I am pleased with how easy it is to use Inspiration Maps with my fifth and sixth grade students - Renee Ramig Inspiration Maps brings visual thinking and learning to the iPad. Developed by the makers ...
I have been using inspiration for 24 years As you might guess it s my favorite tool for concept mapping and for mind mapping I ve been waiting for an iPhone version and I m very happy with your new offering I need about 15 minutes to figure out the software on the phone The more I use the app the better I like it                     Just what I needed @gilly1965
THIS APP IS HORRIBLE I SPENT A LOT OF TIME WRITING NOTES AND IT DELTED AL OF MY PROGRESS RETRIEVE MY NOTES OR ELSE U WILL BE RECIEVING MORE BAD REVIEWS I AM A CUSTOMER THAT BOUGHT THE PAID VERSION I WILL NOT BE RECOMENDING THIS TO ANYONE UGH FIX THIS WORST APP EVER FROM UR MADDEST CUSTOMER     Mad customer I hate this app123
This was my favorite mind mapping app Unfortunately the latest version has a bug which will not allow you to type into the bubbles using a Bluetooth keyboard It s very unfortunate because otherwise the app is great On a positive note the developer was easy to reach and informed me of the bug and that they are working on it Once this gets fixed I will most certainly give it more starts     Bug Fix Needed for Typing in the Bubbles with Keyboard abc awesomeness
Not working Won t allow me to type in the bubbles     Love Inspiration Apps funkyseifert
Works ok but the new graphics are flat a step down in appearance from the original version a couple years ago Bring back shadows and gradient fills             Fair mind mapper graphics of older version much more attractive Dan the plant man
I love making concept maps for my courses and I thought this would be a great app for me to have an electronic version of the maps I make But this app doesn t allow me to draw an image directly onto the diagram             Kjreyn
I have used Inspiration since its first PC release runs circles around all competing flow diagram gantt charting you name it It beats the competition in terms of speed to create and edit and ease of startup and use I have used many brands but can t give enough kudos about this application                     The best and easiest Taylor Revere
With the most recent update this application has just exceeded all others in the arena of organizing information and assisting in the learning process It is second to none in this regard I have used them ALL I repeat I have used them all and none are as efficient easier to use more aesthetically appealing and helpful than Inspiration If you were to hand me the latest Xbox or PlayStation or this application I would choose Inspiration because it is funner than the other two Yes That is what I said Playing a video game is not nearly as fun as designing an organization chart writing an outline or any of the other multiple uses that this application provides If I had a recommendation one that I think would improve the app I would allow for various compatibility with other programs by using some of the universal file formats such as Rich Text Plain Text or OPML This would allow for collaboration and augmenting the data on other applications if the need arose or will arise Also aside from this application it would be wonderful to see the Desktop software updated to reflect the aesthetically appealing interface that is on this application But overall this application is bar none a five star app and I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who needs to record and collect information e g primary and secondary education college graduate or professional schooling as well as professions that require organizing information and presenting said information e g PR or lawyers Templates can now be designed to suit anyone s needs This app is pure brilliance                     The most amazing application software for organizing creating and learning Funkrates
The 1 thing this app is missing is the ability to automatically backup maps to a specified source You allow access to manually do this to iCloud dropbox and many more already Several other apps such as Notability have this ability Would love to see this in the future                 Still Missing Auto Backups Scott Craver
Good note tacking app                     Helpful Taken12467890558458
Very easy to use Great for many uses                     Great app Karatemom_115
This app is GREAT for teachers The formats and templates allow for quick generation of personalized worksheets to be printed off as PDFs It can create charts that look great on a whiteboard connecting ideas and helping students visualize connections if the standard Cornell Notes format isn t useful for them It lets us take notes about related topics at meetings as well giving us the flexibility of pen and paper when it comes to placement with the edit ability of any digital medium I love it for what it is                     Excellent App for Educators ProfVQuesada
Recently the app quit letting me send to Dropbox I used this function to make templates for my students that they could then open on their iPads Now in order to get the templates to Dropbox I have to email them to myself and then save the attachment to my Dropbox folders I m hoping that this problem doesn t occur on my students iPads or it will make the app pretty much useless for students to use as a tool to create graphic organizers and outlines for my History class I also hate that it s not backward compatible I purchased the app for my own iPad but did a volume purchase for my iPad cart 32 iPads for my classroom The app has updated on my iPad but has not for the classroom iPads So now any templates I make are incompatible with my students iPads I know the company needs to make money but in a restrictive funding environment it is just not feasible to update 32 iPads every time a new version comes out         I love it but 08 PRS SC250 Player
I would just like to suggest an easier way to select multiple bubbles I get very agitated when I try to select a huge number of bubbles and then suddenly it makes me edit the text and then I lose all my previously selected bubbles therefore having to start all over in selecting again I d make this five stars if you made an update with a WAY easier way to select a huge multiple of bubbles                 I would like to suggest a feature in the next update Tokinei-Chan
Inspiration Maps is touted as a product that can be used with their desktop application called Inspiration For many people this will be important because mind mapping is generally a way of brainstorming for a presentation or written paper that is most likely to be finalized on a desktop or laptop computer The rub here is that the desktop application at least for Mac is about as unstable an application as you can get It freezes crashes and even deletes work that has been previously saved when it automatically attempts to reopen crashed files Over the course of the last year I have intermittently tried everything including reinstalling it repurchasing it and even installing it on a brand new machine and it freezes and crashes every 10 or 15 minutes Others are reporting the same experience Thus if you have in mind to capture those fleeting inspirations on the iPad and then work with them on your laptop or desktop you should consider a product that has a usable desktop laptop counterpart Inspiration for Mac is a very bad joke and any claims that you can work this way are disingenuous     Don t try to use with desktop version Richard in California
This app is extremely helpful for note taking and mind mapping in school but it needs to be updated to ios7 with the new buttons and keyboard Not a huge problem but it should be updated just for looks                 fantastic app but on ios6 FalconX7
Ive used inspiration since 7th grade I m now in college So happy this company is alive and kicking Especially for Mac people I am using the Mac app and this iPad app To be honest the app on my computer is for more professional detail oriented projects This app on my iPad is more for on the fly note taking concept mapping for me I am IN LOVE WITH THIS To use concept mapping on a large screen iPad and have everything just simply work is awesome They kinda have the same model as apple the simplicity is the first thing you notice but if you take a little time to use it and tinker around you can see its a powerhouse It s so simple to use It s amazing what you can do with a simple finger tap You can do everything that you can do on the computer app It s just better designed for the iPad touch gestures And it looks prettier and more clean than their desktop app I paid 40 for it I m kicking myself now since this app basically is being used by me more At least I can upload this to inspiration app 9 1 on my Mac and work on it Love it guys Keep up the good work No ads no crashes on iPad 1st gen 5 1 1 And I can t imagine how this looks on the retina display Devs Please don t change the user interface or graphics It s simplicity on the outside is excellent                     FINALLY Revan1123
I m highly visual and standard outline form does nothing for me I ve spent two days creating my five year plan and finally it all makes sense This is great and easy and simple and effective                     I like this a lot Rondo bird
Been using Inspiration and other mm software for a couple of decades Its various iterations haven t always kept up with the competition vis a vis features but it maintains a distinct look and good functionality Now that the iPad app and the Desktop version can share files Inspiration is once again a welcome and viable competitor Keep up the good work                 20 year user Sunranger39
This is the only functioning app I ve found for teaching and practicing outlining as a intermediate writing step for middle schoolers IT ROCKS It works fantastically for different types of learners They LOVE seeing their thoughts reformated from formal outlines to mind maps For some kids it makes a huge difference to see what amounts to a thought bubble shift around and line up with perfect indents and punctiation When they feel like they can think in orderly paragraphs Holy cow They start writing orderly paragraphs This app saves me HOURS of reteaching                     Outlining MGSTAHL
I have used inspiration since getting my masters in teaching some 8 years ago Had to have it for Childhood Psychology I use at home for remembering items my daughters wedding projects and of course education I presently work for a large corporation and am using it to organize my own training policies and procedures I believe anyone can benefit from this program and it is very affordable                     Everlasting gfddjjjj
Switching between mind maps and outline views compensates for low aesthetics Style options and improved image loading some overlap or random replacing would be helpful                 Ms Fl0r@nc3
it deserve thousands of stars thank u for this great app                     great Taymour-pmp
I like this app its not bad although it is the most expensive of all teh mind mapping apps I purchased it and tested it to consider it for a large contract to give with all our students at the university I work for I wrote the developer to the customer service emai as a customer who has purchased the app I also wrote their sales team email and even tried calling their office to speak to someone All in all never heard back from teh developer from teh customer service or anyone This being an opportunity for them to sell about 700 licenses and never answer this shows how careless they are about any type of customer communication Imagine what would happen if you had a problem with this 10 app I recommend looking for a cheaper one with better service     Good App really bad service or attention from Developer Basarav
The only thing this app lacks for my needs is the ability to export in vector format so I can use the diagrams easily in other documents like proposals and reports                 Needs SVG or EPS export leosmama
This app is excellent It is without question the best concept mapping app in the store It s single glaring drawback is that awful icon I held off on buying it for over a month because of how dissonant that icon is within the overall iPad aesthetic and I still have to hold my nose every time i look at it on my screen Once I m past that icon and into the app though all is well                 Don t let the icon fool you mswest2
Great app Very easy to use and now and I can go all things off my head and organize into something that is intuitive to understand One enhancement I would request is the ability to upload into iCloud and synch Thanks                     Inspiration LYS2010
Have been using Inspiration on my Macs through 3 versions Love using it on my iPad even more The layouts arrows color gradients etc are playful beautiful I have been using it design a presentation for a gallery exhibit I plan to use the png pdf formats as content for the slide show loop However when I export to 9 1 all the content remains but the layout reverts to ordinary straight arrows the gradient fills disappear and the colors change My diagram is pretty long so shift between 27 iMac iPad It s just as easy to work on iPad despite difference in screen size Almost easier because I can access fonts more quickly without scrolling through 100s of fonts in 9 1 to get to one I want even withs preferences set I do love the iPad version and would assign 5 if it imported into 9 1 with same characteristics Inspiration do you plan to update 9 1 to include the features in iPad Maps Although I teach design in higher education the appearance seems more playfully related to your huge market of grade schoolers etc                 Love Inspiration Maps on iPad Brynya
I use this ap for teaching notetaking to middle school kids I love the ability to move information around to show how to organize notes for effective studying Most money I have spent on an ap but it is worth it                     Resource teacher Jdspx
Inspiration maps will never save my web things             Inspiration Maps won t save Inspiration Maps won't save
This app will not save I have to use this for school and it will not save certain bubbles Instperation please fix this             It will not save Will not save
I am a fan of Inspiration and of its predecessors like Think Tank and More and I truly enjoy working with outlines This is a great step forward with the integration of an iPad version of the desktop Inspiration application Also the tools for re structuring outlines work pretty well BUT To make this a truly productive app why not support a BlueTooth keyboard for working with this app Right now the only thing you an do with a hardware keyboard is input text Why not enable the keyboard to navigate between topics promote demote topics etc Omni Outline does this already Please do some keyboard integration as it is crucial for being productive Thank you             Good start but E. H.
Great but bugs and crashes need to be fixed moves very slowly and sometimes does not work at all Also cannot be backed up so am wary for using it for its intended purposes Once these are fixed should be fine but don t buy until they are fixed                     Great for school addie101
I ve been using inspiration for desktop for a long time This app would easily be 5 stars if it integrated with the desktop version Having 2 versions of my maps is not very helpful Please fix this             Great iPad App but doesn t integrate with desktop version The Monopoly Guy
I purchased Inspiration six years ago for my pc and I loved it As time went by the program stopped running smoothly on the pc so I removed it I was sad to see it go but the software hadn t really kept up with technology Fast forward to yesterday when I found this app for my iPad I was completely stoked As a published author good outline and mapping software is important to keep my crazy thoughts in some kind of order that makes sense to me I tried the lite version and within ten minutes purchased the full It s just as cool as I remember plus a lot of upgrades to really smooth out the interface I switch between visual and outline mode a lot and it is super useful that I can move the items around It s great not having to copy and paste things just grab a bubble and move it Inspiration has received a much needed upgrade to the clumsy interface from so long ago and now navigation is a snap It is a little buggy but I can overlook the minor stuff if it means I can trash my folders full of sticky notes scraps of paper and napkins Cons include sluggish response to switching between visual and outline help topics not easily accessible no hover help Again the cons are minor and easy to ignore when my productivity has increased so drastically                 Old customer happy once again optycal
Using this to help my 3rd grader to write better                     So good for young writers GmaPamR
This would be a great app but for any price it has some major glitches 1 Content from outline does not import to Pages without formatting problems that require quite a bit of adjustments and the app does not provide it s own word processing option to print out a final draft format such as an essay report letter etc 2 Most importantly the outline portion is FAR too touch sensitive so that sections move and disappear unintentionally which is a nightmare To move a section of the outline should require either a pull down command or an intentional double tap Seriously hope this is corrected or it s not usable and certainly not worth the cost             Inspiration app eeleam
This is another excellent piece of software from Inspiration Software I have been a big supporter of their company for many years and I use a wide variety of their products The app is easy to use efficient and quickly manageable for outlining and mind mapping complex topics Excellent presentation and interaction Much better than other tools of its type My only real complaint is that it needs to be able use the same data format as Inspiration for Desktop That would be amazing as you could then start work on the iPad or desktop and move between them as needed Even better would be iCloud syncing but I am even OK with Dropbox or iTunes transfers But to be a seriously helpful tool this interchange is a MUST Thanks for making a great piece of software Inspiration folks and I hope to see it turn into something absolutely amazing                 Excellent But would LOVE to share data with desktop version Daremoe
Fantastic App I love the ability to add images to the mind map instead of having to use boring map objects like ovals or rectangles I am making a workout map that shows a picture of the area of the body being targeted and images of each individual exercises for that targeted area One other nice feature is the ability to resize images by pinching them I would like the ability to add hyperlinks to objects without showing the URL on the map I would also like to add music to maps to get me in the right mind set to perform the steps in the map The first step in doing anything is usually the hardest So anything to help motivate me would be great especially considering this is an inspirational app Thanks for creating this app it is what I have been looking for                     Love the use of images as mind map objects Joe Tooman
I ve been completely sold on using outlining programs as part of writing projects ever since I got a great grade on paper when I spent 60 of the time in the outline program and only 40 in MacWrite I had never realized the tangible benefits of organizing my thoughts before putting the metaphorical pen to paper I ve gone through them all I like Inspiration on the PC It s largely marketed to the education market but I use it for my general writing and thinking When I got my iPad I searched for Inspiration on a whim and was really glad to find it I use it now to organize thoughts and ideas for a number of different projects I work on It has my solid endorsement as a key tool for effective writing It s also a really good tool for listing thoughts and helping to organize and document them                     Solid Outlining Program for Thinking and Writing Ivy League Writer
First let me say how very much I love using this method for idea generation and mapping Seeing my ideas on virtual paper allows me to manipulate them in a variety of ways and to discover relationships I might never have seen before Clearly that is the love part On the other hand once the map started to just get interesting it crashed every time I looked to use it the victim I assume of memory issues The wonderful ideas generated by the process ended up with no place to go And that is the hate part I would love to make a lot of use of this program but will not be able to if this issue is not resolved As of now I m extremely disappointed as well as frustrated Hoping for a fix             Love hate relationship crgNneezer
Inspiration has long been the easiest way to collect and link your thoughts and ideas The iPad version was weak at first because it was difficult to transfer maps out of it This release attempts to fix that and almost succeeds with the mail a PDF feature It falls short however because notes appear whether they are hidden or not Even worse each note is accompanied by a scribble that looks like an elephant Still I am happy to see that they are working on the problem We are almost there                 We re getting there simplyphysics
I ve tried every outliner mind mapping and concept mapping app I could find over the past twenty years or so I ve used both inspiration and Mind Manager in business and for personal use That said Inspiration Maps has the best user interface that I ve ever seen it is magnificent simple to use and understand So I think this developer should be leading the integration of this app with the desktop app the makeover of the desktop app A big big big big big problem with this app and the desktop app is that headings 1 2 3 etc do not transfer to outlines in Word or Pages So in those apps you cannot use the outliner to rearrange and refine your writing that started as a mind map in Inspiration I have tried and tried to get Inspiration to fix this but they continue to ignore me Mind Manager Freeplane Freemind and others convert heading levels to outliner levels cleanly On each new release of Inspiration I keep hoping someone will fix this But here again it still is broken So even tough the UI and ease of use are spectacular I ve rated this app 3 stars because of the lack of integration with the desktop app and the outliner problem             Best mind concept mapping app But DaveT996
I am an avid user of inspiration but to make this product more practical you need collaboration like Maptini does or your webspiration does too Or add a webspiration link feature Also It needs an auto arrange feature like your desktop app or Mindnode or iThoughts Add these features and you ll be the best             Great start T21
Thank you I have been a loyal Inspiration educational user since the 1 0 version targeted toward businesses I have tried and wasted money on Inspiration wannabes looking for a replacement in my iPad world over the last 2 years I say better late then never The power of Inspiration for students is the ability to turn their visual into an organized plan and vice versa and that feature is alive a well here After putting it through a few tests the 2 environments worked seamlessly I can still add my own pictures for symbols The other element needed and is working great is the notes feature for each symbol that feeds well into the outline I m also impressed with the on board templates Lots of great ones students can use as study learning tools I also enjoy the clean intuitive interface The reviewer giving Inspiration 1 star solely because it wasn t compatible with the computer version and cited that Apple wouldn t do that didn t mention GarageBand and iMovie I can t send unfinished projects to my Mac to work on and it wasn t always seamless to start with the others I am just very thankful you have delivered a iPad ready product Most end users probably won t need or have the computer version to care This is a beautiful start If There is ever cross platform in the future it s just the cherry on the top for loyal Inspiration users Well worth the 14 99 I will be looking at volume purchase for our school making it even more affordable Inspiration has kept the elements that have made it a cornerstone educational tool for over 20 years The mobility of Inspiration on the iPad will get students inspiring and organizing everywhere I for 1 am excited you didn t wait for cross compatibility I ve been waiting long enough Thank you Next I want kidspiration Lisa Pospishil Assistive technology specialist                     Finally Bravo NorfolkPanthers
Don t be misled by Visual Brainstorm s review He she is obviously an employee of Inspiration parroting the company s marketing message The simple fact is that you cannot create Inspiration documents on your Mac or PC and then sync or share them with Inspiration Maps on your iPad And you cannot create files on your iPad that you can share on your Mac or PC The two are incompatible I welcome Inspiration to come on this forum and state otherwise As a fan of Inspiration for more than a decade I have been eagerly awaiting the introduction of Inspiration for the iPad hoping that it would provide the same kind of synchronization between Macs and the iPad that users experience with MindJet particularly for 14 99 What a disappointment Although it advertises that files can be shared through Dropbox there is no way of sharing Inspiration files created on the Mac with the Inspiration program on the iPad and vice versa What an unbelievable oversight Imagine files from Pages or Numbers or Keynote not being able to sync across platforms It would render those programs nearly useless for those who have now integrated iPads into their hardware Inspiration should know better Certainly their loyal clients deserve better     Tragic DCSpeechwriter

Inspiration Maps is easy to use to create documents and the sharing capabilities are awesome Email documents to share your ideas in the body of the email send to Drop Box Evernote Page and pictures of documents go right to the Camera Roll Use pictures from your Camera Roll for symbols or add form other public domain sources Tons of capabilities Love it                 Just like the desk top version

Very easy to use Great for many uses                 Great app
I was astounded by how effective of a transformation this program was from the desktop version to the iPad Ive been a Inspiration user for years using it for thoughtmapping website site mapping and outlining Inspiration is very often the secret weapon to simplify complex processes as well as help you stand out with its slickness Inspiration Maps keeps all the best parts of the program and married them up with what makes the iPad easy to use And its even quicker to use now                 Astoundingly fast and efficient
The 1 thing this app is missing is the ability to automatically backup maps to a specified source You allow access to manually do this to iCloud dropbox and many more already Several other apps such as Notability have this ability Would love to see this in the future              Still Missing AutoBackups

Inspiration maps will never save my web things           Inspiration Maps wont save
Switching between mind maps and outline views compensates for low aesthetics Style options and improved image loading some overlap or random replacing would be helpful              Ms
Well its a pain working with this I have seen better and it is not inspirational           Meh None better but not great
Inspiration has long been the easiest way to collect and link your thoughts and ideas The iPad version was weak at first because it was difficult to transfer maps out of it This release attempts to fix that and almost succeeds with the mail a PDF feature It falls short however because notes appear whether they are hidden or not Even worse each note is accompanied by a scribble that looks like an elephant Still I am happy to see that they are working on the problem We are almost there              Were getting there
I am an avid user of inspiration but to make this product more practical you need collaboration like Maptini does or your webspiration does too Or add a webspiration link feature Also It needs an auto arrange feature like your desktop app or Mindnode or iThoughts Add these features and youll be the best           Great start
I like this app its not bad although it is the most expensive of all teh mind mapping apps I purchased it and tested it to consider it for a large contract to give with all our students at the university I work for I wrote the developer to the customer service emai as a customer who has purchased the app I also wrote their sales team email and even tried calling their office to speak to someone All in all never heard back from teh developer from teh customer service or anyone This being an opportunity for them to sell about 700 licenses and never answer this shows how careless they are about any type of customer communication Imagine what would happen if you had a problem with this 10 app I recommend looking for a cheaper one with better service     Good App really bad service or attention from Developer
This would be a great app but for any price it has some major glitches 1 Content from outline does not import to Pages without formatting problems that require quite a bit of adjustments and the app does not provide its own word processing option to print out a final draft format such as an essay report letter etc 2 Most importantly the outline portion is FAR too touch sensitive so that sections move and disappear unintentionally which is a nightmare To move a section of the outline should require either a pull down command or an intentional double tap Seriously hope this is corrected or its not usable and certainly not worth the cost           Inspiration app
Ive been using inspiration for desktop for a long time This app would easily be 5 stars if it integrated with the desktop version Having 2 versions of my maps is not very helpful Please fix this           Great iPad App but doesnt integrate with desktop version
I purchased Inspiration six years ago for my pc and I loved it As time went by the program stopped running smoothly on the pc so I removed it I was sad to see it go but the software hadnt really kept up with technology Fast forward to yesterday when I found this app for my iPad I was completely stoked As a published author good outline and mapping software is important to keep my crazy thoughts in some kind of order that makes sense to me I tried the lite version and within ten minutes purchased the full Its just as cool as I remember plus a lot of upgrades to really smooth out the interface I switch between visual and outline mode a lot and it is super useful that I can move the items around Its great not having to copy and paste thingsjust grab a bubble and move it Inspiration has received a much needed upgrade to the clumsy interface from so long ago and now navigation is a snap It is a little buggy but I can overlook the minor stuff if it means I can trash my folders full of sticky notes scraps of paper and napkins Cons include sluggish response to switching between visual and outline help topics not easily accessible no hover help Again the cons are minor and easy to ignore when my productivity has increased so drastically              Old customer happy once again
I love making concept maps for my courses and I thought this would be a great app for me to have an electronic version of the maps I make But this app doesnt allow me to draw an image directly onto the diagram
This app is extremely helpful for note taking and mind mapping in school but it needs to be updated to ios7 with the new buttons and keyboard Not a huge problem but it should be updated just for looks              fantastic app but on ios6
This is another excellent piece of software from Inspiration Software I have been a big supporter of their company for many years and I use a wide variety of their products The app is easy to use efficient and quickly manageable for outlining and mind mapping complex topics Excellent presentation and interaction Much better than other tools of its type My only real complaint is that it needs to be able use the same data format as Inspiration for Desktop That would be amazing as you could then start work on the iPad or desktop and move between them as needed Even better would be iCloud syncing but I am even OK with Dropbox or iTunes transfers But to be a seriously helpful tool this interchange is a MUST Thanks for making a great piece of software Inspiration folks and I hope to see it turn into something absolutely amazing              Excellent But would LOVE to share data with desktop version
This app will not save I have to use this for school and it will not save certain bubbles Instperation please fix this           It will not save
Works ok but the new graphics are flat a step down in appearance from the original version a couple years ago Bring back shadows and gradient fills           Fair mind mapper graphics of older version much more attractive
The only thing this app lacks for my needs is the ability to export in vector format so I can use the diagrams easily in other documents like proposals and reports              Needs SVG or EPS export
Great but bugs and crashes need to be fixed moves very slowly and sometimes does not work at all Also cannot be backed up so am wary for using it for its intended purposes Once these are fixed should be fine but dont buy until they are fixed                 Great for school
Ive been completely sold on using outlining programs as part of writing projects ever since I got a great grade on paper when I spent 60 of the time in the outline program and only 40 in MacWrite I had never realized the tangible benefits of organizing my thoughts before putting the metaphorical pen to paper Ive gone through them all I like Inspiration on the PC Its largely marketed to the education market but I use it for my general writing and thinking When I got my iPad I searched for Inspiration on a whim and was really glad to find it I use it now to organize thoughts and ideas for a number of different projects I work on It has my solid endorsement as a key tool for effective writing Its also a really good tool for listing thoughts and helping to organize and document them                 Solid Outlining Program for Thinking and Writing
Inspiration Maps is touted as a product that can be used with their desktop application called Inspiration For many people this will be important because mind mapping is generally a way of brainstorming for a presentation or written paper that is most likely to be finalized on a desktop or laptop computer The rub here is that the desktop application at least for Mac is about as unstable an application as you can get It freezes crashes and even deletes work that has been previously saved when it automatically attempts to reopen crashed files Over the course of the last year I have intermittently tried everything including reinstalling it repurchasing it and even installing it on a brand new machine and it freezes and crashes every 10 or 15 minutes Others are reporting the same experience Thus if you have in mind to capture those fleeting inspirations on the iPad and then work with them on your laptop or desktop you should consider a product that has a usable desktoplaptop counterpart Inspiration for Mac is a very bad joke and any claims that you can work this way are disingenuous     Dont try to use with desktop version
Im highly visual and standard outline form does nothing for me Ive spent two days creating my five year plan and finally it all makes sense This is great and easy and simple and effective                 I like this a lot
Ive used inspiration since 7th grade Im now in college So happy this company is alive and kicking Especially for Mac people I am using the Mac app and this iPad app To be honest the app on my computer is for more professional detail oriented projects This app on my iPad is more for onthefly note takingconcept mapping for me I am IN LOVE WITH THIS To use concept mapping on a large screen iPad and have everything just simply work is awesome They kinda have the same model as apple the simplicity is the first thing you notice but if you take a little time to use it and tinker around you can see its a powerhouse Its so simple to use Its amazing what you can do with a simple finger tap You can do everything that you can do on the computer app Its just better designed for the iPadtouch gestures And it looks prettier and more clean than their desktop app I paid 40 for it Im kicking myself now since this app basically is being used by me more At least I can upload this to inspiration app 91 on my Mac and work on it Love it guys Keep up the good work No ads no crashes on iPad 1st gen 511 And I cant imagine how this looks on the retina display Devs Please dont change the user interface or graphics Its simplicity on the outside is excellent                 FINALLY
Good note tacking app                 Helpful
Have been using Inspiration on my Macs through 3 versions Love using it on my iPad even more The layouts arrows color gradients etc are playful beautiful I have been using it design a presentation for a gallery exhibit I plan to use the png pdf formats as content for the slide show loop However when I export to 91 all the content remains but the layout reverts to ordinary straight arrows the gradient fills disappear and the colors change My diagram is pretty long so shift between 27 iMac iPad Its just as easy to work on iPad despite difference in screen size Almost easier because I can access fonts more quickly without scrolling through 100s of fonts in 91 to get to one I want even withs preferences set I do love the iPad version and would assign 5 if it imported into 91 with same characteristics Inspiration do you plan to update 91 to include the features in iPad Maps Although I teach design in higher education the appearance seems more playfully related to your huge market of grade schoolers etc              Love Inspiration Maps on iPad
My students and I have been waiting for the iPad Inspiration app and its finally here We love the ease of it and how it is so much like the Inspiration Mac and Windows programs Please fix one feature naming the document outline or diagram When you click on the title untitled you cant see the title to delete what is there and rename it You are writing blind Otherwise this is a great organizational app for all students especially my speechlanguage clients              Love Inspiration Apps
I would just like to suggest an easier way to select multiple bubbles I get very agitated when I try to select a huge number of bubbles and then suddenly it makes me edit the text and then I lose all my previously selected bubbles therefore having to start all over in selecting again Id make this five stars if you made an update with a WAY easier way to select a huge multiple of bubbles              I would like to suggest a feature in the next update
This app is excellent It is without question the best concept mapping app in the store Its single glaring drawback is that awful icon I held off on buying it for over a month because of how dissonant that icon is within the overall iPad aesthetic and I still have to hold my nose every time i look at it on my screen Once Im past that icon and into the app though all is well              Dont let the icon fool you
Thank you I have been a loyal Inspiration educational user since the 10 version targeted toward businesses I have tried and wasted money on Inspiration wannabes looking for a replacement in my iPad world over the last 2 years I say better late then never The power of Inspiration for students is the ability to turn their visual into an organized plan and viceversa and that feature is alive a well here After putting it through a few tests the 2 environments worked seamlessly I can still add my own pictures for symbols The other element needed and is working great is the notes feature for each symbol that feeds well into the outline Im also impressed with the onboard templates Lots of great ones students can use as studylearning tools I also enjoy the clean intuitive interface The reviewer giving Inspiration 1 star solely because it wasnt compatible with the computer version and cited that Apple wouldnt do that didnt mention GarageBand and iMovie I cant send unfinished projects to my Mac to work on and it wasnt always seamless to start with the others I am just very thankful you have delivered a iPad ready product Most end users probably wont need or have the computer version to care This is a beautiful start If There is ever cross platform in the future its just the cherry on the top for loyal Inspiration users Well worth the 1499 I will be looking at volume purchase for our school making it even more affordable Inspiration has kept the elements that have made it a cornerstone educational tool for over 20 years The mobility of Inspiration on the iPad will get students inspiring and organizing everywhere I for 1 am excited you didnt wait for cross compatibility Ive been waiting long enough Thank you Next I want kidspiration Lisa Pospishil Assistive technology specialist                 Finally Bravo
Fantastic App I love the ability to add images to the mind map instead of having to use boring map objects like ovals or rectangles I am making a workout map that shows a picture of the area of the body being targeted and images of each individual exercises for that targeted area One other nice feature is the ability to resize images by pinching them I would like the ability to add hyperlinks to objects without showing the URL on the map I would also like to add music to maps to get me in the right mind set to perform the steps in the map The first step in doing anything is usually the hardest So anything to help motivate me would be great especially considering this is an inspirational app Thanks for creating this appit is what I have been looking for                 Love the use of images as mind map objects
