This is such a good idea The app is very well done and has worked dependably When you re attacked you can t dial 911 and you can t describe what you look like or your location LifeLine does all of that the moment it realizes you re unable to PLUS the beautiful design and system makes it surprisingly fun and rewarding to use I also like the map feature I stay really active and live in a city and I like that I can check up on an area before going out I m way less nervous about exploring on my own although I still try to go with a friend It feels good to report stuff I notice too It s an app that helps us take better care of ourselves and each other That s pretty awesome                     Clever Easy Beautiful Peace of Mind RibBone9

This app is great for when you are walking alone If it s an emergency I would always recommend to call 911 directly but with the timer and panic button this is a great addition to your safety plan While ALL newer phones are Phase II E911 capable it s the law not all PSAP s are capable of Phase II technology so they cannot get an accurate location The FCC only requires 67 of calls to provide a location within 50 meters your phone apps can provide a much more precise location and are not reliant on antiquated technology like Phase II It s always good to have other means of calling for help but if you can speak and know your exact location then it s probably better to just call 911 yourself as it does save time                     Never too safe iFail Friends

The 911 dispatcher clearly said Phase2 tracks your location as soon as you dial 911 You don t need to articulate your issue because they will automatically send all forms of help if you cannot speak         Saw the other reviews but justminick

First many thanks to 911 responders for their dedication The biggest advantage of this app over calling 911 is the thumb release feature If someone grabs you from behind releasing your thumb from the phone screen automatically triggers an alarm and an alert to the emergency call center whereas you would be restrained or prohibited from being able to physically tap in 911 Also triggering this app would also simultaneously alert all your listed contacts Wonderful peace of mind                     Super app for personal security Cameron buyer

I m a 911 dispatcher This app and most like it really just provide an illusion of safety We do have a way to track your cellphone it s called Phase2 and it s activated the second you dial 911 It s only accurate on more expensive phones which you clearly have if you re able to install this app in the first place When an alarm is triggered with this app it goes trough the company who then has to call the local dispatch center on a non emergent line it s illegal for alarm companies to call 911 which means the alarm company s call will ONLY be answered when there s no 911 calls coming in This can add 3 5 minutes for the information to actually get to an officer If you call 911 yourself we can use Phase2 to track your phone ourselves and give the information directly to the responding officers With apps like this the information goes to the alarm company and they have to verbally relay it to the operator who has to verbally relay it to the officer wasting even more valuable time Cut out the middlemen and the huge delays just call 911 yourself You re already paying for it with your taxes     An illusion of safety The_Moose_
