iSmoothRun is the best App to effectively track and log all of your running, walking, hiking and cycling. Run further. Run faster. Train smarter. Use your iPhone to it`s full potential as a training aid for running ...
Great app for the data junkie And super easy to use Would like to see the ability to share across devices Take this technology and mapmyruns ability to display and you have the best app Mapmyrun is for beginners This is for athletes Would also look into the heart rate monitoring ability with the polar strap Its screwy especially at the start of a run           Solid
The iPhone app is amazing However the Apple Watch app needs some work For some reason it will stop showing the run statistics and get stuck on showing only the summary of your weeks activities Even without anything to interrupt it such as a phone call           Amazing iPhone app Not so good Watch app
I love this app It is by far my favorite out of all of the running apps in the app store because it just had so many features One feature I would like to see is the ability to change skip pause play a different playlist music on the main screen when youre running Its a bit of a hassle to try to adjust music when youre busy running                 Best running app
Update 2 I have been using ismoothrun for 2 year and even after buying a Garmin running watch I continue to use it The developer has been regularly updating it and the technical support has been good This is a great app for those who dont want to pay to manage their training data as you can upload your activities most of the payed for and free sights Its great Feature packed Tracks encourages all with the freedom to store your data locally or on any if the popular sites I use the inbuilt metronome to remind me to keep my cadence up                 iSmoothrun great independent fitness trainnertracker app
When I received my Apple Watch I tested a number of other running apps as possible replacements for this one as iSmoothRun does not currently support Apple Watch But ultimately I decided to deal with having to start my runs from two different locations Workout on the watch and iSmoothRun on my phone Despite this one shortcoming theres still no replacing this app It simply blows the competition out of the water And for that Im still giving it 5 stars Just please add Apple Watch support as soon as possible                 Please add Apple Watch support
The developers did a great job on this app and continue to do so Just look at the version history to see that these people care about their product and continue to maintain and update it The interface is clean and legible which is obviously especially nice during a run when it is most difficult to read the screen and possibly interact with the interface Their hardware support is great Their export options are great I wish that they could export to Polars sites but that is purely Polars fault for blocking anyone elses uploads My current favorite feature is the cadence alerts and support for Bluetooth stride sensors The app can be set to alert you if your stride gets too long ie your cadence drops too low Itll duck your music and play a metronome that you can try to match with your stride It really works to support actively retraining my bad habits I also love their Pebble integration And a bunch of other hardware integration This app is clearly a labor of love from the developer who is clearly both an avid athlete and a poweruser geek Ive tried a bunch of these apps but this is the best allinone running and other similar exercises app And best of all you pay for it upfront none of this trick you into a series of hidden surprise inapp purchases Instead it is completely an honest and open transaction Try them all but I think youll find this one is the one At least for now                 Nearest to perfect of all such apps
Solid interface great features lots of options for creating customized workouts and easily the broadest support for 3rd party fitness tracking sites Runkeeper Strava etc New AppleWatch interface works much better than Runkeepers From just keeping to track of your regular weekly jogs to serious training for a distance or speed event this is the most complete running app you can buy hands down Great support by the developer as well What more can you ask for                 Great fitness app Updated 62015
Great again              FixedCrash after upgrade ios
Update Still the best and the Watch app makes it better The Apple Watch companion app works well too View weekly and monthly mileage and start and pause workouts from the Watch See split stats while you run At last the best app for tracking my marathon training Better than RunKeeper RunMeter and a bunch of the smaller apps Ive tried Heres why no online signup required though the app will post to dailymile and others if you want to use them no bugging you for premium subscriptions superaccurate gps even in the rural North no unnecessary taps to get started no naming routes required the best interval setup in the business fast easy and optional imports and exports gpx and tcx data so all your runs are in one place This one is the best                 The best running app
Love this app It integrates well with all my other health apps and has great audio feedback with a lot of options to select My one issue is with the Apple Watch app If you receive a call while running then when the call is done or ignored the app does not show your run anymore It reverts back to a summary of your weeks activities              Great App one flaw
I used to use MapMyRun but hated all the popups and marketing crap I just wanted a simple app that tracked my running This app is perfect All the basics are there and the user interface is easy to use Now I can focus on running and not fight the app or have to close 3 popups in a row to end a session Worth the initial cost                 Simple and excellent
I have tried every single GPD tracker out there and a couple of years ago iSmoothRun was the best It is reliable it uploads to lots of services and the development was consistent However lately it seems things have been going downhill When they came out with the Apple Watch app I was really excited But it didnt work No problem I figured they needed time to work out the bugs Well its been four months now and it still doesnt display my current running stats consistently while Im running It usually switches back to the week view which is completely useless during a run Sometimes I raise my wrist and it works fine but it is completely unreliable Also when I finished my run today it loaded the same run to Strava twice doubling my mileage once as a manually created run with the notes in the title and once the correct way Frustrating So whats going on           Going Downhill
How I have I missed this app It took searching for a better apple watch app to discover this Great accuracy flexibility in customization and the best UI All the social export tools you need as well Happy Running                 The Best
Works like a charm Goes great with my Pebble as well as HRM and stride sensor The developer is extremely good at responding to queries quickly and helpfully                 Great running app
Update After running a marathon and more with the new version I can say that iSmoothRun has the best app customizable display most intuitive controls great performance and battery efficiency You can rely on this app Use it standalone or as a companion to the Apple Fitness app if you dont have a separate HRM Previous thoughts This app is a joy to use The design is wellthought polished and practical The many innovative features such as shoe mileage cadence measurement and accelerometerassisted tracking have helped me get in the best shape of my life The cadence feature has directly contributed to improving my running form and efficiency New features roll out regularly Some of the recent ones I like are improved Strava integration faster GPS sampling rate with no noticeable change in battery usage and support for the iPhone 6 barometer                 The best run tracker best Apple Watch support
iSmooth turns on and measures nothing At least it told me I felt good while it registered 000 on distance and steps climbed on each of the dozen tries I gave it Apples health dashboard such as it is actually measures something 0 stars     Glad I didnt pay for it
As of May 1 I can no longer export to FB Love the app but that export leads to awesome support from friends and Im missing that especially now that Im training for races           Export no longer working
It handles every sensor Ive tried it helps me track details of my bike commute my long rides running Even gym work outs benefit from at least heart rate tracking Almost every feature Ive thought I might like for a workout iSmoothrun has had it Sometimes you have to noodle around with the interface to find it but its there and its still a lot easier to use than a GPS watch                 Worth it
I am using Ismoothrun with the original Pebble watch The app does what it says and is very user friendly I bought several other runcycle apps to work with Pebble and none was fully successful Some were downright useless Ismoothrun is great It is user friendly and does not barrage you with additional purchase promotions or ads Great                 Does what it says for Pebble watch
After trying out strava runkeeper nike mapmyrun and more I settled on using ismoothrun in conjunction with runkeeper Ismoothrun has the best settings for live progress updates cadence pace time etcVery customizable Also I love paying for an app up front rather than by subscription like many others Highly highly recommended                 Best run tracking app out there
I have tried almost every running app and this one is a good one It has a fixed purchase price no ongoing subscription fees provides all running details without creating an account and is easy to navigate and reasonably easy to read outdoors in the sunlight A couple of things that need improvement The graphs need to be improved a lot They offer little to no info The pace vs elevation graph is poor at best nothing like most other apps Also no idea what the path colors blue green yellow mean on the map display No legend Also this app needs the ability to run the music from within the app More apps are doing this now and this app needs to develop further              One of the better running apps
After getting frustrated with inaccurate distances and paces with other apps I decided to get iSmoothRun I havent looked back and it keeps getting better and better If youre even moderately serious about training weight loss or racing you want this app The author is incredibly responsive to bug reports fixing a pacing issue for me and is really committed to making the best possible app Ive also used the heart rate support with a Bluetooth strap and its super easy to use In short its easy to use has tons of useful features and incredibly accurate                 Best App No contest
My essential running companion Definitely recommend Love the intervals Keeps getting better with every update                 Essential app
This review is just about the watch app because the iPhone app is the only game in town The watch app is currently not as useful as the Pebble app Sync with iPhone is unreliable Ive tried the app many times on different days and have often had problems with it cutting out during a run when the iPhone screen is turned off etc It just isnt there yet A feature request for the watch app would be the ability to adjust text size and amount of parameters per screen The current layout is a bit too small to be readable              iPhone App still the best Watch app buggy
Ive tried most of them but this one surpasses all by range of customization and export ability If you like to track to multiple sites I E Runkeeper Nike etc this single app will upload to all your favorites in one press I use this app in conjunction with my Pebble Time and its absolutely glorious The combinations of information presentation are endless All the best features all in one app                 One App To Rule Them All
Now it wont save my workouts Neither on my iPhone 5s nor on my spouses 6 Plus So looking for a replacement Any suggestions Still hoping they will fix this issue Previous 5 star review Having tried several I found this one to be the best for my purposes Has every feature I need and a lot I dont need Plays nice with other apps and my heart rate monitor              used to be great
Blows the rest out of the water just use this and export the data to whatever service you want                 Best app for running
Great companion watch app very customizable with much more detail than stock Workouts app I especially like the heart rate monitor integration using Bluetooth wireless HRM strap and the graph Well worth the wait Overall this is the most flexible and fullfeatured running app for iPhone It integrates well with many third party trackers including RunKeeper MyFitnessPal and DailyMile                 Apple Watch App Worth the Wait
I have been using this app for a year and a half I bought it to keep track of my runs but also use it for all my exercises I was even able to create my own exercise to keep track of my circuit training              Great app for all my exercises
Great fitness tracking app and really nice to be able to use one app to upload my fitness data to multiple sites I use it daily for running and cycling and export to Strava RunKeeper and MyFitnessPal Fantastic app                 Best running and cycling tracking app
This is not only the most accurate run tracking app but it also lets you crosspost to all the other ones I love that it also lets you automatically add weather data to your workout comments Worth every penny                 Swiss Army Knife of Running Apps
And Ive tried the bunch This has the best features best interface and best Apple Watch app BY FAR Please keep up the great work                 Best of the bunch
This app is very customizable userfriendly and provides a large amount of information for activities I had tried several other apps and decided that this app worked best for my needs Congrats devs youve managed to impress someone who isnt easily impressed I highly recommend this app                 Worth every penny
Ive been using this app for about a year after giving runkeeper the boot and its not let me down often I loved the intersect when I had my pebble watch and recently got an apple watch Heres where it went a bit wrong though The connection is dodgy and mid run it seems to think Ive stopped so you click resume on the watch and end up with two instances of a run at the same time Last week I managed to run 35miles because pausing one instance had started a second and vice versa This is annoying since sometime I glance at my watch and it shows me last weeks stats because for whatever reason it thinks the activity has stopped If I pause on my phone and restart it restores the connection but often loses it again Apart from this big annoyance the app works well              Great app but watch app needs work
Been using it for over a year Reliable publishes to Strava and others Pebble watch app means i dont have to pull my phone out which is the killer feature for me                 Great app especially with pebble watch
This app just keeps on improving with great developer support This is THE app to use when runningbiking and upload later to your favorite social fitness site Thank you for adding great Pebble support for intervals and alerts iPhone 6 Plus Pebble iSR rocks I dont think I have any more reasons to keep my Garmin watch Thank you for pushing the iPhone 6 update out so quickly and adding Health Kit integration This is the best running tracking app Lots of behind the scene intelligence Works with Viiiiva Pebble and is always at the forefront of sensor adoption Syncs to a bunch of sites like Fitbit Garmin RunKeeper and Strava Keep your accounts on those services but use this app to collect your data Awesome work on integrating more features to pebble 20                 Best of the bunch
Some small tweaks would be nice but overall fantastic                 Best whileyourun app there is
This is by far the best running app Ive used It works well doesnt have any obnoxious ads and doesnt require a subscription to keep using Two areas need work First the voiceovers are very robotic and drawnout Average pace6minutesper mile with like a seconds pause between each word And second it will start the run without making sure its connected to bluetooth devices and will sometimes go for 10 minutes without recording data from those devices Hitting Check Sensors Status first fixes the problem              Best running app voiceovers need work
Smooth sleek quick interface syncs with most major other apps Theres nothing not to like                 Run TO this App
Love this app I wish that there was an option for it to only use GPS when using the app not always or never              Great app wish it wouldnt run in the background
Tried severall runningapps but this is my favorite The Apple Watch app is the best Ive tried                 Tried severall runningapps but this is my favorite
Export works great                 Great app
I think this app is great I use it for cycling and running and enter in my swims as well Two additions I would like to see one is being able to add in other workoutsweight training HIIT etc I like to keep track of all my workouts in one place and I think that would be perfection The second is under the cycling option there is a space for shoes but there should be one for bike for when people alternate between bikes              Great app but
I have a serious problem with the privacy issues in this app I totally understand that it needs to access my location while I am using the app and I would agree to that However that is not an option The only two options are always and never I feel like this is a strongarm tactic by the developer to get more information about me than they need and I HATE that I will outsmart you I will check always when I use the app and change it back to never when Im done with it I will beat you at your game        Privacy issues
I used to use Map My Run but at one point started having trouble with it Switched to this one and have been happy since As I am reading the feature set in the App Store I realize I dont use half the features but I am still satisfied I trust this app to accurately as is possible I think record my mileage and other data I dont use external monitors If you are listening to music which I do then the voice comes on after every mile to give your stats by fading the music so that it still plays in the background I like that                 Better than the others
Im previewing the beta Watch app now and its the best one available far superior to Nike RunKeeper and Endomondo Purchased the original app years ago but havent used it since buying a Garmin GPS watch in 2011 Getting reacquainted with it now that I have an Apple watch and its stellar An easy 5 stars                 Best Watch app
Ive been using iSmoothRun for over four years and Im constantly impressed by how they keep developing the app and how responsive they are to user feedback The programmability is great even complicated intervals are easy to set up Great app                 Great running app
I use this app all the time for tracking runs and exporting to RunKeeper It even supports RunKeeper Live The UI is simple minimal even without a bunch of options you pretty much hit the big green button to start tracking your activity The howd it go screen at the end of a workout is a nice feature and the colorcoded route map by pace is very useful Why this over standard RunKeeper Adds weather and cadence tracks mileage on your gear shoes bikes calculates fastest song and average stride length And allows ghost run so you can race against yourself Plus it can post to other appssystems like Strava and uploads to Dropbox too Even if I didnt use it to track my runs the ability to pull in a TCX file from Dropbox and upload it to a bunch of other tracking sites is worth the price                 Easy to use still the best
Great when it works Im new to running and like the verbal queues that it gives The graphs are pretty cool and the workouts are easy to set up The deal breaker is the GPS does not stay connected on my iPhone 5c It is in a constant state of going into auto pause or giving erratic pace rates while Im walking at a steady pace 15minmile This is occurring in my neighborhood no tree cover sunny days no clouds to be seen even when there no programs running in the background like music I have tried adjusting the GPS in the advanced settings and this only helped minimally I will give it another go after the next update and adjust rating if at all possible So for now Ill continue with ease to 5k It doesnt have all of the nifty features but what it does it does very well     So very disappointed
The app crashes when starting a run after the latest update     Crashes after update
