I own the iMini and the iSEM and now the iProphet They are ALL power houses They JUST have that vibe and the feel of those classic synths If you are looking for tweaking and building Presets iProphet will keep you busy for hours and hours this synth has a lot to offer                     Wish I would have bought this a long time ago Thirdnail

This app must be based on the Prophet V2 which was in the VC4 Seems to have the same problems High CPU load notes getting stuck screeching noise develops when load gets to high and app freezes They updated the Prophet V in VC5 which uses less CPU and the preset tones as well as sound quality is much better Perhaps Arturia should think about upgrading their apps as well You d be better off with the iWAVESTATION It has all of the VS waveforms and is capable of producing the same sounds without all the bugs glitches and CPU load of the iPROPHET I was thinking of going for the iMINI after this experience I thought again         Um JibrilAb

I would like to see Arturia develop more great apps for iOS like they do for masOS They only have 4 for iOS I have all of them I want more                     I love it Tree on Hill

Update So far so good I will need to try it out in a DAW project to know for sure but it seems to be working now without the unwanted sounds Also AB3 improvements are much appreciated Previously I really want to love this synth but here is another update and the audio problems are still present Play chords and within a few minutes a pulsing obnoxious sound starts to ruin the experience                 First Test Promising ZenLizard

Amazingly they opted to replace these in the routing matrix with accelerometer x y This makes what could be a nice synth with an external controller pretty much a joke I contacted support and got no reply at all Went to a forum to find out that this has been requested since it came out by many many people and they have not done a thing about it iSEM was worth the money even if it has it s flaws that they won t fix but I cannot say the same about this Only buy it if you are alright with having no expressive control I would ask for MPE control but that s a pipe dream considering they won t support things that were on the original synth The iPad isn t a toy anymore when it come to making music It s a shame that that s how they treat it with this implementation     No support for Aftertouch or Velocity Really SneakyT

Very impressed with this app I think it just may be my favorite yet by Arturia It has a very clear and unique sound and will no doubt become a hefty component in my recordings                     Another Arturia Great Awesome synth

Sounds amazing and functionality has been restored for saving user presets had to restore iPad and reinstall but worth it as the sound is amazing                     Great KnowNaMe

iPad Pro 9 7 Arturia make great synths but for this price they need to be useable Inter App Audio is problematic in both Cubasis and Auria Connecting the app usually takes a couple of restarts to get it working in a DAW And changing presets always crashes freezes the app and kills audio completely So you need to remove the app as an IAA instrument in your DAW track open the app as a standalone select your preset reconnect it and if it does run not change presets Also iProphet has a great in app keyboard with many useful settings like a scale selector but no midi OUT only IN so there s no way to record your midi performance from the app and change or tweak presets later Sort of defeats the keyboard s purpose I ve confirmed this with the Midiflow app the midi equivalent of audiobus for routing Unfortunate and I hope they fix it soon Otherwise it ll just sit there looking and sounding pretty but useless for most work applications             Great sounds when it works beelthebob

VERY unstable in Audiobus Switching to IP in AB instantly causes lockout and screeching audio forcing user to have to do a total reset of their device I ve run in to this on iPad Pro iPad Pro2 iPad Air2 Please work with Apple and AB team to fix this         Great synth Except junkdrop

Using an iPad 2 on iOS 9 and this synth feels like the original Killer pads leads and bass sounds I am simply amazed at how well the sound sits in the mix when using Cubasis I paid 4 99 and would not have been disappointed to have paid triple the price Over 500 sounds to get you started and the synth engine is really deep like the original Kudos to Arturia                     Feels like the Original Guycoolio

There are an insane amount of glitches and bugs in the audio I am constantly running into pops cut outs and mono from stereo and just one ear or the other working This happens on my iPad Pro and iPad Air This is terrible Useless in this condition I love all three of the synth apps from Arturia on iPad right now Just fix the audio issues in ALL OF THEM and me and all your other customers will be stoked Thanks for the fun apps I love my mini brute and beat step pro also     Please fix your app Arturia Natemasterflex

But I don t like the sound of the app and it glitches a cardinal sin in a synth app nor do I like it s user interface design         I ve really tried to like this app Eriptron

After all this time these two obvious GLARING issues that are 100 reproducible have NOT been fixed Unbelievable Here s how to hear experience them for yourself Issue 1 Load up the app select Factory Preset 04 STRING 1 The first issue is that the preset should be polyphonic It does NOT play polyphonically until you press either the or keys to increase decrease the preset Do this and put the preset back to 04 STRING 1 which should NOW play polyphonically Now for something even worse Issue 2 Play a three note chord using preset 04 STRING 1 Without releasing any fingers after the initial press slide up the keyboard to play an upper register Now release your fingers from the keyboard screen What do your hear Lush beautiful synthesis I didn t think so The only way to clear this unless noise is to change the preset App developer FIX THIS MESS     Beware of unwanted audible pulsing distortion SergZak

I want to love this app I really do It has so much potential to be a good softsynth but the distortion is still present I would have thought that maybe with the update this issue would have been fixed but it hasn t been The fact that you can t play certain patches without the sound starting to distort ruins the playing experience Hopefully Arturia will get it together soon and fix this problem with all three of these synth apps because right now they are unusable to record any audio into iPad DAWs I m disappointed         Why u no fix the audio distortion TBMisamazing

Great sounds but a few tweaks would be nice When holding a drone the iPad goes to sleep This is the only iPad synth I have that does this The drone keeps playing but to change the pitch I have to re wake the iPad and enter my PIN Kind of a pain a settings panel to control various app settings within the app enhanced FX that also work as effects plug ins for Auria or other recording apps Those changes could make it a true 5 star for me                 Great sounds trptgk

I really love the design and sound of this little beauty But like all the Arturia synth apps USER programs can not be deleted nor can any user patches be recalled when used within Tabletop by Retronyms Just like the Imini which is still my favorite synth app peace Christo                     Very fat update 2 now can delete user patches Thank you Aka monkey dope

I love the sounds that can be created by mixing waveforms together In a future update this will be a really killer instrument At the moment it suffers from stuck notes and poor MIDI implementation no MIDI for the joystick thats what this instrument revolves around             Cool but buggy djAlpad

iProphet is a nice synth It s just a little unstable when used with Audiobus and the audio quality sounds only a little better than average and at times when it should sound clean it doesn t It does have some interesting characteristics and the options to control the sound live are really cool The mod matrix is interesting but feels constrictive relatively speaking There s certainly potential for crafting interesting sounds Is this a synth I needed Is it innovative Probably not It doesn t do anything better than any other synth I already own Seems like it s just another attempt to cash in on another remake of another legendary machine Kind of a novelty more than practical and necessary or even satisfying It can be a lot better             Not bad not great SmiteMatter

Iprophet is an ok synth I wanted to use it with sound prism but I can t because iprophet does not play in the background I really don t see what this has over thor It is better than arctic synth and korgs ims 20 But I use thor so much this doesn t have enough where I could see myself using it all that much             Please add enable background audio Dnb guy

The original Prophet VS has 8 note polyphony this apparently has only 4 note Under the AMP section All Voices there are 8 pan pots but the right 4 do nothing Signed up on their website validated my email address registered the product from within the app there is no other way tried to get support to ask about this issue and there s no way to No option to select this product no way to contact them nothing No support Besides half the polyphony and no support a smaller issue is the app does not support user defined created waveforms as the original Prophet VS did which normally wouldn t be a deal breaker But no product support is     FAIL wavetracer

Complete waste of money Bad sounding up No midi learn or way to record automation to DAW     Poor sound quality Nothing like the original amirefrat

It is buggy in Retromyns TableTop and unusable in a REAL DAW as it has no Virtual MIDI Come on Arturia let us have the power of versatility That is the only way you will make this great sounding app live up to the legend     great sounds NEEDS VIRTUAL MIDI king egorock

It s buggy as all heck with Audiobus I too find that any app Retronyms creates fails on Audiobus which is really unfortunate as Audiobus is the MIDI of iOS if you ask any serious electronic musician that is utilizing iOS Retronyms c mon guys and get your Audiobus bugs worked out On its own the Arturia apps have great sound but they need to drop Retronyms Straighten out the Audiobus bugs and this app will be a five star     Nice design and sound is great for an app BUT ShockADD

Nice synth BUT doesn t receive MIDI IN from Xynthesizer or ChordPolyPad I stopped testing after those two iPropeht shows up in the routing of the controllers but the controllers don t show up in iProphet s MIDI section I favor developers taking MIDI implementation all the way I hope it gets addressed soon     MIDI broken Damarche

There are some audio bugs that really get in the way of what otherwise would be a unique and fun iOS synth The overall architecture of the synth is pretty basic and the mod matrix has some strange limitations I assume that these restrictions exist in order to be faithful to the vintage hardware it emulates It sounds pretty good and there are ample waveforms provided for each of the four oscillators The multimode filter sounds okay in some modes and great in others Envelope interface is fluid if a bit imprecise I have encountered a bug in which a low end humming loop will persist regardless of notes being pressed that renders this synth worthless for actual jamming at the moment I have also read that the midi implementation could be better Once the bugs are squashed I d say it s worth the 10 provided you are a synth nerd             Cool Synth but Buggy AG Hatecraft
