Use it all the time                 Love this App

Its rather odd that the app cannot be used in landscape mode I mean isnt that Human Factors 101              Like it but

I really wanted to like this product I bought it because it has volume to weight conversions and allows you to add or modify the food items based on your own needs But I could do this conversion using the same publicly available conversions in a spreadsheet I wanted the convenience of using my iPad Unfortunately the process for converting more than one food item as in converting a recipe which is probably how most people would use it is painful There are 7 distinct steps necessary to convert each item 1 Pick the type of unit to convert from eg volume 2 Pick the actual unit eg cups 3 Pick the type of unit to convert to eg weight 4 Pick the actual unit eg grams 5 select the food from a list scroll or search 6 choose the amount of food 7 hit done if you want to add another food item you have to start at the beginningnothing sticks and you cant choose a different food after you have touched a food from the list in step 5 If you make a mistake and hit the wrong food its back to step one again If you want to convert another food back to step one This would have been so much better if you could change the food item at step 6 In addition to this major complaint I have two minor ones the short and unnecessary delay between screens as you make your choices and the fact that the screen does not rotate in iPad mode This product has a ways to go        Does the conversions but slowly and inefficiently

Deleting this app ASAP I wanted an app to scale recipesI found this one totally useless It is not intuitive I expected it to give me the new measurements for each ingredient after entering the number servings and ingredients but all it gives is the fractionI can do that with a regular FREE calculator Furthermoreeggs are measured as eggs not cups teaspoons or gallons     Unfriendly

Excellent app My most used and valuable kitchen utility It will get 5 stars when on an iPad it handles rotation              An essential kitchen tool

I use this app all the time Its great                 Very handy

I purchased this app to convert certain ingredients from grams to us cups etc But all it does it tell you how many grams to a cup I wanted to be able to enter numbers of grams and then it calculate how many cups etc Kind of a waste of 299 IMHO        Does not convert

I was hoping to find an app that does recipe conversion For example I have a recipe that serves 4 but I need to serve 12 There is a formula to do this I thought someone created an app that would do it speedily and easily THIS IS NOT THAT APP I WISH I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK because I dont see any reason to keep this app on my phone DO NOT BUY THIS APP     WAIST OF 4

Incredibly useful app My only gripe is that every operation is separated by a short but not short enough animation My primary use is converting from cups to grams and that involves a wait on the tab change and a wait while the ingredient list comes up and a wait while the calculator comes up after that If I could remove these animations it would speed up my use of the app greatly Seems like a small thing but it adds up So if you could remove the transition animations this app would be perfect              Great app could be faster

This app is so handy that Ive decided to write my first review and Ive had an iPhone since 2007 This app is super functional and allows you to convert any kitchen unit you can imagine with great ease It even lets you specify the ingredient for most accuracy A                 Perfect Been using this for years

Great app Does what I need it to do Was worth every penny Thank you for creating this app especially with the grams fluid ounces etc out there when were trying to follow a recipe that requires a cup but says nothing about fluid ounces                 If youre cooking healthier you will need this

After making several test measurements I was able to make new entries into the database chocolate chips for example I was also able to tweak entries if I didnt think the existing values were accurate for my conditions I can only wish for a way to synchronize my changes across all of my devices                 Customizable

i wanted a recipe conversation to be able to enter the original recipe and then convert it to what i wanted up or down i dont like that i have to enter each ingredient separately its not worth the money would not recommend this to anyone     unhappy

I really like the interface and functionality of this app Will be extremely useful in my work as a catering chef A couple of suggestions for future versions that would make this the ultimate solution A built in timer so i dont have to leave the app for that and a recipe scaling feature for easier conversions ie I input the parameters such as serves 2 into serves 6 and as I enter amounts they are scaled automatically A marvellous tool thanks much              Near perfect

I like this app because its ingredients driven I can convert grams to teaspoons for baking soda for example and then do the same for sesame seeds And I can add ingredients to the list Quite handy for the homebased cook                 Works For Me

Ive used this app more times than I can remember worth every penny I tried several recipe converter apps that do simple standard conversions but this app takes it a step further By far the most useful features is the ability to convert grams to cups or other weight to volume conversions based on specific ingredients This makes the app priceless when using European cookbooks You can also add your own ingredients and adjust existing ones to make sure the weights match the ingredients you use The app comes with a database loaded with standard ingredients and over time Ive personalized it to the specific ingredients I use This has saved me a considerable amount of time Another useful feature of the app is the scaling feature which lets you quickly adjust the number of servings                 Worth every penny

I got hooked on weighing ingredients from my artisan bread baking addiction I hate getting out all the cups and spoons for my American volume recipes This app allows me to quickly calculate volumes to weight and comes with a huge preloaded database of ingredients I dont know if Ill ever find the need to add new ingredients to the list but I love the fact that I can I love this app                 Just What I Needed

I am a serious amateur baker and this app is unique in what it does Multiple apps will adjust recipes by dividing or multiplying components but this app goes further The hard part is converting recipes from metric weight to US volume I have a great cookbook written as a textbook for the Le Condon Bleu cooking school and its all in metric weights for ingredients This app is the only one Ive found that will convert from grams to ounces etc and it does it very easily That you can adjust to your own ingredients flour weighs different different times of the year and save the adjustments makes this a long term usable tool This has saved me a lot of headaches                 Professional tool

Very easy and user friendly for people that dont want to sit and do the math on all those kitchen calculations I use this to help me measure out how much my dogs need because I home cook for them I have it 3 stars for now Will give it 4 stars if it adds meat to the ingredient list no where in there Id ground meat Ie Ground beef ground chicken this is a main reason of getting it           Easy user friendly

When I work with recipes etc I typically work in landscape mode since the iPad rests naturally on the cover in this mode But this app does not rotate so I end up having to pick up the iPad rotate it into portrait mode do my conversions go back into my recipe and flip it back into landscape mode To be an iPad this needs to handle rotation Do that and Ill give it a 5           Good app but not iPad friendly

Have you ever found yourself in this situation you have a great recipe but it calls for the wrong number of people and youre going crazy trying to figure out the right amounts of ingredients to fit a particular number of servings Or the recipe calls for units youre not particularly familiar with and you would like to use those units of measurements that work for you Well now you can with Kitchen Calculator Pro It quickly scales recipes to the amounts you want also using standard cooking fractions and converts all kinds of units including weight to volume Did I mention that theres already a list of ingredients to select from and convert to the desired unit and if the ingredient is not there you can add it Ive had experience with various converting apps but this is by FAR the most POWERFUL and EFFICIENT app Ive come across The developers name is Forward Leap The name fits the app                 Power and Efficiency in the Kitchen

I convert recipes from volume to weight quite frequently and save those conversions alongside the original amount in my recipe app I use Paprika I compared several of my conversions which were done by scouring cookbooks and nutritional databases and found this app dead on for just about everything The one change I would like to see is a way to check multiple ingredients with the same settings In other words if Im converting a recipe I dont want to have to keep selecting volumecup weightgrams then choose the ingredient Let me keep cups and grams selected and just change the ingredient              Quite Accurate but One Nit Pick
