I downloaded it because another review said it has cover flow for pdf files Nope SFTP and FTP connections are very buggy Connecting to photos is alsonot working In short if I could get my money back I would     no cover flow ateslik

I feel like a beta tester with this app On the website it is described that the iPhone version has coverflow as one of the viewing options for the documents which this does not have Also unable to connect to dropbox to access my files keeps taking me back to the dropbox sign in screen Too many errors unable to connect to my cloud drives really made this app worthless in its current state The previews and the developers website really looked great and the app looked liked it had great potential by offering diverse document views flexible file management and connectivity to all my cloud based files Well as for this rendition you cannot even connect to cloud files to even try the file flexibility portion and it seems no support for the advertised coverflow view Basically this version is a complete waste of money since it basically really does NOTHING Was hoping this would be a good document and file manager that I can also buy the iPad version too but no way will I shell out more money I just really want my money back as this app is completely functionless at current time         Needs lots of work Chimera01

I have gotten use to the old interface over time I ve stopped using it for things were there were bugs Mostly I used it to store a few critical files I want to carry aound with me and as an FTP client With this new version I ve found it to be very difficult to get a file via FTP from a server I successfully did it once but I wasn t able to replicate it for a second document I end up just dragging around a thumbnail of the server document that I m trying to get I haven t tried to push anything to the server to know if that is easier or harder I still think this is a good app for what it offers but sliced bread it is not             I must need training HArchH

I love this app but it would be even better if you were able to multi select documents to attach to mail Right now you are only able to copy multiple photos then paste them into mail but if you want to rename these files and save them in your iStorage then attach all photos at once you can t Please add feature                 Documents please add feature TeqNique

I don t usually write reviews but given how many low star ratings this app got I felt the need to leave a good review I tried a bunch of file transfer and video playback apps and this app is by far the best It does everything I need it to do it doesn t crash and it can perform the file transfers in the background Only giving four stars because the UI needs some work Some things are just counter intuitive and could use a little polish Fix those and this is easily a five star app                 Does what I need it to do Frank Faubert

so this is basically an air sharing clone of sorts and does things nearly as well so far update my ssh and ftp s are at least working now this is a very strange UI but spending a lot of time hitting my head against it is yielding more understanding I seriously somehow derived it was iCloud compatible and I hope he adds this i know its possible because goodreader can now push and pull files into and out of the iCloud That would make this app a 10 star app that feature alone i really don t know what the hell to do with this app i m highly technical a linux user of over 10 years it seems feature rich but i cannot figure out this workflow for the life of me             no icloud support review updated xyz_

I love this app especially after this latest update My copy paste issue was resolved and the added support for dropbox is great since I use that service as well I still wish iStorage could view folders of images in a thumbnail view like the built in Photos app and it would be awsome if it could open music an video files maybe even import export between a remote disk and the internal library             Great App electronfusion

I read a lot of negative reviews but took them with a grain of salt since many were written in 2009 My goal was to upload photos and videos from iPhone to iDisk which was never accomplished satisfactorily Selecting a photo for upload was requiring me to crop images then crashed the app Attempting to select a video resulted in a long compression phase and then hard failure which required a full power down to recover I ve used hundreds of apps and never been annoyed enough to write a bad review It is the six bucks for this app that added enough insult to the injury for me to take the time complain     Wasted six bucks annoyed Xjax

When I first got my iPhone I was shocked that the Choose File and Upload buttons in Safari are disabled when you use any common web form It also turns out that every web browser in the App Store lacks this functionality too Finally iStorage solves this problem The app helps you to get files into your phone from the web an FTP server an e mail or an iDisk and then turns around and allows you to upload them through a web browser FTP etc So long as you have images or files sitting in your iStorage Documents folder you can use iStorage s web browser Which looks and feels like Safari to upload them This a great news for bloggers who use WordPress or Movable Type and anyone else who needs to upload an image or Word doc via a web browser The app could be improved when you want to copy an image from your iPhone s existing photo album to the iStorage Documents folder There is no bulk copy or quick copy function for individual images Each image has to be copied manually out of the iPhone album and renamed The app could benefit from allowing the user to upload directly from the iPhone s photo album Despite this annoyance I still give the app 5 stars for being the only app to allow web browser uploads As with any app this one has evolved and improved with every version and I hope to see more functionality as the app matures                     Impressive Built in web browser puts others to shame Hyper-blue

In its current incarnation iStorage is far and away the best file manager app I ve used for the iPhone It has everything I need the ability to act as a client or server on a local network to transfer files to from computers access to FTP sites and access to iDisk and other WebDAV storage sites Why run two or three different apps for those functions when you can get them all in one Earlier versions may have had stability problems but I ve been using the current version to connect to a variety of FTP and WebDAV sites with no problems The interface could use some minor tweaking but overall I found it intuitive and easy to use Well worth the 6 bucks             Take the mediocre ratings with a grain of salt Tomso

Maybe I read the description wrong but when I connected thru FTP to my site and edited an html file iStorage emptied the file after I saved the changes Every time The description says it edits text files which is what html files are and when I highlighted the files the option to Edit or Download showed up so I figured I was ok Not the case The file was still on my server but had 0kb of content Good thing I worked on backup files It did work with files with the txt extension but few web files are labelled that way If you are looking for an FTP client to help you maintain Web sites on the road as I was this isn t it     Eats html files dkat1043

Immediately after upgrading to OS 3 0 on my iPhone 3G this app started failing I tried to add an FTP site and it crashed I reinstalled the app and it adopted a Sirius XM app icon and continues to crash whenever attempting to add any more than one network item I deleted it from my phone and will watch for an update in iTunes     Failure after iPhone OS 3 0 mrcrader

I used this app for a while until I discovered ReaddleDocs They re similar but Readdle has a better web browser and you can forward email attachments to your free online storage for transferring to your iPhone                 Good but could be better poop17

iStorage has become my most used file management app and I ve bought most of them It isn t the best at everything but I ve found it the best overall I need access to iDisk and other WebDAV services I also have HTML content and it s nice to view with all associated files and edit Favorites include simple interface except opening a file see below email based on your own SMTP server very nice nice full screen document viewing diverse remote server options WebDAV FTP HTML files read linked css and js you d be surprised how many don t Wish for s include opening a file is clunky as it provides 5 file options confusing for casual users the browser is functional but cluttered full screen web viewing as nice as document viewing would be very helpful occasional crashing although the next startup sends a report to the developer visually indistinct icon is too busy and gets lost in the crowd Nice Work                 Highly recommended Me to We

iStorage gives the possibility to access idisk I want this iDisk From to moment you configure it followed setting from there website the application stays in status connecting 10minutes set user name without me After swithing to home screen opening the iStorage again the app closes crash if iDisk is openend feature unusable Webdav If you start webdav becarefull do not delete Documents the app crashes and needs to be reinstallalled For the moment my money is spend for something that doesnot work             This app is not ready and the feature idisk wimaarts

This program is worth the price for its ability to act as a webdav and FTP client Being able to download edit and upload files is fantastic I would give it four stars if it were more stable because it is crash prone Besides the instabilty its biggest flaw is that secure webdav over https simply doesn t work I believe this is a genuine problem because I have tested with two different webdav sites If secure webdav is required you should not download iStorage I have not yet tested secure FTP The interface is easy to use but could look a little nicer It is surprising how much attractive graphics and animations can improve the user experience For future versions the ability to open password protected compressed files would be useful as would support for other types of secure FTP A recent update caused all my document files to be deleted This is a problem that will need to be fixed in future updates In the meantime users need to make sure their iStore files are backed up before updating             Great Potential gbphx

iStorage has both client and server file transfer software built in This means that one can be on the iPhone and upload download files to a remote host It also means that one can be on another host and upload download files to the iPhone Most file transfer apps for the iPhone only allow uploads downloads from either the iPhone or the remote host not both iStorage lets you do it either way which I find super useful iStorage supports FT WebDave and iDisk So I can access my iDisk and remote FT servers from my iPhone and I can access my iPhone from my laptop if need be Furthermore iStorage can do this over wi fi 3G and Edge So as long as I can see the other host on the internet I can access it It also works between iPhones for iPhone to iPhone file exchanges over wi fi It can download files from web pages the ones that you click on to download normally A handy feature for retrieving manuals etc for storage on the iPhone File transfers are not limited to one file at a time but can be entire directories folders if so desired Lastly iStorage also allows editing of text files either locally or remotely I can ftp into my web server and edit the html files there on the server for example On the downside yes it has its occasional crash The interface is a little obscure in some places but usually decipherable if you are familiar with FTP etc I know of no other iTunes app that has this kind of flexibility in transferring files with the added ability of being able to edit text files                 Most versatile file transfer app ArsAstronautica
