Lextran - Lexington Transit Bus Schedules

I agree with Fricket There are smaller bus systems in town with much better an more accurate tracking apps that are free This one only updates the bus location every couple of minutes not live as the description proclaims and it updates to where the bus was five minutes ago Yesterday I was sitting on the bus and the app still showed that the bus was six blocks away still In a residential area not on a main road I gave it two stars because at least one of the two busses I regularly ride has the route displayed accurately        Horrible app

I dont usually write reviews but this just irks every part of my nerves According to the tracker the bus is on time Thats a lie in and of itself If the bus was onTime it would get to the stop when it was scheduled If it was scheduled for 852 and its 9 when it gets there it is NOT on time It should update it every minute that its late for a stop and say late And the other person that wrote a review is right as well some people have to work and would like to plan a route to know how long it takes them to get there without having to go through google maps The app is not very accurate either if there is a connector bus it chooses that over the main bus Its like NO I WANT MY MAIN BUS which is really annoying The layout of the app is also god awful I think the app should be redesigned Then again developers never look at reviews anyway P     I cant even

Shows me where the bus is within at least a minute gives the most current schedule as long as Lextran can make up their minds which one they actually want to follow website phone or paper schedule Simple so it makes it easy to read I dont need a bunch of other options The only downside is that it doesnt automatically detect what your closest route is I will agree that it does need to be updated more often seems like the Devs just abandoned it              Tells me what I need to know

I use the app every time I ride the bus and it is helpful It could be improved because on my routes it is missing times especially early hours I love the bus tracking app but it hasnt worked for me in several days The app could be improved if it always returns to the route I was looking at when I return to the app after checking a text or looking at another app It often changes to a different route and it always switches to a different stop inbound vs outbound for example           Its is somewhat helpful

This app doesnt really do much it just shows you a schedule and a bus tracker although Im not sure how accurate that is yet But you cant plan trips or anything like that The text size is also ridiculously small and needs an option to make it larger Its a good start but requires major improvement after that Ill give a higher rating        Nice start

Busses do not come on time Ive had more problems with them coming early when the bus schedule says they are on time If the bus gets here at 9am when Im at the bus stop at 855am then how do I miss it When I call Lextran its the same customer service woman Rude as F and biligirant I hate Lextran about as much as I hate Walmart or speedway Terrible customer service and terrible service Im sitting on the bus now aggravated because my stop was at 801 see I had time to go downtown and eat before 830 when the busses left the transit station I do this very often My bus said it was on time but didnt get her until 816 and the red mile bus that came 2 mins before it was driving behind it Least to say Im starving and Lextran is terrible Ive had different problems with different route the entire time Ive used Lextran which has been around 2 months Im from Nashville Tennessee where the bus systems are much more intricate and even they get it right Lextran id give you no stars if I could Seriously get it together     Very bad

1 Bus stop times change randomly and always says the bus is on time Even when its 10 minutes late Are they really trying to screw over people that dont have the app by fluctuating the stop times to that degree 2 Whatever Googlemaps knock off theyre using doesnt update so the bus locator shows a bus where it may or may not have been about 5 minutes ago Compare this to another public transit app like Rider and you realize what a joke it is 3 They want you to pay for continued access to what is frankly the most poorly designed app Ive ever used Id like to support public transit but currently its a theme that the buses in Lexington are always late and always packed standing room only 4 Im writing this waiting for an 803 bus Its 813 but dont worry my bus still says its on time     Terrible
