iOT Session is an app that improves and addresses deficits in visual tracking, bilateral coordination, visual perception, fine motor/dexterity, visual scanning, and handwriting/correct letter formation. It was created by Dr. Frederick B. Covington, an award ...
I paid for this app and only used it a little while because the developer does not update so it can function If you are going to charge for apps you should be willing to keep the updates up to date so they will work and can be used Good app but beware they do not update workingwithkids
One of my students hit log out and now it won t let me log back in I was enjoying using the visual scanning activity and the visual perception activity and liked how the app kept track of student progress Can t log in jennie1966
I am a school based therapist I actually liked parts of this app BUT very disappointed in the support I can no longer sign in or change my password or get someone to help me with this so this app is of no use to me I strongly recommend not investing in this app until support is straightened out VERY DISAPPOINTED Key west kid
The best part of this is app is the ability to track progress Handwriting section is poor because of the typeface used and the letter formation patterns I will not use the handwriting section with students The fine motor game where you pull dots together using two fingers is awkward Dexteria has a much better version of that activity The visual scanning age is fun Disappointing School based OT
Major flaws Not enough time to complete No beginner levels Poor sensitivity have to tap more than once for response Good concept Otrbarb
Yes this is a helpful training AP However the letter formation sheets for lower case letters is not entirely correct with our way of teaching for example a d g q y are all formed incorrectly Also some of the number formations you show I also teach differently examples are 4 5 9 I was really hoping to use this AP for teaching I can use most of the AP but the lowercase letters and numbers won t work Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA/L
This is an outstanding app I am both an occupational therapist and I am both an occupational therapist and a parent to four little ones Not only does this app do what it claims to do but I can see that both my patients and my children improve I have used other apps before but none compare to this one When trying to compile apps that can do what this ONE app does I find myself spending as much as 15 20 I would recommend this app to any parent teacher preschool or occupational therapist it actually does improve the base components of learning Excellent App that works Dr. F.C.
I will use this with my clients especially with visual perception visual scanning and fine motor however I like iWriteWords for handwriting better because it uses auditory feedback and the letters are formed correctly I also prefer the Bubble Birds app for visual tracking as it also provides auditory feedback if desired and clients can be more successful with it Good app KKMcGn
It s a fine app but for it to be OT related it needs norms otherwise it s nothing more than just a game to play unless you use it to collect data just on individual progress but still no percentage correct given at the end of task Could use more objective data collection measures for documentation purposes Needs norms The Pistol
