iDatacenter is an app that gives you the power to administer you virtual datacenter from anywhere, using just your iPad. You can follow vital statistics on a virtual machine, a physical host or an entire ...
I was able to log into this app once just after initial installation After that it just does nothing after I login I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing A complete waste of money I think I was ripped off     Worked once
Never loads the entire environment Contacted the dev for a refund with no response We have over 80 hosts and 800 vms Doesnt show anywhere close to the whole environment Useful if you want to drain your battery while waiting for the update to finish Dont buy unless you have a tiny environment     Weak
Good application but we have a medium sized environment and seems that ever sense the update it will never loads The app just spins I also sent email to developer and have gotten zero response This product seemed ok until after the upgrade Please fix           Great App
Disclaimer Im not a server admin I just like to play around with virtualization I was running ESXi in a virtual machine so am probably not in a position to appreciate all the features of iDatacenter What is displayed is pretty slick I saw the statistics and log messages automatically updating as I made changes in vSphere Client However at least with the free ESXi license you cant make any changes the info is read only I was also expecting some sort of remote console to running VMs but didnt find one Im not sure if this is a VMware or iDatacenter limitation Given the limitations this app seems more of a monitoring tool a mobile control center           Slick but limited functionality
Very cool app Would like to see many more features for this price such as 1 Status pane that updates similar to vSphere client 2 Ability to vMotion and vStorage 3 More detailed summary windows to include IP etc 4 VM settings modification I could think of more but I think these features would help justify spending 13 for a management app                 Not worth 13 yet
Not updated in a whole year the developer is using an open sourced project to make money on the app store and does not even maintain it Crashes on start useless Should be retired from the app store Try iVMControl instead it is on a different level     Piece of crap
iDatacenter allows complete management of the VMware vSphere environment from your iPad wherever you may be After configuring a VPN connection and starting it the iDatacenter app asks for the vCenter server name and your credentials for connecting to the server Once there browse the datacenter containers created in VMs and Templates and get useful information on your cluster hosts datastores and guests vMotion Storage vMotion and guest management are all built into the app to allow complete control of your vSphere environment right from your iPad Its good stuff and highly recommended                 Excellent tool
Completely stopped working for me with my 35 ESXi servers Now it just crashes after entering login info     Stopped working
Running 2x vSphere Host servers and 1x vCenter v41 Setup was almost too easy Point the App at the vCenter IP enter User and PW done I can see all of our VMs on the 2x Hosts in our Datacenter PLUS I can get memory and CPU statistics by VM or by Host AND I can softhard stop or softhard restart any VM All while working through a VPN on the iPad and using either wifi or 3g cellular Great VMWare remote management App No console access to each VM but at least you can see the status and do some mgmt from a distance We like it for our usage Thanks Jakob btw tech support is via email Not sure where in the world Jakob is but response was usually within 24hours                 Works great on an iPad
Great app for viewing status of Host servers and VMs allows me to migrate guests if needed while on the go Application has been stable and is fast Ive not had any issues with it Ive had some feature suggestions and emailed the developer he has been receptive of the ideas and communicates back                 Works great but needs some features
Great application very useful managing vSphere Just wish there were a smaller version available for iPhone too                 Awesome app
