iTrans LA Metro

What good is is this app if it doesnt have any schedules for any of the Metro Rail lines and it cannt pinpoint your current location I found the New York version of this app to be actually pretty handy but the LA version is completely and utterly useless A total waste of money     No Schedules No Current Location

App was working well and then after the new year all trainmetro listing say not in service Just want the times to show up again Anyone from iTrans reading reviews please address        Trains Not In Service

I wanted to give this a great review I dont want Yelp attached I live here so I know where everything is I just need to know what time I need to leave the house to catch which train to be somewhere by a certain time Whoops Could not get a time frame to get to Union Station in time to catch my Amtrak train There is a bug that shows times going the wrong way or in the case of Union Station you arrive in the past Trust me on that one This would be a perfect app for a local if it just told us what times our trains arrive and depart Thats all a local needs We already know where were going           Time Bug

As the previous reviewer noticed theres a bug with the time schedule when you choose one direction and navigate through it the app shows you times for both directions           Time schedule bug

Handy for quickly determining your nearest station and when the next trains is due to arrive Very handy at a glance if youre a visual person since it uses the same map thats at all the stations and on all the transit vehicles The app seems to take into account weekends and holidays properly but does not appear to factor in modified schedules due to service disruptions or maintenance This nice to have would obviously depend on LA Metro publishing live schedule changes in a way that the app developer can digest of course The app also does not modify its timetables onthefly In other words ifwhen Metro publishes a new schedule the app will require an update in order to stay accurate Still I rely on this every day and it works great on my iPhone 3GS with iOS 401                 Handy but no online updates

I thought it was an app for the bus system You have to know the exact name and address of metro rail stations to get directions Its not user friendly Dont waste your money     misleading

Whered the timetables go Used to be great for finding last train bus times Now its dead     Stopped working

App does not work It says it didnt find the location or request timed out How do I get my money back     Dont waste your money

I understand the intention of this app but itd be infinitely more beneficial if it was tied into yelp or some other comparable app All this app really does is give the user the train timetable and their proxity to a station This app could be the beginning of something LA could really utilize if done well Please keep upgrading this           Could be an excellent app

Having used the app for the Washington metro and experiencing the REAL quality I can honestly say this was the bigges waste of 99 cents ive ever made Its not well thought out and has no options Would be a good idea to have it tell u where the attractions are This app is sad Dont waste your money seriously     Waste of money

My favorite App until recently when the times have been replaced with a not in service statement Please I would love to have this app work Can the developer give us an update here in the reviews Update This app would get 5 stars if it had not been for the lapse in service And actually had the developer communicated about the lapse I would have been fine about it too Next time there is trouble I hope we get some sort of notice along with contact with usersinfo on the website which btw is rather sparse on content Thanks though This is my favorite app              User

All this app did was offer that an unexpected error occurred I dont think this app could find a route even if you placed your phone on the train track     A Waste of Time

When this app was updated it gives an error if you have to transfer lines I travel from Warner Center to downtown daily and when I leave work earlier this causes problems     Too many glitches

While it is nice having an app that will show me where to find the next station the trip planner is just awful It skips simple connections and tells you to get off two stops early and walk the rest of the way The worst one Ive seen was when it told me to get off the Orange at Laurel Canyon and then walk to Graumans Chinese Theater even though the Red goes right there Hopefully this app will get better because there is a lot of potential     Far from Useful

The MAPS app does the thing And better Can I have my 99 back so I can buy a song for my bus ride Rip Off     Waste of dough

This app makes riding the metro in LA a less daunting task But unlike many US cities public transportation in LA relies on using both the subway and buses I would love if you included bus routes and times That would change this from being a helpful app to an indispensable tool And including bikefriendly roads class 1 2 and 3 is an added bonus But great job                 Great app Very userfriendly

They havent updated the schedules in months All trains say not in service at all times of the day The developer does not respond to customer complaints and emails The app is largely non functional now with no schedules and has been so since June 2013 Such a shame as I used to use this app all the time     Used to be good now non functional

I found this app to be half useful but it really needs bus lines Even if live updates to times arent available an offline list of line and stops would be a lifesaver Id love to be able to have an app that charted routes from point A to B while off wifi        Useful but needs bus lines

Dont get this Not helpful at all and whenever I type my destination it keeps saying there is no bus stationed there I know for a fact that there are buses that runs by the places I need to go Shame there are no refundshopefully will update and perhaps then I will change my review Too bad it wont let you submit zero stars     Ugh

The interactive system map is completely inoperable It thinks your finger is in El Monte no matter where you tap     Bug fix needed

On the train right now that according to this App doesnt exist Will right more detail when I get home But for now DONT BUY THIS NON FUNCTIONAL PIECE OF CRAP     Crape Ripoff

Lets hope they use the money to get this working with the buses gps otherwise the PDF on the Mtanet website is 10 times more informative on all of the citys public transportation system        Needs Bus Lines and Bus GPS

im really upset that I spent my own money on this app when it didnt do anything I needed it couldnt even locate my current location properlyit said I was outrageously far from where I truly am the bus lines are very limited so you basically cant do the things you wanted to do when you bought the app Im abt to try out metrO hopefully itll work better     dont waste your money on this

Time tables and run times are inaccurate Does not even include the new Expo Line which has been open for a month        Desperately needs an update

This is a fantastic app for offline train schedules and the service alert feature is handy as well It would be nice if it incorporated schedule changes more quickly though Also it would be great if the new Expo line were included and soon the Orange Line extension              Excellent for offline schedules

Enough said Alternate routes times are all wrong A two mile trip down Ventura at 730 takes 3 hours No stars     Terrible

The app is sort of useful now that it includes both the Expo Line and Orange Line Extension but the time tables are completely off           Time Tables

I bike around LA alot and this app saved me couple of times during a flat tire This would really be a life saver if they add bus lines           Decent

So far the app has bee accurate and clear with LA Metro subway routes but has been unable on every attempt to generate a route at all when set for mixed trainbus routes The unable to route error comes up even with the same start and end points that a train only query returns a route for just fine Im sure there are myriad technical hurdles to grabbing and packaging up municipally supplied data like public transit maps but transit mapping with an app must be accurate and reliable especially in a major sprawling city like LA or Chicago or wherever I can make use of it in my own city where Ill generally know what to do when it fails but cant recommend it for children loved ones vacationers or really any non natives to a city where wrong information or no information at all could put one in the wrong part of town in every sense of the word or leave one stranded        seems to have trouble with mixed mode routes

This is not easy to use Terrible for iPad iPhone     Terrible apps

While ITransit LA Metro is a good route finder and a decent substitution I still prefer the previous IPhone map system but its not the apps fault it still does its job              ITransit LA Metro Review

I have been using a similar app in Seattle called Seattle Bus It tells me interactively if my bus is late and by how many minutes by using the gps on the buses This LA metro app is disappointing in comparison and I am surprised the reviews gave so many stars All this is is a light rail schedule which you could have written in a piece of paper for your station and put in your pocket You dont even need an iPhone The info for this ad did say that you can use this program offline but I didnt know that was what the developer meant To be fair I should point out that it does have google map for locating your station but it is not integrated into the app So why use google map within this app It cannot give me directions to go from A to B unless these are stations that I already know Then I dont need directions In addition the LA light rail system is quite limited and so there is not much information that is in here If I am trying for example to go from Union Station to Burbank airport You would type in From Union Station and To Bur It would say it cannot find anything I guess Silver Line is not yet included although I can see it in the metro map above the doors in the light rail I am riding        Mostly static information

Ok When i first downloaded the application it was great After the new year I was having difficulty getting it to work a not working message would pop up Needless to say I asked for my money back the seller Adam Ernst replied everthing was now workin NOT Now Im having to make it a chore at work trying to get my 99cents back What a pain i hope Apple knows how this reflects poorly on thier product     Itrans LA Metro

Give you 99 to a homeless person Youll get more out of that then this app     Nope

Accurate concise and very easy to use I only wish that L A Metro would provide their service advisories to other great outside apps like this one Definitely can use an update              Daily train guy

Decent app Could use a refresh button to refresh the times instead of having to choose the route manually again Also should have the new Expo line map and times           Needs Expo Line

Thanks to this fantastic aplication I arrive to the station knowing the time schedule of the trains so I dont wait for hours I use Metro a lot                 I use it all the time

This app will tell you los angeles metrorail arrivaldeparture times and alerts as far as scheduled delays and such But thats it Theres a directions feature which is useless because you can only get directions from station to station which you can figure out by simply looking at the map At 5 this app is only for frequent metrorail riders who need to know if they should run to male their next train It needs bus routes and times to be worth the cash and actually be a great app for an angelino        Useful to know train times alerts
