I live outside the state and have been reading the Indy Star mainly to keep me up to date with the pacers colts and hoosiers The amount of articles published is fantastic for a local news source I love that the content downloads so I dont need web access to read it Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is sometimes the app crashes or is buggy Indy Transplant

After many tries I have discovered that the Indy Star web site is not optimized for an IPhone therefore In order to pay your bill you must use a computer Some functions work but many others do not The app is OK if you want to read a few news articles but you cannot view your account information with it Major problems using app with IPhone

The Star gives me news to use to guide my day weather to know to if I should put on long johns or carry an umbrella and obituaries to make certain I didnt pass in the night If Im not in the Obits I read the comics to help me get over the news I follow Swarens Tully and Bobby King fairly closely but have a decent respect for all the writers I wish it were easier to share on Twitter I Start My Day With The Star

Too many ultra frivolous BREAKING NEWS notifications Waaayyyy too many media outlets not just Indy Star are guilty of this I mean just today I received like 4 Breaking News notifications and none of them were important or relevant to anyone I wanna say 3 of them were about an IU Basketball player possessing some weed another one was about an elderly couple attacked thats not breaking news So I have disabled notifications for now News outlets have no respect for journalism anymore A very poor trend Irrelevant breaking news alerts
