The ultimate orchestra sound app for sophisticated musicians, directed by Kurt Ader, designed as professional sound module for your iPad by connecting an external MIDI keyboard, using the Apple USB camera adapter or another adapter ...
I ve been using iSymphonic Orchestra for about a year as of this writing It s a fantastic product almost unbelievable for the price As a musician composer and producer I have thousands of dollars worth of top sound libraries on my desktop computer plus thousands more in high quality synthesizers The quality of iSymphonic Orchestra samples are easily on that level While the instruments don t contain all the various articulations mic placements and effects you d find in a high end desktop sample library they are incredibly expressive and beautiful I have purchased many of the optional collections available They are all gorgeous and more than worth the price In addition to using these for both composing and enjoyment I also perform live with them One of the bands I m in is an all female Beatles tribute I use iSymphonic Orchestra to perform many of the orchestral instruments found in Beatles music For example on the song Penny Lane I perform the horn sections flute and classical trumpet parts using iSymphonic Orchestra and my Yamaha WX5 wind synthesizer I use a set of MIDI pedals to quickly switch between instruments The latest software update has improved latency so much that I can perform rapid passages using wireless Bluetooth MIDI I can t express how amazing it is to be able to pull all of that off with an iPad The instruments sound real because they ARE real I don t even know how I d accomplish this otherwise to be honest It s a wonderful thing I m astonished delighted and grateful every time I fire up this app and play with it whether I m performing composing or just playing around I hope it stays around and continues evolving for a long time to come                     Fantastic RubyMoon
Stunning sounds and great response using ipad4 Alesis iodock and old midi keyboard Yamaha Np30 I only discovered this app because I downloaded midi wrench by the same developer Not all sounds are top rate but the ones I plan to use strings full orchestra string ensembles are incredible Great buy and highly recommended                     Wow dfrybarger
I have been using this app when it first came out The sound is absolutle amazing This new version has improvements but still need some work though Suggestions to Crudebyte developer below 1 Im not sure if its possible but if i send an all off signal it should turn all midi channels 1 16 off Currently it only turns off the channel that you are on Some times midi note get stuck when you change channel especially when using it with keyboard pedal If you change channel while the keyboard pedal is depressed certain sound will get stuck I get very nervous when using this for live performance 2 The added ability to search filter sound is great It needs an x button though Ocasionally I will be scrolling around and change my mind but there is no way to exit unless i change to a different sound or just close the app 3 Also you cannot scroll all the way to the bottom sometimes when using filter Im using iphone 6s 4 filter by rating should only include only the rated sound Anything not rated should not be included You have a very large library of sounds so to include pretty much all of them makes this feature not very useful when searching 5 I would dedicate a separate view controller to select page channel and sound You currently have to click on dropdown to be able to see what is selected for each channel and page It would be great if we could see all of them in one page without having to click though multiple buttons 6 Having the ability to select preset is great It would be great if we can send our preset to another device There is no option to export the preset             Making Progress bichpham
Loaded just 3 instances in AUM and it crashes within a few seconds of playing Hopefully this will get fixed             Great sounds crashes as AU Ion677
Unable to find the sound I wanted Sounds are inferior on the woodwind side as if into enough bit in recording Management is ambivalent to suggestions     CIO Pete4 doc
Man this sounds great Blows everything else out of the water Drop some cash and get this and some of the IAPs                     Wow Silversurfer1
The sound quality is staggering Nothing else even close Equally tasty additional soundbanks Soundtrack composer s dream                     Unbelievable Ggj1669
Using app on my iPad Pro each keypress Basic Pack delights me with a lovely symphonic sound Everything sounds so beautiful I purchased the Canto add on dreamy heavenly sounds Music would work as background for a slideshow or other presentation video Highly recommend iSymphonic to all lovers of Classical music                     Absolutely LOVE iSymphonic Orchestra BAR112
I have been mesmerized by cool symphonic string sounds for stage since my first purchase of an ARP QUADRA in 1980 This app is the dream I have been waiting for I feel like I m 20 again                     Waiting a long time pianoguy2102
Incredible APP very impressive sounds right on my iphone                     ISymphonic kxg0930
This is a really cool app However paying 25 for the app and still having to pay 12 per bundle is slightly disappointing I would love to have the option of buying all current and future sounds in one bundle All in all great app                 Good TrumpetEagle15
This is the best orchestra bundle on iPad but could you please built multi midi preset for it So we can recall the sound we need easy I buy all sound sets from this there are too many sounds it is hard to find the sound I need                     The best Thiensun88
Good useable natural sounding string sounds are not easy to come by This app changes that It is expensive as far as apps go but the price doesn t compare to the ber expensive hardware synths I have laying around that do essentially the same thing I write indie film scores and this app catapults my end product into the realm of the big boys Worth every penny                     Outstanding IOS strings kashleeee
Maybe I am doing something wrong but besides that the addons are seriously expensive The problem I have and I have written the developer twice with no response unheard of in the iOS community but when I try to control this app via external midi keyboard or via another app I only get the entire orchestra regardless of which preset I choose Now if I wanted balls against the wall all of the time then this is fine but sometimes you just want frenchhorns         Oh well theconceptofzero
This app just gets better and better I don t know what I would do without it The absolute best sounding strings brass horns and choirs on iOS June 29 2016 thanks for the new voices and maintaining this fantastic app                     Brilliant zippypinhead2012
My favorite app for strings Seems to still need an update for Audiobus compatibility but still works                 Amazing quality junkdrop
Most realistic strings on iOS Plays very well with iOS MIDI controllers within your device Miditure is cheap and works great with this app you can program the pads etc IAPs worked fine for me                     Best strings app Fgyjgfdhccfv
I have put over 100 into this app and were I not to have to struggle to download the sounds I d give it 5 stars There is absolutely no reason for this given cheap cloud storage Also the implementation of the IAPs is just shoddy Fix it and five stars all the way                 Great App and Sounds but Buggy IAP Downloads ovrdrvn
I have not yet explored the sounds as of yet This preliminary review is just to dispel comments that I have read on previous reviews by others I am always looking for better sounds for the iPad I have thus far avoided this app because of the price 30USD is not a lot of money in particular but it is rather expensive for an app If the sounds are as good as advertised than 30 is still not bad we will see Now to address the in app download times I d l d using a high speed internet service In 45 minutes time I downloaded both the app and the horn package Not bad Note to the devs most apps have a dedicated link in the settings section to purchase the IAPs It took a little exploring to run down the instrument list to find them It was simply not the first place that I looked So far we are off to a good start I will report more after diving in Mind you my primary consternation is sound I will undoubtedly pick up a couple of more IAPs within the next couple of weeks I will not be remarking about recording abilities of the app just the sounds Cheers                 Just a quick review Babble on One
iSymphonic is truly the best symphonic sound library worth the price even However be prepare to wait hours to load IAP s You can count on 4 hours for any more that two banks So beware when a purchasing Managing iSymphonic IAP downloads is a real problem and almost makes it not worth the purchase Due to this I am still unable to use the sounds I purchased This app is worth it for the sounds but the IAP functionality is truly a drawback Using iPad Pro iPhone 6S on IOS 9 2     Exceptional Orchestral Sound Library but rgrgeo
I love this app and I m a sucker for orchestral sounds There are quite a few really nice strings with various articulations in the base app Some articulations may be helped artificially and can t be altered in any way on a per preset basis like attacks etc and can be a bit static as a result But not a deal breaker in any way Some really massive and beautiful staccato sounds are amongst my favorites here Will definitely help when you score that new action movie If you go for this one I d personally also get at least the pro IAP as this adds some more needed horns winds to round off the package really well                     Top notch orchestral library on iOS ChrisE1G
I was instantly inspired to compose with this app All others are toys by comparison Crudebytes provides many very usable selections of high quality samples It is obvious that a great deal of thought went into the making of this product I was more than pleased There are five additional in app purchases which I will gladly buy and am looking forward to using All other products that claim to do the same will be deleted to make room for the additional modules I will be downloading in a few minutes UPDATE I have since downloaded all five additional modules and can gladly say that I am very pleased with them They are very rich and expressive covering just about every orchestral situation I can imagine If Crudebyde produces more modules I would not hesitated to buy them Fantastic app all around                     Best of its kind Musecrafter1
My name is Jordan Rudess and these sounds are pure magic Each one a total gem There is nothing like this on your iPad Kurt Ader and his team are leading sound designers on the planet earth Jordan                     These sounds are magic Keywiz
First let me say I almost never write reviews however iSymphonic has been such an inspiring purchase that I felt it was important to expound on its capabilities In days past I had a bulky and overpriced DAW which included the Vienna Symphony Libraries VSL This produced great sound but at the cost of expensive regular updates and space In an effort to scale down my studio while retaining most of its capability I modified and put in an Alesis I O Dock with an iPad 2 Air and ran the MIDI and other devices via that interface coupled with the AudioBus and Cubasis apps Cubasis being the target multitrack recorder The plan worked great and the output sounded wonderful but I missed having the backing of a fully articulated orchestra Enter iSymphonic Granted it does not produce every instrument on an individual basis like VSL does yet but at tens of dollars versus tens of thousands of dollars iSymphonic brings the most important sounds to the mix at a fraction of the cost with very low latency blow you away quality samples and perfect compatibility with AudioBus at least in my setup I have used iSymphonic for the past month and it has been flawless and dependable with zero crashes and or failures NOTE To do it right you will want to have a solid MIDI input device usually a keyboard All of this said I fully recommend iSymphonic without reservation to anyone that is considering the purchase and is interested in adding symphonic lead tracks and backing tracks to their repertoire iSymphonic and its libraries are all well worth the spend                     iSymphonic returns to me a long lost friend Fitness Work-In-progress

iSymphonic was pretty good at launch but the app update last fall really improved the sounds and made this truly great This app has the best strings sounds currently available for iPad and iPhone well the developer s Oriental Stings app is equally as good with its own high quality sounds A bit pricey for the App Store but well worth it if symphonic sounds are what you need                     Beautiful sounds TozBourne
You guys have me locked in with your incredible sound libraries I have taken the plunge on all of them now well everything but the IAP for iSymphonic CMP piano libraries and iSymphonic have been included in just about every mobile project I ve worked on for the past few weeks CMP since day one of its release Now I am just ecstatic that I can carry it with me everywhere on my iPhone 6 plus BTW anyone wondering it performs fantastically on a 6 plus I have been able to actually route 12 separate and simultaneous midi track to iSymphonic and not seen any lag stutters or jitters just great sounding strings It works just as well so far on my old iPhone 5 as well Oriental Strings is also keeping me inspired lately also but iSymphonic is not going to occupy a permanent spot on my iPhone probably for the foreseeable future Compared to Miroslav Orchestra add on purchase for sampletank I wouldn t even bother installing sampletank with Miroslav at all now that iSymphonic is available Sampletank libraries stutter and lag after 1 or 2 sample banks are loaded on the exact same device Miroslav Philharmonic is not bad sounding in most cases but it s nothing compared to iSymphonic Also the flexibility of iSymphonic really cannot be compared at all to sampletank Again I can run 12 simultaneous midi tracks on the same device sampletank struggles with 1 or 2 With a bit of trickery I can trick it to work with audiobus even though it s not showing up on audiobus listings it s still very possible with inter app audio Very happy with iSymphonic and would recommend it to anyone who loves stings                     Another app I cannot live without Obis11
The quality of the samples seems commensurate with the price iSymphonic has everything in one easy to use package and does a lot of automation for you such as choosing which instruments to play with which notes When I want more control I can look to something else but for me this fills a niche that those apps can t offer a freedom of just being able to play and not having to fiddle with settings and multiple apps to get a full symphonic sound I wish some of the presets had a faster attack at times Some of them have trouble playing eighth notes                 Good app Guapolator
This actually rivals some of the orchestral sounds from Quantum Leap That is saying something I love Quantum Leap samples they are top notch so are these Definitely in the same ball park as those guys Amazing this is on my ipad These are proof romance and studio worthy                     Amazing Moneypuppet
The sound is incredible Please make this Universal I really enjoy CMP Grande on iPhone this app is a natural complement                     Beautiful littlewoodg

Last version added a new sample set and hosed the prior purchase Deleted the app and reinstalled but still challenges Its premium priced so not acceptable              Buggy IAP Downolads

So I went ahead and bought this during the sale They claim this library surpasses even libraries available on PC Obviously this is not true at all Unless they meant in the same price class Then yes it probably does surpass anything in desktop in its price class And anything on iOS as well It is kinda thin without the IAPs which does add a few more well needed horns winds soloish instruments to the library These instruments are included in the initial download locking them behind IAP is a bad business model New samples downloadable would be more lucrative to purchase Just a tip to the devs Anyway at about 80 bucks IAP included for me its worth it I do own a few higherend libraries on the PC hence why I reacted to their false hyperbole PR in the Appinfo Lets just say that if they add a better keyboard the one in there is workable but it is fiddly as fk to manage this will most definitely be good enough to makestart out that new epic movie or game soundtrack while youre on the go and got nothing but an iPad with you Its also good enough to use as a sound module alongside your other stuff obviously It is not the ultimate beall endall orchestral library it needs some solo instruments viola violin cello winds and horn Then it would be a lot more complete and ultimate Oh and a better keyboard It is mobile after all 4 stars increase the playability in regards to the on screen keyboard Add a few solo instruments Then Id go with highest marks for this one Oh and perhaps some big toms and timpanis to go along the epic theme the library goes after as percussions That would be nice              HERE BE WITCHES BEARS AND SOME TITLE
This actually rivals some of the orchestral sounds from Quantum Leap That is saying something I love Quantum Leap samples they are top notchso are these Definitely in the same ball park as those guys Amazing this is on my ipad These are proof romance and studio worthy                 Amazing
