Laplace is a physical-modeling synthesizer based on resonator synthesis that makes it easy to create bowed string, plucked string, blown pipe and metallic sounds. Specifications: Inter-App Audio MIDI CoreMIDI / Virtual MIDI Input MIDI Controller Mapping ...
Very nice resonator synth Great interface Cool arp Crappy presets and so so reverb I use it with Audiobus and AD 480 reverb and this puppy sings                     Nice JaysG!
it works beautiful Try it                     love it Gs2501
Synth fans may at first be surprised at the lack of access under the hood to the deeper features of this synth What is then surprising is how much variation can be dialed in with the controls provided It has a unique if somewhat thin voice and can provide many struck string percussive and blown sounds It is a companion to Mersenne which is similar sounding but based on percussive sounds                 Very Good Specialty Synth Rhcole
I love this app as well as all the apps created by this developer Basically the factory presets are just bad but that can be a good thing The first thing I look at before purchasing a synthesizer is can I create and store my original presets On this inexpensive synth you can It tests your ability to not have a ton of LFOs Oscillators Envelopes and it does make the sounds that are specified in the information paragraph easy I like to take a synth known for some specific sounds and move as far as I can away from them In one hour I had a half a dozen presets that were completely different from the factory set If you want to challenge yourself for 4 00 this synth is a great test for your creativity 4 stars because no Bluetooth other than that a lot to work at                 Your ability to create new sounds unlike the factory set provided Film less Soundtracks
The single screen makes for a compact app that s easy to tweak and shouldn t be daunting for beginner patch designers Laplace and Lorentz are both affordable usable and bug free Neither is an iOS staple but both could be a good entryway into learning the concepts of synthesis Laplace is a bit more of a niche tool than Lorentz but I coaxed much more unique and memorable sounds out of this Like others have said the presets don t do Laplace any justice Just for the record it can do more if you want to sound like Kate Bush in her heyday with minimal fuss definitely get this             User friendly unique sounds doug funnie
This is a great synth but you can t go buy just the presets I had to start digging into them and making adjustments before I found the real magic in this synthesizer And it is magic The arpeggiator it is one of the best and combined with the sounds that are possible inspires some pretty amazing creativity This one has my recommendation                     Wow Gitarzz
Sounds a bit thin on its own The thing that really bothers me about this app is the fact there is no global tuning     Has potential 7Z7
The patches are pretty boring and don t sit well with my music but the sound engine is amazing The FM is very useful and I m getting some really brutal cutting sounds out of this If they got some different sounds designers to contribute patches I think the potential of this synth would be very quickly seen Great work Glad I took the chance and bought it Their other synth was my go to for a long time so I knew this one had to be good                     The patches don t do this synth justice Dustyny
This is another mine field of wonderful noises pads chunky arpeggiator stuff and much much more Perfect for atmospheric sound design Wow What s not to love Peace Christo                     From the guys that gave us Cassini Aka monkey dope
I was expecting something like what you d find in NI s Reaktor 5 Disappointing but not horrible nice UI tho Maybe with some updates this can be as mesmerizing as some of Reaktors physical models of resonators         Not wonderful not bad either AshFallenBrightly
I like Cassini better I m not sure if I am a fan of this type of synthesis I can t fault the app for this so I m not going to Right now this is a for me                 It s satisfactory Long words
This one IS different in how it works and how it sounds Just start the arp change chords occasionally and tweak tweak tweak all the knobs everywhere Get ready for a long and fruitful journey                     Its Own Sonic Character ZenLizard
I love physical modeling synthesis Laplace pronounced la PLAHZ is terrific The design is very clever and effective It is both easy to get started and relatively easy to get a HUGE range of sounds from breathy flutes mellow bowed sounds to brass ensembles It is pretty intuitive once you figure out the 3 different mixer knobs those help you hear what each little element is doing I wish the reverb was a little nicer I also wish there were a couple more parameters that could be controlled by velocity Notwithstanding this is a unique and delicious synth Kudos to iceWorks                     Unexpectedly versatile B'bba
Not many synths in the iOS market can reproduce a wide range of natural sounds Some of the better FM style synths can give good glass or metallic textures but for a long time that has been the limit For a long time I have been falling back on the Sculpture Modeling Synth from Logic if i wanted a well wrought wood or nylon synth sound and not just some sampled instrument No more I have grown quite comfortable wrapped up in a patchwork quilt of apps and get cranky when I have to use the computer for anything other than recording and mastering Thank you Laplace And please don t introduce any IAPs in the future If Korg cannot do this tastefully then no one can                     Exceeded my expectations MuzikAppJunkie
This synth is worth 100 times more than it costs Well done iceGear PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release an Audio Unit version for Logic X                     No more need for my Neuron i_Reviewer
app has a great arp app should be marketed as Lapdance sales would rise                     lots of fun 5 Chezzdog2

One of my favorite synths for the iPad because it shows the potential for the IOS medium well You would probably never find a hardware synth like this because a manufacturer wouldnt be able to sell enough units to keep a company afloat But here it exists an unusual synth engine with a friendly well thought out interface The sound reminds me of late 80s early 90s workstation keyboards before sampling took over and sounds became totally realistic Kind of post FM The controls will be mostly familiar to analog synthesists though and the flow chart in the brief manual provides some insight Id love to have a more in depth explanation of the inner workings and resonator synthesis The 3 effects chorus delay reverb are great for dressing up the dry sounds and the amount of controls are well chosen to allow plenty of variation to the effects beyond what you would get in a 3 knob guitar pedal without being unwieldy The only thing I was missing was a way to bypass the individual effects off and on with one tap as it is you open the effect tap the bypass close the effect Being able to mask notes on the keyboard to play in specific scales is great to have when dealing with a tiny keyboard Glad this feature has been showing up in other IOS synths too Ive had problem free operation w MIDI keyboards via the apple camera connection kit No latency issues Seems stable no crashes on iPad Air 1 on iOS 8 Am liking the flat basic look of the interface getting away from the skeuomorph approach like if it had realistic 3D knobs and looked like a photo of a dirty old analog synth pulled from Jonny Greenwoods attic the minimal graphics seem to make it easier to see where the relevant controls are at from a glance                 Outlandish departure from typical VA synthesis

There are a lot of good fm sounds to be wrung out of this one but they keys stick when playing chords or rapid arpeggios at least on my iPad 3 Very frustrating        Good tone but sticky keys
