This new update is horrible Did anyone obtain any feedback during testing Is the Manager responsible for this that disassociated from reality Wow this app is really bad Why no landscape mode Where are the menus for quick access to categories Do your research and stop outsourcing out to amateurs     Stop hiring children to do a manswomans job

No menu choices lousy video way too many ads I loved the last version you know the good one Deleted app     Yuk

Was coding for landscaping cost prohibitive this app is no longer usable and about to be deleted from my iPad You took a useful app and pretty much ruined it up for me     What a waste

Come on over to KTLA updated app I am so very grateful for KTLA News app It doesnt crashat all Excellent quality of all news segments newscasters news traffic weather sports entertainment professional yet down to earth Video of live or replay of most recent news broadcast is available 247 Short commercial at startup then NO continuous repetitive commercials Commercial breaks are silent KTLA News has the most hours of news day of any local LA TV news station BTW its FREE PS Havent the foggiest why other users are grumbling                 Best LA News App KTLA 5

Wont rotate to landscape mode on iPad Works on iPhone I got the latest release too              Office clerk

Like the new style but the format is all over the place when you open up the article        New update is messed up

I will no longer go into this app because they totally designed it the wrong way Why does any developer take away autorotate on the screen from portrait to landscape Really That is just one example Dumb dumb dumb What a shame as this app was one of my regulars that I visited several times a day     A huge step backward

Ever since the last update the last portion of all stories are covered by adds so they cant be read        Cant see whole story

After finally getting the last app to work decent you went ahead and screwed it up again with a poor updatedesign Why exactly was a redesign needed     Dear KTLA

I understand making changes are necessary for many reasons In this situation it happened to be a bad decision the the design team and the person in charge or KTLA is too cheap to hire people with real skills and experience for the job I feel like this is done by some high school students or summer interns Why do you need the photo to be so large for each story One has to scroll like mad to see other stories After that there is not much story Sometimes you do not wantto watch the videos for the story you just want to read and move on Maybe to save cost on people writing the stories the producer decided why bother when it is already video taped and reported on TV just share them in the app kill 2 birds with one stone It is lazy and lack of effort where are the options for different counties local state USetc Weather a whole page of nothing At least the old screen shot gave you 3 diff counties This one just LA So people in other cities do not need to know the weather Or is it they have been promoting the great new weather app so no need to provide more detail here Why do I need to dl a separate app for weather when u already have a section here If I am going to download another app just for weather might as well keep what is available from the phone or iPad or the real weather app Might as well not having the weather as part of the news app Sports you still have news that are 2 weeks old like the US Women soccer won the gold cup Come on     So bad that I have to write my 1st review on iTunes

Bring back landscape view     An update from bad to worse

How do you take a perfectly working app and destroy its UI to the point that renders it beyond useless This takes talent Its as if they hired an executives 5 year old and asked him to improve it     Kind Of Unbelievable

I thought updates were supposed to improve apps Now I cant stream the media like before and I cant even finish reading most of the news stories Most of the news stories are now cut short with You May Like articles What I may like is to be able to finish the story I was trying to read And being able to stream again would also be nice What on earth is going on with the tech team at KTLA Maybe they need to dump the interns running it and get some people who understand basic business principles about making an improved update to a product     Latest Update

The interface is much better and easier to use I wish I could read comments left on the articles within the app instead of having to logging onto Facebook and looking for the article that way Also would like to see the ability to email app support within the settings of the app instead of being directed to the KTLA website for PR There is no specific link or contact information for app supportcommentssuggestions           Support

Ive been using the previous app for quite a while I loved watching the morning news I saw the update and downloaded this app Now I can no longer stream the live broadcasts The news that I do sometimes receive comes in sporadically and you have to view it vertically instead of horizontal Now let me think They dont make vertical television sets today Come on KTLA You know better than that     OMG They ruined there app

No orientation control and not as friendly as previous version Its the freaking news Keep it simple     One too many stars

I was hoping the new update would fix the lack of a horizontal viewing option The new app is not watchable on my iPad with its current format I was hoping Ktla would corrected this issue since the old app was capable of horizontal viewing The reviews reflected the dissatisfaction with this shortcoming so I was hopeful this would be fixed NOPE Bye bye I can not recommend this app I will not be checking back to see if this issue gets fixed     Still not right

News over all is garbage now days I dont care where a celebrity eats that is not news for me I dont care about someones cute puppy swimming in a pool That is not news to me And Im tired of the news keep on covering stories on how the police were attempting to arrest a combative suspect and making the police look like the criminal all the time with out covering all of the details News without actual facts is just garbage now days     News is garbage

I am not sure how many scathing reviews it will take for the incompetents to take notice but add mine to the pile You have some talented and entertaining people on air How could you betray them with this useless attempt Maybe you should have hired some high school students to write the new app they would have known what was important     One More Angry User

2 things If I have to pay for your App why dont you advertise it so I know Second I live in Ventura county and you rarely televise from there and when you do you stand in front of the East Valley We dont get Ventura stations in the East valley Rate me 27        Nancy S

More trouble than worth from the get go Annoying pop ups ads and video commercials that stutter Low quality news reporting anyway So it figures Deleted     Zero Stars

Good app but wish it would turn horizontal and full screen when watching the news              Good but

Used to love watching the KTLA morning show on my phone and Kindlemade me feel less homesick for SoCal and my family But now between normal commercials newly embargoed segments and the new upgraded apps lack of horizontal viewing its hardly a streaming live option at all Very disappointing        Disappointing download

Similar to previous reviewer I cant hear anything My volume is turned up and I have audio on other apps I can see the live feed but cant hear it And there is no place to provide app feedback The app feedback link takes you to the main contact page which tells you how to contact every other department but not tech Frustrating     No sound

Update left this app completely useless Besides no landscape capability every single time I open it I am redirected to an ad in Safari which frequently freezes my iPad Deleted Doesnt even deserve one star     Awful

App is hard to use It doesnt allow more than one email address is you want to forward a news item no provision for text cant easily read the two words necessary to actually send the email and no provision for sending a comment to KTLA about the app        KTLA app

This is so disappointing Ive been using the old version for a couple years but just installed the new update Not being able to view horizontally on my iPad renders the app useless Ive read from other disgruntled viewers that theres no more live streaming Another mistake Yes online newspapers are available for local and national articles but I relied on the KTLA app for live news reports Hopefully these issues will be fixed otherwise Ill delete the app     A horrible update

I have use this app for the last year or so and it has been very unreliable it is such a hassle to play this on my AppleTV as Im writing this I had to delete the app and try and reinstall it because its not working I wish they would get an app directly on AppleTV like some of the other new stations that would be awesome        Finicky

Sept 14 thank you for finally listening responding The return to landscape mode is much appreciated Im having no problems with sound as other reviewers However the ads completely obscure the news wire updates at the bottom of the screen Makes it extremely distracting annoyingand in my opinion works against the advertiser Perhaps ads could be placed in a smaller part of the page August 9 I deleted this app a few weeks ago since it was obvious that no one was going to listen to the majority of reviewers Today I checked the app in hopes of finding the landscape mode fully restored BUT NO In fact all the reviews were removed and it simply stated that they had not received enough reviews to rate it What a load ofwell you can fill in the blank PLEASE LISTEN TO THE MAJORITY OF REVIEWERS WE DONT LIKE THIS NEW UPDATE PLEASE RESTORE July 21st still no fixand uh does the last reviewer work for KTLA They seem perplexed by the MAJORITY of negative reviews which they obviously didnt bother to readwe simply want it back              914 Review Update

This was the only news app I had on my ipad but now it is useless in portrait mode Unless another update is provided I will have to switch to another app It is to bad I really like KTLA     No Landscape Mode
