I write a lot of patterns and this app is a very good tool No it isnt perfect yet but its darn good and the people are very responsive I saw a review that said if you dont do Facebook or Twitter you cant communicate with them Absolutely not true I sent an email and had a very good helpful reply in a few hours I believe they are trying to improve this app and address the issues that people tell them about To me that is the best anyone can ask for                 Very good app

A total waste of money Hard to figure out how to use it and help is no help at all Will not recommend it at all     Bad app

I am charting a cabled pattern and there are not enough cable stitches available to use Slip 1 to cable needle hold in back can be followed by both k1 p1 from cn and k1 k1 from cn but there are not two symbols available The input method is also clunky and does not take advantage of touch screens Finally I cannot resize the chart dimensions A feature I would like to request is translation from chart to typed pattern Since the developer has put the effort into creating the special knitting keyboard it should be possible to have the chart translated using those abbreviations        Limited cables

I like the knitting keyboard it makes it easy to record as I go while I am designing a pattern However if I make a mistake it will not let me insert characters in the middle of the text I have to delete all the way back to the mistake That is terrible I have to then re type everything again           Okay

Thanks for this great app It is quick and easy to use and a great tool for designing your own pattern without the use of pen and paper Would it be possible to add more chart symbols Specifically cable symbols and maybe color              Great App

Bought this app to make charts before uploading to knit companion 30x30 grid one chart per project and I cannot start the chart anywhere except 11 My piece is irregularly shaped and first row is the middle of the chart Too bad for me     Useless

Great app easy to use must have for any knitter Love the keyboards so nice to have all my abbreviations already for my use No more pieces of paper to loose and I can send it to my knitting circle cool                 Must have

Like other available design apps this is a good start and really a bargain considering the cost of software for knitwear design I do like how the pattern writing of the app is organized taking you through the first essential steps of determining needle size gauge yarn totals needed for the design As others have mentioned it would be a great idea to be able to import a picture I found the keyboards of knitting abbreviations cumbersome to use I spent more time looking for an abbreviation than just typing it out myself The chart could also have the capability to be numbered or have more than one chart per design Hopefully the developers are still working on this app I think it has potential           good start

So far so good However here are a few things I wish for More cable stitch options so that cables can twist in the opposite direction Cables that dont include p stitches Have a presence on Ravelry so users can learn from each other           Wish List

I design alot of projects that never can be reknitted because I lose the instructions so I can see how this might help with that but it is as of Sept limited The chart only lets you design on a 30x30 grid I would like it to be user generated with what size I need per project with multiple charts per project Also I would like a touch based chart system It is clunky right now When emailing I have to email the written instructions separate from the chart Combining the two into a seamless pattern seems needed Also the chart legend should only show what stitches I used in the pattern not all of them Uploading pictures would be helpful too for project organization and pattern creation I look forward to updates with new features This has alot of promise but just lacks function for the price Right now I am a bit disappointed        Limited

This app only lets you use one thats right one chart for a project and the spacing is VERY limited What a waist of money If you want to knit more than scarfs then this is NOT an app for youor me Hope you learn from my mistake and DO NOT buy this app I tried to get to their site for questions and if you dont tweet or do facebook you cannot talk with themApple you should do something to allow a 3day preview of apps that are offered on your store to protect your loyal customers from disapointment I feel totally used     knit Designer
