I hear people complaining about the device beeping when the app is closed or disconnected it is meant to do this It is the devices way of saying Hey I am disconnected Check your phone The app can run in the background so long as you do not close it out completely I like it If the app is running in the background and your tag goes out of range it will alert you on your phone The tag will also make noise for 30 seconds which if you have it on your toddler it lets them know they are too far or draws attention to a person if they snag your kid or item Yes it is annoying if you close out your app and it beeps but it only beeps for 30 seconds and then stops As for not being able to label the item in the app you have to connect to the item first then you can select the arrow and add your tags to it Really good app and device has lots of potential                     Works perfect J_Hopper82

I m glad I bought 2 iTag s After reading the reviews I didn t expect much but for the price I felt it was worth it if only to find it didn t work These first iTag didn t work as expected But the second one works great I plan to replace the battery in the first to see if that resolves the problem They shouldn t ship the products with the battery installed Update That was it I replaced the battery in the bad unit and it now works                 Surprisingly a decent product for the price Jimwilliams57

I too would complain to Groupon over not having vetted the product even just a LITTLE bit but I m sure nothing would come of it It s a great concept and might work if programmed properly but the whole setup as currently constructed is a total abomination Both the printed manual and in app instructions are in choppy broken English which immediately raised a red flag I spent a fair amount of time trying to examine all of the settings to see if I was missing something but it just flat out doesn t work The sad part of writing this review is it won t prevent anyone from being robbed as you ve already been victimized by buying the device itself The app is just the ancillary next step to watch you fumble around aimlessly trying to make it work until you ultimately realize you ve been had Shame on you Groupon for putting out such garbage and Apple as well for not having an option for posting negative star s reviews     Horrrrrrible Shooter McGavin-II
