As a professional programmer I thought the way they handled programming was inventive and appropriate for the app Its been fun coaching my children I hope more levels come or even better a way to make our own levels                 Inventive take on programming constructs

Very fun to walk through I just learned some prog lang during eng schoolcmatlabvhdl and wanted to practice progr logic Lightbot is fun to use and at the last stage very challenging Needs a walk through somewhere to help but I guess that wouldnt teach anything Only real complaint is once I beat the last few stages left whats left to do thats as fun as before I dont want it to end              Fun but challenging

This is a great game but it keeps on crashing the game when I try to do a level Please make an update where it doesnt crash on 4th Generation IPod touches Thank You                 Good Game

This program is very impressive for intuitively introducing kids to the ideas of subroutines loops ifthen statements No oppressive learning or reading required to get out the gate You get to easily compile your program to see the effect and where the bugs are The only thing comparable that allows your kids to stealth learn difficult concepts is Dragon Box for algebra The recommended age range is appropriate There are two areas I would like to see a change The first is that there could be more levels to reinforce the concepts The levels are quite challenging and require a lot of planning and trial and errorwhich is good Some kids can make the connections quickly while others will need repetition of the exact same concept with more light boards to master it Or maybe by hitting on button the blue squares move to new locations upping the degree of difficulty The second area would be to add some kind of visible achievement Maybe badges or options to create a cool customizable robot picture as you gain your stars or points see dragon box or dragon box 2 If you could use your customized robot in the game it would be great but it may be too much to ask Thankyou              Awesome but could be even better

Its beautiful and clean More polished than the flash version Its a load of fun It doesnt feel like an educational game to me More of a fun puzzler Hope youre planning to make some more levels                 I love this game

I was curious how programming concepts would be made kid friendly and kid accessible I am astounded they did such a good job My 8 year old is picking it up amazingly quickly and is eager to do more the mark of a good game which is quietly teaching I am SO grateful for this enrichment for my son                 Fantastic

I suppose one could learn some basic programming concepts from Lightbot sequential execution of instructions conditional branching procedure calls But you wont learn anything about the larger programming concepts of objects or inheritance Nevertheless I give it 5 stars because theyre simply great puzzles It took me a couple weeks to work through all the challenge levels and it was a lot of fun for 5 More like this LightBot                 Great Puzzles

I loved how engaging this is for children It would excite me to see when he would get frustrated and then continue and continue to try and how happy he was when he got the robot to work Very easy for children to understand He passed all levels in a matter of a few days Id rather him be on this app than any other app I hope for more levels in the near future                 5 year old loves this game

This nicelooking smoothly executed puzzle game gives a fun introduction to thinking like a programmer Programming concepts introduced include conditionals loops interrupt commands and others My only disappointments are that there is no hint system for the three or four trickiest levels and that the game is relatively short at 20 levels total But if the worst you can say about a game is I wanted more thats not too bad                 Cute wellexecuted puzzle game to teach logical thinking
