Infuse - The Beautiful Way to Watch Videos

Plays MKV and almost any video file but there is no options for buffering to improve streaming quality so beware with streaming from NAS over wifi it can get very choppy Audio support is terrible the folder browser basically does not see or recognize my audio files If it was 499 or less it would still earn only 3 stars        Somewhat effective overpriced

Lots of features easy to use beautiful UI and the ability to play most any format makes Infuse 1 in my book                 Great app keeps getting better

This sorts files in its own sorta way with no such reason Also I paid the 10 to play this on my iPhone 6 Plus and it worked nice while at home on my internal network But once I left my home and I connected to my VPN to my home network via the same iPhone 6 Plus I could no longer connect or see my share drives I quickly set up PLEX Server on my home Media Server and downloaded their app for the iPhone 6 Plus and all worked fine with or with out being connected to my Home VPN on the phone And I only paid the onetime fee of 499 I liked this apps layout and all but it just does not work without being on your home network Maybe theyll later post remote port settings for this app to be used with the app but for now this is not what you want to use when not at home        Not worth the 10

There is so much to like about this app but unfortunately it suffers from bugs The latest the app arbitrarily sorts files without regard to their names There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the order in which files are sorted Even my DOS 31 computer from 1985 could sort filenames alphabetically Firecore support wont acknowledge the bug and instead recommends that I rename all of my files to accommodate a metadata feature of the program a feature Im not even trying to use All I want is for season three episode one of a program to be listed before season seven episode six With the current bug in the program this isnt possible Firecore support cant or wont help That error renders this app useless for accessing media libraries     Poor support

I downloaded it and tried about six different apps including paid versions to try and get one that will play audio of the MKV files that I have downloaded This program and VLC were the only ones I have found so far that can stream and download it MKV files with some of the Dolby audio from my NAS                 Found a player

Used to work great but then stopped working many versions ago     Junk software not worth buying

I got this app to sync to chromecast or AppleTV in order to do which you have to pay 10 to upgrade to pro without trial period First attempt streamed direct from local HD airport time capsule long pulses every few minutes on chromecast and unable to load on Apple TV Second attempt downloaded media to idevice with this app before connecting to Chromecast and Apple TV with identical outcome In addition just to dive into subfolders and browsing through media libraries will slow to a coma 12 star for great media information search and match to video     dont get it to sync to tv

The latest release is billed as Optimized for iOS9 but there is no option for pop out video This is a musthave feature Please add it in the next release           No Pop Out video

Updated 992015 For several months I got away from watching movies Then I downloaded VNC I watched a movie but wondered why I couldnt find the subtitles Then I realized Im using the wrong player I need to use Infuse I am so thrilled to be back with Infuse It effortlessly finds and displays subtitles OH And they added volume boost My iPad Air has little speakers A poor match for my older ears Now I can turn the sound way up Boy how I appreciate people who make world class software There should be a way for me to just donate money to Infuse or something I think Ill go look to see if theres an inapp addon I can buy to help support a great software company Updated 11172014 Imagine controls that are easier to use than you imagine Right They are I watch all movies with text captions Infuse makes it trivial to add captioning Everything just works seamlessly This has all the functionality and beauty that marks an Apple product What a great addition to any iPad or I suppose it works on an iPhone I use it on my iPad Air If I could buy it again I would Updated 7272014 It has been several months Im still in love Just rush out and buy it Earlier review around 312014 The Infuse video player is as beautiful as if Apple had written it Actually when I think of iOSs 7 unpleasantness of hiding all buttons so they blend with andor look like text this is probably more beautiful than Apple would have built today In addition it has the simple elegance Apple brings to their apps Smooth fast flexible Huge power hiding in an innocent interface Oddly at one point Infuse asked me for money It would not play a certain movie until I paid So I took its offer to pay 7 and bought the upgrade I did not then and do not now know why it wanted to extort this money There was no explanation Nonetheless thats less money than I would waste on a donut and a slurpee so I didnt mind the expense Eben Visher                 Remarkable especially compared to competition

I bought this app to stream movies from my NAS to my iPads I upgraded to Pro to gain access to AC3 movies It works beautifully I even use AirPlay to watch them on my tv thru Apple TV No glitches whatsoever There are a few issues with metadata as mentioned in some other reviews but I just bypassed that by going into settings and having filenames shown Now my movies and tv shows are listed by the filenames that I have given them Watching movies and videos was my goal not looking for an app to provide metadata Its worth 5 stars to me but since there are some issues w metadata and naming I gave only 4 I LOVE THIS APP              Definitely Worth 10

I just happened across thid app not long ago I dont know how it does what it does or knows what it knows but it works amazingly well It fits right in with our NAS server and home network but also pulls media info off the web including on stuff that we load onto the hard drives manually from pretty much any source                 Pleasant surprise
