This is a user friendly app that brings you a wealth of French gems in the twinkle of an eye One major downside is that it s made for iPad not smartphones However I often need to check words on my iPhone for obvious reasons since my iPhone is constantly on me compared to my iPad Please make an app for iPhone ASAP             Great app for iPad a pity it doesn t support iPhone TheMoorish555

Perhaps I m not pleased with this app simply because I love Le Robert Dixel so much and have been using it for years Same company but the Dixel version is much easier to use admittedly with half the word bank and at 1 5 the price I regret having paid over 30 dollars for this app I doubt I will use it much compared to the Dixel         Disappointed Tnuzy

So nice to finally have this in as a portable I would prefer the interface of the other Dixel dictionaries like tapping a word within a definition brings me to its definition instead of a popup Also please consider a universal app that works with the iPhone Would like it someday though if there are plans it would be no fun to purchase a separate app                 Finally on the iPad mhir

This is a seriously excellent app The content Le petit Robert speaks for itself The presentation and the user interface are brilliant The dictionary is presented page wise much as the print edition though the search function rapidly brings the seeker to the entry sought Leafing through the pages is likewise supported Tapping on a word within the definition will bring up its definition in a smaller window with the option of going to that word s page This is wonderful for intrepid learners who want to use a french french dictionary without yet being quite steady in the saddle providing a multiplier effect to the learning experience This app is usable well thought through aesthetically pleasing and fun Worth the price                     Merveilleux JonS-NYC

I don t give five star ratings many times but this is undoubtably a five star app Le petit robert is a joy to use whether or not you study french and ought to be in the possession of everone who knows and loves the language The layout is beautiful and as intuitive as it can get This functions as an e reader of the print dictionary formatted so you can search the words or leaf through the pages as you want The speed at which the pages turn is about the same as in the iBooks app In the home page you are presented with floating random words that you tap on to see its definition Hyperlinks work for all words whether inflected or not It opens up a smaller window superimposed on the screen currently that you are on instead of switching entirely to a new page which you also have the option of doing by the way Also at the side of every verb is a conjugation link classified by the type if you need them The only thing which being left out I imagine can make this app less than perfect is audio pronunciation But being probably addressed for people who have already mastered the language and native speakers I guess this isn t a real problem Other than that I can ask for nothing better than this app                     Best dictionary ever Dudewhere's my bars
