If it could play the chords entered above the measure like BIAB that would be an awesome feature This way we dont have to write in the chord accompaniment manually to ever chord              Play the chords entered

This app features great things that will allow any beginning to midlevel composer to write their music It is pretty easy to learn how to use One improvement I would like to see is a highlighting feature that would all you to select multiple notes for deletion instead of having to select them one by one This takes forever              Very well made

I really enjoy this app I think it is just great I always needed an app like this because as a musician I always have good tunes in my head that need to be written down But on the Ipad 3 Im am having issues The app closes whenever it starts to lag just one little bit It REALLY annoys me because it doesnt auto save So can you please please please make an auto save feature and make sure it doesnt force close Thanks              Awesome But Im having issues

Note input is almost impossible unless staff is made very big Then it is still awkward Input look like it was designed to work with the ios emulator using a mouse Does not work for real device using fingers for input Not recommended Sorry        Usability is poor

I had to wade through a lenghtly series of upgrades to get my iPad configured to IOS5 but once completed I was was up and running with sound and all the bells and whistles added to the latest release Amazingly simple intuitive and powerfull This application has already surpassed the standards I held for composition and notation programs and I can pack it on my iPad for rehearsal Now I can spend more time with my instrument and less time on the computer iWriteMusicApp ROCKS                 iWriteMusicApp ROCKS

I have been using this for almost more than six months and this is really very useful and easy to implement I am not an expert in music notation but I use this to teach a church choir and it really just works It had some bugs before and I sent an email to its developer and after a week there was a fix The convenience consistency ease of use and the implementation of this app is just very natural far better than SYMPHONY PRO which I bought but never use at all                 Great music notation app

Ive tried other more expensive apps to notate music and this is absolutely my favorite Its easy to use and the finished product looks great I have recommended it to others                 I LOVE it

I find it difficult to enter notes even with a stylus     I must be missing something

I write mostly lead sheets with chords and lyrics iWriteMusic is just the tool I needed for that Not too complex to learn and produces very useable music scores I am also very pleased with the support I have emailed a couple of questions and gotten very fast and accurate answers And working on the iPad is so much handier than being tied to your PC or Mac I recommend this app                 Just what I needed

Its not perfect but it handles all I need it to do Im a piano teacher so I have to notate things all the time and it works great for that A few things need to improve still 1 easier note imputing Make it a 2 step procedure Pick the pitch then pick the value or vice versa 2 grouping of staves like a piano grand staff should share barlines through and in between the staves 3 options for lyrics and perhaps roman numeral chords Thanks and keep the updates coming                 I think its great

I was so surprised at how easy this app is I am not very intuitive when it comes to just figuring out apps and software so I was grateful for their help instructions which were easy to locate and rather thorough but succinct in their explanations Once I learned how to do what I wanted to do it was very quick and easy to complete what had been taking me hours to painstakingly hand write out before I cant say enough good about this app                 So quick and easy

Great program it is really handy to have for music theory homework that I can easily print off Easy to use and I can do everything I want with it The only problem is that after a while of working with it when I try to change text I have insertedfor chord progressions the program shuts down and will not change it hoping they can fix this soon but on the whole I recommend this program              Great But

This is a very good app I am a pianist and an educator myself I use this app to rearrange some music pieces and tunes for my students academic needs This app has all the essential features and tools to get the work done with ease MIDI input feature would be a great addition to already reach palette of tools Then I will give 7 stars                 Great App

I really like this app It is a great low price alternative to Finale Higher price for an app though My one critique is that I think that those who buy the full version should not have the watermark at the bottom that says created with iwritemusic Most apps will take that off when you upgrade              Amazing App

Great app To the reviewer eadble regarding bar lines connecting you can connect as many as you want Just select the first note s until the note or chord is hi lighted and then select te last notes in the system and all will be connected Im having difficulty adding lyrics Any suggestions They wont show up when I add them              Great app

I have been working with music scores for years and things have been improving all the time I started with a pencil and blank staff paper but was excited the first time I got the chance to work with a scoring program on the computer Until now they have been rather clumsy because the interface has always been mouse computer keyboard and music keyboard The biggest advantage of this app is the touchscreen interface of the iPad It takes some getting use to but once I learned it the music flowed easily I was able to score an arrangement of trumpet voluntary in a short period of time including the transposed trumpet part and a piano part I was then able to email the parts to each respective musician in PDF format What a blessing that was This is a great app and well worth the money                 Great music score app

This app has saved me hundreds of hours in transcribing music It accommodates nearly every element of music is easy to navigate and the output is professional The developers make regular updates and are exceptionally responsive to comments issues and suggestions This is the most valuable app I have ever purchased                 If you write music you need this app

I have been using this app for nearly a year to write lead sheets chord charts and horn parts After an initial 2 week learning curve I can move around on the app quickly and can produce some nice looking charts all from my iPad The customer support is outstanding Every email I sent with simple howto questions to notifying them about bugs were answered extremely fast and always with a concern and solution to my issues I give it 4 out of 5 because it does have limits but remember its an iPad app not a full program              Great tool

I am constantly writing and transcribing music for my students I used to do it by hand with the resulting errors Id have to catch and re do I would often have my music pad with me to write out ideas or just catch up on work when I had a moment I couldnt really justify buying Finale for my Mac and didnt need all its bells and whistles I also didnt want to be tied to my desktop or use a heavy laptop for the work This app does everything I need makes proof listening a snap and allows me to send PDFs to my students It is vastly more sophisticated than I make use of and remarkably easy to use once you get used to the note placement I wouldnt be without it                 Made my life so much easier

This application will not make a sound at all No sound on playback No sound when placing notes No sound ever I would not recommend this application     No Sound

I purchased this yesterday and have only worked with it for a few hours I am rushing to write a review because there are none and this is an amazing product and deserves many rave reviews It does everything shown in the videos and tutorials No surprises No crashes The user interface is weak but this will be easy to strengthen but the functionality is extremely strong I have used other scorewriting applications on a PC a Mac and an iPad This is the easiest most direct and most functional app Ive found On the iPad it starts up immediately unlike others works without wifi and produces beautiful results Highly recommended                 Amazing

I am a musician who doesnt like to write music scores digitally because of the fact that it takes too long for me to get acquainted with the software By the time I get a hang of it I have written my score by hand multiple times Not with this app It is so intuitive and it really makes it fun to work with It has all the options and it is constantly improving too I love the way how easy it deals with importing and exporting and inputting is a real WISIWYG Keep up the great work                 The best

Ive taught music theory for 33 years at the college level I wanted a quick and dirty app to input notes chords etc The feature set of this program is so crippled and the interface so awkward it was obvously written by someone who has absolutely no clue as to what makes sense to a musician I suggest going back to the drawting board and completely starting over BTW If you are lefthanded dont even bother Your hand pretty much blocks the view of the note while entering note values Horrible and ugly program Compared to the decent functionality of Garage band this is program is rubbish     Embarrased I even bought this program

This is a great app that works well and is intuitive to use Theres a useful help section Very worth the money and I use it a lot I would like if barlines could span more than two notes such as connecting an eigth and two sixteenths thats my only suggestion              Great app

I love it The only thing that bothers me is when writing everything is just one ginormous line and you cant see the big picture unless you go to the full view Other than that I love it

I love this app and purchased it after a long trial that convinced me to do it Everything very cool until lately It gets stuck and you cannot do anything for few minutes after having played the playback Sometimes it just does it I really hope they will fix it because this has slowed down my work tremendously and its not good now that Im on the road and have no other way to write music           Good but

I find this app to be very user friendly I am primarily a drummer and have written multiple charts with this app Excellent intuitive interface I am learning guitar so I am excited about the prospect of composing music for many different instruments to include guitar                 Excellent app

This app isnt perfect but is far better than anything else I have tried It is really great to check my sight reading by quickly entering a phrase I have found it a little difficult for entering longer or complex pieces but hope the author will continue to improve things in that direction ありがと                 Great for teaching yourself to sightread

The free version provided playback capability then it disappeared I bought the 599 version still no sound although it shows playback All other sounds are working fine on my iPad     iWriteMusic

I have been unable to find a marcatto accent setting it is very annoying when you have a marcatto section and you cannot type in marcatto Also if it had a keyboard for quicker typing would be an amazing feature              Accents

Here is an update I have been in contact with the developers to let them know that my translation mentioned below was getting very positive reviews I also mentioned about getting ornaments added too They replied immediately I gave them a little more information regarding them and they stated that they expect to have it available early summer There are not many developers that care like this and I am glad I came across this app I dont believe Ill need anything else for my notation needs Perfect Previously I have recently translated a Vietnamese music instrument đàn bầu textbook into english The original book was a copy of a copy of a The music examples and songs were difficult to read so I used this app to get a fresh copy of them to paste into the text It took a little getting used to entering the notes and text in the correct locations but that was a small distraction Anyways this app came through with great results The are some notations used for this instrument that arent covered but thats to be expected I really would have liked to have ornaments available but they are coming soon I hope Regardless this works well with beautiful visual results In addition the playback feature was great in detecting my fatfinger entries My life is almost perfect                 A great app that gives beautiful results with Outstanding Support

I just composed a new Mass using the program on my IPad2 and love being able to work anywhere I would like to have a feature to save pages as a graphic to my dropbox as I compile hymnal supplements using Publisher PDF is great for printing music sheets but lack the flexibility to insert into congregational song sheets easily I look forward to further developments for this program              The best composing tool for IPad
