Has not worked in forever Ive unplugged reset deleted and redownloaded this app and monitor but it still wont work When it works its 5starsunfortunately thats not very often though     Poor

Philips has not kept up with necessary security updates As of April 2014 the Insight cameras no longer connect to Dropbox The cameras are now useless as you cannot save and watch recorded video of your motionsound alerts     Lacks SupportUpdates

This appcamera combo is great when it works Ive got it mounted above the crib in babys room so you barely even notice it when youre in the room and night vision is great However the most recent update has led to constant crashing for both my wife and I on 5ss The app wont open at all It loads for a moment and then shuts off I will update my review when this is fixed     Great when it works

Like most other reviews here this camera used to work Then after a firmware update and stumbling across a software update to the app Philips did not push to the App Store as an actual update this camera mysteriously does not work Ive spent hours of my time trying to hard reset and uninstall all of the software and reinstall to no avail Very disappointed in the product and app Shame on you guys at Philips     Used to work now it doesnt

I have use this product for about one week on iPad and iPhone version 230 and I am very satisfied despite its quirks which I will list here in hopes that they will be fixed in a future version iPhoneiPad follows the default screen lock time Please add the ability to keep app open indefinitely like other videoplaying apps Night Vision mode only work for 10 minutes at a time and delivers annoying messages before and after entering Night Vision mode If it is night time I will need to use it from sundown until sunup This has been the most annoying bug of all iPhone version has the ability to click a microphone icon and speak through the camera unit The iPad has the same icon but it doesnt seem to work It is not clear how to enter full screen mode in the iPad version Random taps on the screen seem to activate it Not really clear on what Always Listening mode means Must quit app and relaunch each time device is put to sleep It either freezes or crashes otherwise Despite these annoying and fixable problems I would recommend this product The video quality is just SD not HD despite the name of the product but you can very easily see enough detail to know if your baby is asleepawakemovingmissingin distress I havent tried to capture a picture or video but I would prefer a better camera even the iPhone camera for that              Completely adequate can be improved with software

When we first started using the cameras they were pretty good Occasional crashes but still useable After the latest updates they are now completely useless Unplugging the camera and plugging back in works for a few minutes then the app crashes and you cannot get streaming back Very disappointing     Worse than ever

We have been using this system app for a year now The cameras work terrifically the app is easy enough to use however the online aspect is lacking The live streaming frequently goes offline the app will crash Sometimes the streaming will work on on device but not another We have been fairly satisfied with this as it does work I would be apt to give it more stars if it didnt go offline so often I actually bought a different baby monitor today since this app has become increasingly undependable for monitoring Should the developers improve streaming function fix the glitches itll be a 5 star app for sure Until then though we are switching to another monitor           Good But Needs Improvement

Update it crashes upon launching the app more than ever The app and camera are awful Do not use or purchase This is not hyperbole this app is awful It crashes within seconds of attempting to access the live streaming If Philips offers a monitor update and the app live streaming stops working it is not worth using with the hope the product will work when you want it to The design is good but it simply doesnt work on the iPhone5 Avoid it and the hassles Philips should be embarrassed that this made it through their QA process     Do not buy the monitor or use this app

This was one of the worst purchases we have ever made at an Apple Store This device does not work It is difficult to connected to a very good WiFi Not reliable Buyer beware do not buy this device     Terrible Dont Buy

Great idea bad implementation The UI isnt very intuitive and features seem to lock up or not respond often I have to close the app and remove it from multitask to get things to start working again        Really clunky

Please please UPDATE this app I find it to be very useful when it works Which has been less than usual these past few days since writing this review the app has yet to work properly Not only am I stuck with an expensive camera Im out of pocket for the upgrade price May I say to those responsible for customer satisfactionconsumer reviews can have an ugly impact on sales     Buyer Beware

After last update it is slower goes offline and doesnt save photos if alerts I have checked all settings and there is no reason for it not functioning           App needs work

It has a few nice featuresif it worked Ive given this system two years of wasted time All of the updates along the way have not improved Maybe even worse One of my cameras no longer works Response on app is frustratingly slow Just replaced w Dropcam system which is considerable improvement already Apple Store no longer carries InSight system This is the second Philips item purchased in my lifetime Both have failed miserably First being a CD recorder years back that was equally unreliable and quit working altogether Ill never buy another Philips product again     A joke a toy waste of money

I was so excited to get this product I am a firm believer in Philips products and I thought this wouldnt be an exception The idea of connecting through wifi made it seem impossible to miss any activity weather I was outside or on the go Unfortunately from the first night using it I was hugely let down First and foremost the most common time I need this monitor is when I am sleeping at night and want to be awakened should my little peanut need me or heaven forbid suffocate in her crib I thought the always listening feature meant just that but after 610 minutes it goes into sleep mode and essentially stops listening this may be the worst feature of this device whats the point of having a monitor Next the appdevice sync never seems to stick I found myself waking every few nights to find it had come un synced and Id have to go into the babies room for 20 minutes trying to get it to resync certainly makes for sleepness nights Then I just became paranoid that I couldnt trust the camera its always delayed or cant pick up the connection etc What should have been a dream is a nightmare I ended up purchasing a motorola video monitor for about 40 less and have been very pleased     Sadly disappointed

The concept is great If the app would open this device would be awesome Please work on your software so we can use your hardware I need to reset the app or camera once a week        Unusable half of the time

The app was previously tolerable with occasional crashes Since updating to iOS 8 and iPhone 6 the app is essentially unusable It consistently crashes within a minute or two of launch This would be a big deal with any app but when you are using it to monitor your childs safety it is no laughing matter Philips needs to correct the problem immediately or Ill be switching products     Unstable and unusable

The app is currently broken Trying to stream video from a local camera and phone connected to the same wifi connection crashes the app every time Because this is an in home device that is how it is being used for 95 of users A real shame However when I connect from a cellular connection it works fine The camera itself has lots of bells and whistle and all the features you could hope for from a baby monitor Just wish PhillipsWOOX would fix the app already     Flawed Software

I was for the most part happy with the video camera we purchased recently until this last update The video is a bit grainy but it does the job The feed itself is kind of wonky in that you have to wait a few seconds for it to switch to a night time mode The audio is great except it cuts off after a certain point with this new update I only use this app at night when the baby sleeps as a monitor so for it to cut off is a huge problem Before the update it would stream through the night and was great Please release another update very soon fixing this issue I would be happy if I could roll back to the last release I wish I had read the reviews first before updating It also took me several times to get it to finally connect after the updates        Disappointed in update

This is the worst purchase I can remember making Shame on Philips for billing something so unreliable as a monitor it monitors nothing it crashes and times out so often And everyone has the same issues and Philips still doesnt fix them The shocking indifference this company shows with something important as a device sold to MONITOR a BABY is really disappointing and telling I will never buy another Philips product again nor will I ever trust this one Shame on Philips     Never again will I buy another philips product

When I first got it 3 years ago it worked awesome The new version crashes all the time and the night vision only stay on for 10 mins Needs to be unlimited        Used to be great

Both the app and webview for this camera are just awful I can rarely get it to stream video for longer than a few minutes and even at that the noise will cut in and out It is horrible at maintaining a connection to the camera I know its not my WiFi connection bc I have a different brand camera dropcam that works flawlessly Do not waste your money on this product Extremely inconsistent and should not be trusted with something as precious as the monitoring of your child Very disappointed     Rarely works

Why does Philips leave us in the dark regarding updates to this app I recently stumbled upon the updated version 29 from their partner company WOOX Innovations The update solves a lot of bugs It looks like Philips quit supporting this app but forgot to notify its customers to switch to the new app           Update to the WOOX Innovations version

Unfortunately most of the poor reports are quite right I own two monitors because I liked the idea that they also measure the temperature and they claim HD But the app works 1 of 3 times mostly it claimes that all cameras are offline It takes ages to connect if they are not And since the Heartbleed bug the support for Dropbox has been cancelled so you receive warnings but cannot see anything because the clips are not stored anymore and the cameras that just sent an alarm are offline     One of the poorest apps and no support

I bought this as a security camera in the hopes that the motion sensor would be a great alert system for me The problem is the motion sensor fails to work In fact it never works Even the sound sensor fails to work constantly This is nothing more than a glorified WebCam that works in a slipshod manner     Needs serious improvement

Stop and read before you purchase I bought a Phillips Insight camera as a security measure Easy to set up and to top it off pictures and video were sent to my Dropbox account Everything worked great for over a year Recently the app was updated and since then I have not been able to playback alerts be they audio or video It no longer sends files to my Dropbox account Tech support is useless I tried one camera on my sisters network to see if I would be able to playback alerts I received It did not work My network is not the problem It is the app Do not purchase this camera until this app it updated It has not been updated in a long time I do not recommend this product now     Stop
