I am a midi hobbiest novice only and I realize how great a midi multi channel experience can be and how technically difficult it can be to achieve regarding latency sound quality sound fonts and using various platforms operating systems My whole goal was to achieve 7 channel midi for personal listening pleasure without spending a fortune I had 5 channels going pretty good and decided to use my ipad2 to get the final two channels This was a trying venture I wasted 5 on Garage band and 10 on nlogpro I think my grandkids will love them so not a total waste However they were not a means to my desired end I got the free version of iPlayMidi and was finally able to get my new Griffin Midi to ipad2 adapter to provide quality synchronIzed sound and that is great I will gladly pay the 2 99 for the full version to permit loading premium quality sound fonts This app met my needs when several others beyond what I already mentioned failed to hook up to midi stream and or only would play inferior quality analog synthesizer sounds I am now in 7 channel midi heaven and will get even better sound quality soon with the ability to load sound fonts                     Finally Schultzg
