But what if you could discretely send an instant message for help and let someone know where you are?
 
Peace of mind is on the way with a new application that provides a rescue `flare`.  iFlare is a unique application that at the touch of a button, sends your loved ones  a `flare` with a map of your location and a message.
 
Users pre-designate contacts from their address book to whom a flare will be sent, with a message such as `help!` or `in trouble`. At the touch of a button, the message is sent to the designated contacts with a map of the users exact location.
 
Users can customise their own messages and also designate different contacts for different flares. There are all sorts of reasons you may need to flare - trapped on a bad date wishing you could get out - send your best friend the `bad date` rescue flare!
 
The message is free between iFlare users (or Flarey`s as we like to call them).  All the users need is an iPhone.  If your pre-designated contact does not have iFlare, the message will be delivered as a text message and standard provider costs will apply.
