You lost a customer I like the site and articles I dont mind adsas long as they arent playing AUDIO Seriously I cant read an article without audio adverts in the background its unusable and had been uninstalled If you like listening to fast and furious commercials while reading an article you will love this app If you like scrolling through articles only to have a pop up video again with audio you will also like this app     Ads

Ive since uninstalled since the advertisements seem to pop up on their own regardless if you click on them or not Other than that its very informative Works well enough        Stop forcing your ads

This was a great app but recently whenever I am listening to music and try and surf it the stupid new video ads cause my music to stop playing Please fix this I deleted it finally cause I cant stand this     Stops my Music Playing

Ads are easier to click then the rest of the app Simple scrolling forces ad clicks Ads randomly play audio in the background without being clicked Time to be deleted     Click bait

I love the content and the app works great for the most part which would normally be a 4 star review but when my iphone starts blaring Vin Diesels voice from a Fast and the Furious ad in the middle of class during my professors lecture just because I opened the app didnt even click any articles or scroll through them then I feel the need to give you a 2 star review I never even give reviews Step it up IGN        Really

Uninstalled after pop up video ads of the scorch trials invaded the screen 5 times in one minute Shame on you ign     Pop up adsUninstall

The autoplay audio ads are horrendously annoying Cant even stand to open the app anymore If this is changed Ill start using it again Until then Im out     Audio ads are a deal breaker

Ads are way too invasive now not to mention the new click bait ads at the bottom of the articles that are beginning to get too racy Video ads now periodically start playing in the background even if the phone is on mute and sometimes cant be turned off or turned down Also I dont need those bull crap articles with titles like 10 selfies that are too embarrassing to show or you wont believe what she wore to work I dont need that crap showing up on my phone while Im at work or in public when I just want to read an article related to games or comics The old ads never bothered me but now its getting bad     Ads are too invasive now and annoying

So now the app now plays spam ads videos while you scroll though the feed section why do they force you to watch ads     Spam

I generally love IGNs app but they recently have had tons of video ads that autoplay when you start to scroll through stories Do you know how annoying it is to be interrupted by Vin Diesel saying hold on every time you try to read a news article If this were fixed so would my opinion     The worst video ads

This app is pure garbage now I tolerated the ads but now that they automatically play videos WITH audio when my phone is silenced is unacceptable Their app like their publication as a whole has gotten worse     Awful

So IGN is my favorite video game news site And the app was great But recently they started to put up these video advertisements that automatically play and I cant stand them I dont mind ads because everyone needs revenue but I hate that they automatically start and theyre not muted This is a pet peeve of mine and thats why theyre getting a low review Fix it and Ill change my review        Great site but

The degree to which I hate autoplaying advertisements overshadows interesting content and personalities I truly like The ads are so bad that Im done using IGN to keep up with games     IGN taught me something about myself

Dear IGN if you keep auto playing crappy ads as soon as I open the app and on every article ads which hijack my phones speakers regardless if I have it muted or on do not disturb I will delete your app from my phone Forever And I will create a hateful hashtag that will gain steam the world round And I will make cookies and pies and delicious breads for Anonymous hoping their love of baked goods is strong enough to coerce them into targeting you next and destroying you     Horrible ad autoplay

Slow load times regardless of wifi speed or 4g connection Crashing constantly while loading articles Videos constant replaying ads without ever starting the video Ads play alone and loud Ads start a video Its went from below average to crap     Loading ruins it Ads killed it

Ads are getting worse in the app First it was ads placed in a position that would make it too likely to accidentally click Now ads with sound just start with no reason Deleting the app now     Too many ads

I really enjoy their content on the web but the ads on the app have basically rendered the app unusable Ive had to delete it Just cruising through the menu and the App Store or a Maze Runner preview will repeatedly and obnoxiously open every few seconds I get the need for ads but they should moderate the interactivity     Horrible Ads

This app used to be my go to for all my gaming and film news for the last two and a half years Over the last year though this sit and its journalist have devolved into hired guns for the highest bidders They no longer report the new or review games honestly It all started a last year when Ryan Macaffrey gave a disgusting review of Alien Isolation giving it a 45 saying the game was too long too hard and the Alien was too unpredictable seriously give me a break with the carbon copy of the same game every year that we have been getting for the last 5 to 7 years youd think a journalist would appreciate a real high quality game But Alien wasnt created by EA Activision or Bungie so its not going to get a fair shake The backlash from this terrible review even started a new show on IGN called review discussions where 5 grown men sit around a table and try and justify their terrible opinion Its seriously hard to watch because instead of admitting their wrong its like watching a news outlet try and spin negative news to make themselves look good Shortly there after Id say 5 or 6 of their best journalist led to form their own YouTube channel Because they wanted more creative freedom and wanted to report the news they wanted to report Then the fiasco that was Destiny happened and IGN must have been getting checks from them daily because thats the only way it make since for them to such positive coverage to such a repetitive game From not covering the lawsuits about the game story being ripped apart souly to make more money on DLC and Martin ODonnell being released for disagreeing with the changes They took the complete game and ripped out 3 DLC packs to make another 80 off each gamer who purchased their game IGN did nothing to cover this blatant money grab by Bungie They did nothing How can you call yourself a news outlet when you dont report the news You cant believe anything that comes from this site because you never know who is paying for those words or who didnt pay for a good review Their latest misstep is they have created auto playing ads that appear everywhere and their is no stopping it unless you go prime and pay them 5 a month to disable their ads The problem with these ads is that instead of it being a text based and reading mostly app every article now has a video play and if your not careful will chew through your data plan This app has become the lowest common denominator in the gaming community it has transcended to the likes of honey boo boo the kardashians or any other low life reality tv show If you take anything from this stay informed and dont believe everything you see hear or read on this app their not out for you the consumer their out to make money from the highest bidder which definitely isnt you or me They will say what ever they are paid to say regardless of it honestly     Dishonest Journalism

This app is great its helping me chose what games to get and what console to get It gives you all the information you need to look for gamesmoviesTv showstrailersreviews This is just an overall great app                 THIS APP IS AWSOME

Scenario Youre in a boring class and want to check Destiny 20 patch notes You trust IGN as your goto gaming news resource and you are confident they will have this article on top You know IGN now has ads that auto play so you mute your phone before opening it But IGN doesnt care IGN auto plays anyway with the sound blaring at full volume because you trusted IGN to respect your decision to silence your phone So now all 60 people are looking at you for disturbing class while you are fast and furiously trying to exit the app All you wanted was to know if your ghally was still OP or not Now you look like an idiot Now you no longer respect IGN Now you go to Kotaku for all your gaming news due to IGNs choice to be a boondoggle and ruin your day You brought this upon yourself IGN WhatsGoodIGN        Remove the intrusive ads

I love reading IGN but theyve started auto playing video ads in the middle of the article list This makes it unusable in public and irritating the rest of the time I dont mind ads but automatically playing noisy content is unacceptable Ill just have to find a different gaming news service     Love IGN but the app is now unusable

Every time I get on the app I get this loud audio and nothing to back it up There is no video playing but I can tell its an ad Even though I have ign prime there are still ads on the app Which is annoying Sometimes when I close the app audio will continue playing        Annoying feats

Ive always enjoyed the app but now every time I open an article a video ad embedded in the article starts to play To make matters worse its always the same one I dont want to have to mute my phone in order to read articles without being forced to listen to ads Fix this and Ill go back to a 5star rating        Autoplaying ads

This app has advertisements videos that just start playing full volume on your phone when you are trying to read You dont even get a choice So if you are on a small data plan you get to pay to watch and hear these ads you dont even want too     Data Killer

I love me some ign I use this app every single day and its easily my favorite way to keep up on gaming But with the addition of this furious7 advertisement I find myself frustrated when it auto plays loudly I cant very well read any articles in class or at work if my phones going to blow up If you guys intend on adding more auto play video adds Im out                 I love ign but adds are crossing the line

I used to really enjoy this app until it began constantly playing a Furious 7 ad over top of everything Deleting the app right now     Annoying ADs

Content is still pretty good However the app now newly autoplays ad content and overrides the device volume setting It seems to happen independent of actually clicking an ad so it is unpredictable and makes the app unusable in most settings     Ad autoplay kills it

App does what its suppose to do Recent update included auto play ads I could live with it if I could control the volume but even after stopping the ad it will start again as you scroll or as you come back to the main page     Had to uninstall
