaded the LightRoom app and even doublechecked accessing the internet with other apps Eventually I powered down my iPad 4 and upon rebooting I was able to download issues Interestingly before the reboot I thought maybe I needed to download the latest IOS 613 but received an error message cannot connect to the internet Huh I can connect to the Internet fine So it appears that after downloading the LightRoom app it messes up the communication API associated with downloads that is until the user REBOOTS So after the reboot I was also able to download the latest IOS software Hopefully Kelby Group will have their contract programmer address this thorny issue I called Kelby customer service phone support who promises to pass this information along to their staff           Like Windows sometimes you gotta REBOOT

This app works great on my iPad The magazine delivers a lot of great information and is very useful Overall an excellent effort I cant wait until the next issue                 Love This

The app works fine Ive never once had an issue downloading an issue Im knocking star off as while magazine is decent not great but decent I think 499 an issue for a download only magazine is too expensive for what you get              Overpriced but Decent Magazine

I recently upgraded to Lightroom 5 and decided to use the application more actively than before and this digital magazine appealed to me as continuing resource The downloadinstallation completed within 35 minutes The sample issue Nov13 took longer to download but certainly within the range of other digital magazines I have eg New Yorker etc I have a very fast network at home so perhaps some of problems noted in other reviews related to slower networks On the other hand maybe there was indeed a problem with the app etc and its been fixed              No problems downloadinginstalling

After reading so many negative reviews interspersed with users who had no problems with the app I was intrigued and couldnt resist trying to download and purchase The app downloaded and installed VERY quickly as did the inapp purchase I suspect the following culprits for those with problems old iPad software versions andor slow or unreliable Internet connections Ive had nasty problems with some mainstream publications in the past and I understand the frustration believe me Those demons just dont apply to Lightroom Magazine                 It works just fine folks

The sample issue fails to download reporting a zip error 1337 almost immediately after starting the download Running on an iPad2 with iOS 703 I am generally a big fan of Kelby Media I subscribe to their training service using the iPad with no problems This exercise however is a disaster I tried it when originally launched and gave up trying to download the sample issue way too slow stalledtimedout download attempts etc I thought surely by now they would have fixed the problems but today it seems worse than ever So sad too as an avid LR user I was really looking forward to this ezine     ZIP error 1337 wont download

This app while a good idea is not ready for prime time Downloading the free issue November 2012 issue seems to be working but so far has taken nearly 30 minutes to download about 14 of the file I have a fast connection that is working well with everything else Needs to be fixed        App inadequate

Some people never learn Scott Kelby appears to be one of the or else he doesnt really care Light It Magazine was a disaster on the iPad and Lightroom magazine continues in the fine tradition A piece of junk that continuously fails to download even one issue Kelby and the APP need to fire the firm who develops their apps and get someone serious preferably in house to take their usually terrific content and make it accessible     When will Kelby learn

Its a shame others have had a poor technical experience with this app because the information and tips contained within are a great help for anyone interested in mastering Lightroom For the record Im on a 3rd Gen iPad with iOS 613 and I had no trouble downloading the app itself Once the app was installed the first attempt at downloading the complimentary first issue failed so I tried again and it worked fine It took about 15 minutes to download that first issue much too long but at least it didnt stall out again and I went on to buy the second issue which took only about 5 minutes to download The app hasnt crashed yet but I havent looked at every page of the two issues Ive downloaded so take that with a grain of salt Beyond the technical aspects of downloading and using the app Ive found each issue to have the typical professionalism and wealth of information one would expect from NAPPKelby Training I would call myself a Lightroom veteran and Ive still gleaned plenty of little tips to make my experience with Lightroom even better Im sure this magazine will continue getting better and I hope they can address the technical issues so that other users can benefit              Helpful content for beginning and intermediate photographers

Normally good material form these guys but this simply does not work on iPad Froze once then timed out twice There are other sources to get good Lightroom ideas     Too slow

App downloaded without difficulty issues not so much iPad 2 with latest OS     Great Conceptif it worked

The magazine will not download It just keeps timing out Their other magazine Light It will not download either It times out too I have a lot of respect for Kelby Media Group and their educational material is great but they obviously know nothing about making apps Maybe they could hire someone to fix their apps for them I have 4 of their magazines that I paid for and cant download I want my money back actually they can keep my money if they can just get the app working     Cant download magazine

Im really glad I gave this app a try in spite of downloading problems mentioned in other reviews Thankfully I had no problems downloading the app or free premier edition Then came a pleasant surprise Wow the magazine is beautiful The gorgeous pictures scale well and stay crisp and clear The text stays sharp even when enlarged Navigation is smooth a real joy once I figured out how best to use it the best of all the magazines Ive used on the iPad Besides all that I found the articles to be interesting informative and well written I was so impressed with the free edition Ive already purchased the March issue and am not dissappointed                 Elegant and Worked Great

Im a big fan of Kelby Training and NAPP and have been a member of each for many years I downloaded the free inaugural issue It took about 50 minutes to downloadnot good However once downloaded I was really enjoying it I found an article that I bookmarked last night because it was relevant to a job I had today I just opened the app to go to that article as Im getting ready to process the images from today and the magazine is gone A new issue came out today and I think that has something to do with this bug I can download that free issue again but I know it will take 4550 minutesagain It makes me wonder if this would happen to all the magazines in the library had I purchased several issuesand how much time frustration there would be in downloading each purchased issue again at 50 minutes each Im sure its more profitable to sell through their own app but I receive their Photoshop User magazine through Zinio and have never had a problem The magazine downloads very quickly into Zinio I would love to subscribe to this Lightroom magazine but Im extremely leery now     WowBad app

Just downloaded this app and a couple back issues of interest Certainly some great content that is educational and informative But the app is sorely lacking and could use a serious update It is not integrated with the Apple newsstand and the issue download times are significant You have to leave the app open while downloading or it will time out So plan your coffee breaks accordingly Worth downloading to get some new info on LR but dont look for much new content There is little on LR 5 and as of this post there has been nothing new written in nearly 7 months the most recent issue is January 2014 So while it appears the author has lost interest there is still good info on LR techniques to be gotten here for 5 a whack           Good content but the app looks like its been abandoned by the author

I was convinced that all the one star reviews Ive read had to be wrongafter all with such a gorgeous interface surely everything would be working fineafter all the reviews I read were months oldbut nope these smart creative and I was sure dependable people have not bothered to listen to their reviewsthe app just sits there looking prettysort of like a a long dead carapacepretty to look at but totally DEAD Come on Scott Kyour reputation has always been sterlingwhy allow this unworkable piece of junk to tarnish it     Get with the program

I was so excited to start reading these issues I bought all issues at once and cant download a single one You would think that with all of these bad reviews they would have addressed the problems by now I am sorry I didnt read the reviews first just assumed anything with Kelby media would be fine I hope they fix it soon     Disappointed to say the least

Cant download the free issue Home icon takes you to some other Kelby mag called Light It Wont let me login to my iTunes account tells me it doesnt exist even though I just downloaded the app through the same account Why would I pay if I have this many problems with the trial Kelby needs to proof their code in all versions of the iPad prior to release Disappointing for sure     Houston We Have Problems

Dont waste your money Issues WILL NOT download and support for this app is no better I reported the issue and was told my bandwidth is too low I told them I can download any other files to my iPad with any other app At that my customer service person gave up He just told me to get a refund Dont go out of your way to help or anything Kelby Training is primo in any other venue On their iPad app they mailed it in Dont bother     Terrible

Updating to 4 stars after my initial rating of 1star This finally loaded after opening iTunes on my Mac seeing it update the Magazine app and then trying another download request on the iPad Yup that worked and relatively quickly maybe 2 mins The Magazine is BEAUTIFUL and incredibly well written with How To articles Love it              Wow

Most of the negative reviews regard the inability to download the Ezine If I had difficulty especially after I paid money Id be upset also and give a poor rating That being said my issueS have downloaded fine and the content in the Ezine is great Anyone using Lightroom would greatly benefit from the info in the Ezine unless perhaps youre a LR guru yourself Theres never an issue that I dont get something from                 Great Ezine
