I love this app              Great app Needs a little work on the scanner

one that will fix the duplication of books and having to reboot the app to get them off one that stops giving me a blank book after saving a new book so many more but who has time to write a book oy and dont get me started with the handy popup tips every time i open the app already read them all a few time and cant find a way to disable them maybe deleting the app will help     how about a new update

I am not happy After upgrading my iPad to 82 I can no longer pull up my library of booksit pulls it up for about two seconds and then goes to a blank gray screen I spent a lot of time loading all this information now I cannot access it     Not happy

I love this appI have over 4000 books categorized in this appbut in the last couple of month when I enter a book and then go to add a cover pic the search always comes up with nothingit doesnt matter what book I enter its always the samecan something be done about this please              Bugs bugs more bugs

I am a teacher and this is really great So helpful to keep track of my library However it can be glitchy and the scanner is not reliable Using manual entry is ok just much more time consuming Overall good just needs some adjusting           Great but

I have used iBookshelf for several years and have a very large book database Over time I have had problems but unlike many other apps my questions about iBookshelf have been responded to quickly and have been resolved Its a wonderful app with great support                 Love this app

I like the app and because of it Im finally completing my household book inventory But it is very quirky and Ive learned not to be surprised at what it does and does not do including the things its supposed to be doing and doesnt           Quirky

Ive just downloaded the app and the only thing I wish it had was my own categories I would like to be able to sort my books in my own way but other than that its awesome              Great one thing missing

Dont waste your money this app is awful Database information is all wrong the few times it could actually find the book I was trying to enter     Waste of money

I have used iBookshelf for years and have found it to be the best such system availablethat is until I added the latest update It is a total mess now The many problems include such things as the ISBN scan rarely works the iPad keyboard covers up the entry screen and when I go into my photo gallery to add a cover only a truncated screen remains Overall it has become so much of a nuisance to use the system that Im not willing to waste time on it When I went to the app support website to look for information it was such a hodgepodge of information for combined apps that I could not discover where to ask for help So is this a review or a slam If they fix the problems that have resulted from the update I will return to loving it Until then it takes more time to use it than I have to give Please please correct the problems or let me go back to he earlier version              Updates made a mess

Tried to use this app to catalog a Boy Scout Merit Badge Book library for my troop The app falls a little short of my needs Would like to alter or add names and input for the various fields enter email addresses and send out electronic reminders from the app Please consider making these changes please        13acs

This was an outstanding app until you had to fix it It does not work as it did and that was pretty darn good Now it is garbage What is this love affair with Bucher on the author line The Title Author Search finds the book and the CORRECT author and a cover photo however when saved Bucher appears dropping this app like a bad habitas the author In some cases the saved file shows unavailable for the cover art yet there it was before the import Also the import cant find books that it should find if the app is going to be of any value which at present it is not Bottom line your meddling turned a very good and useful app into a frustrating and nearly useless database Im currently searching the App Store for a replacement because Im dropping this app like a bad habit Enough is enough     If It Aint Broke Dont Fix It

Ive had no problems with this app since Ive installed it This app is my latest obsession because being the bookworm I am Ive always kept a log of the books Ive readand now I have a fun and easy data base to store it in I also recommend the Irecommend App too it helps with logging in new reads and broadens your world of reading              Love this App

Does not work great consistently One day things scan I quickly and then the next I have to sit forever waiting to add multiple books Freezes often Sometime cant see the title to change it when it comes up wrong If the wrong author comes up you cant change it before you save the book or it wont save Gotta save it then go back and fix the mistakes If you scan multiple books and one of them is a duplicate no matter what answer you give it doesnt go back and let you save the other titles you scan I always have to find something else to scan before it will ask me to save the rest           So so app

Ive been using this app for several years without too many issues However I cant manually add books by name or author Please fix        Cant manually load books

Ok I waited for weeks for the update to correct all the problems When I select the book and author I choose it comes back with 1 still keeps changing author to Bucher 2 still keeps changing the title to another book 3sometimes the title comes back in a foreign language AND still have to type authors first last I have reset shut down and nothing corrects I think they forgot to do the update     Update wasted

I upgraded from Lite due to the constant ad redirections I managed to enter two books before it stopped allowing me to save new entries The two entries I did manage to add in before glitch are show up as the same book until I click around between sort types I spent 2 two enter two items and have under a minute of a working app     Terrible

Used to work in iPad version Now it doesnt work at all Can scroll thru book covers but cannot bring up the main screen or menu and so cannot enter any new data Has become worthless and should be withdrawn     Totally Broken

The scanner sometimes scans a total different book Not being able to sync with other devices will make me look for another app that can make the same things but with the sync Another thing I dont like is that you cant see the title while entering it manually and editing it is very annoying Not what I expected        Not what I expected

Ive been searching for an easy way to organize my personal library and now Ive found it                 Best app

Got this app to catalog my classroom library 700 books I truly didnt expect much but I am so pleased The bar code scanner with a few exceptions worked very well There were some books that came up as unknown These and my older books without a bar code were easily entered manually using the ISBN or title In just a few days I had my entire library done using my iPhone The file is now on my desktop and I printed a hard copy by genre and by title that I keep on a bookshelf Now my students and I know exactly what books I have                 Wow

Such any easy app for both tracking my wish list and my current library bar code scan is great                 Great App

I have been using several months and its great You need to check out all the different functions Just play with it                 This is a great app

Every time I open the app the database is messed up for a self appointed best book collecting of the appstore it really needs some work     Needs serious work

I found the ISBN barcode scan and excel export very useful           Nice app

Since last update there is a problem when inputting titles I select a title to add to my bookshelf and it brings in a different book It appears that it takes the book next to the one you select        Picks up wrong title

Constantly crashed couldnt scan the barcodes couldnt find book covers if I needed to type I couldnt see what I was typing Just terrible     Terrible Quality in Every way

I spent 2 hours scanningloading 20 books It said it was searching 15 databases but still it couldnt find titleinformation on VERY common books I could have researched and handwritten a database quicker It never did find 10 books     Doesnt Work

Used to love this app but its a mess now Cannot get the search to work nothing more frustrating Crap     Im so sad

This program does all I wanted it to do It still crashes once in a while but does a great job of adding series of books by same author Backup to drop box works well Update no more crashes              Very good app

This app works really well for what I need but it could use a few improvements It crashes fairly often and I constantly have to take pictures of some of my books to get a cover photo The databases used to pull information from could definitely be expanded There are so many good sources out there           Ibookshelf

It isnt clear whether in the future I would be able to enter a backup csv file directly from an email attachment When you type or edit a book title theres no display of what youre typing until you hit done The vast majority of my books require manual input and have no cover illustrations available The cover photos which appear in the carousel view are all very low resolution even if you take the photo yourself The carousel view is annoying and easily takes over the screen while youre trying to scan There are no publisher or date fields Some options are cryptically labeled Considering the obstacles to trying to add cover art Apple Numbers would work far better and would be automatically backed up     A lot of negatives

Post update this app crashes after upgrading database every time This update has rendered iBookshelf unusable on my iPad 2     Dont do this update

I am in the process of scanning in a couple thousand books Overall the app has worked pretty good but I have had a few issues with it Ive learned not to scan in more than 5 or 6 books at time even though the batch scanning appears to support many more Occasionally as in 3 times out of dozens the batch scanning process screws up and you lose all your saved scans That was annoying Also when you encounter a duplicate book a few times it wouldnt let me skip past that to the next scanned bar code so I would have to cancel and then rescan the remaining codes And the last issue I encountered the app appeared to crash completely and then when I restarted it it said upgrading database and from what I could tell it lost the last several books I had scanned Thats annoying because I am sorting these books into boxes by author and I had no way to figure out which were the latest ones scanned Having said all of that I still like the app I just dont trust it Every time I am done doing a large batch of scanning I email myself a copy of the database and then verify that I can open the list in excel I really like that its been good for finding any book I can scan the bar codes on and for the most part it finds any older book that has an ISBN number Ive only had about 1 fail to be found and those were all very old books              Nice app but had some issues

I did finally finish entering all 583 of my books It has functionality in that you can scan the ISBN barcode on the back of your books Or you can enter in the barcode independently However after I got my books all entered it stopped working and I have not been able to get any response from the author I can scan books but it wont save them It does have the ability to back up the entire thing to an XL file which is great        works sometimes

Overall handy app I dont need a lot of bells and whistles App comes in handy for checking inventory lending and making wish list              Useful Convenient

It just doesnt work The app opens to the book covers and there is no way to access the database of books     Dont pay for this app

For the most part this app is pretty dope but it crashes more than average              Ok

I purchased this app for my classroom library It did not recognize many of the barcode scans and many of the entries turned up empty When this happened I had no way of deleting them if there is a way I could not find it     Not efficient

Update 112015 update working fine on iPad AiriOS 8 I am enjoying this app very much Discrete use of the collections add new dimensions of keeping track of what you have read and want to read Plenty of attributes to use or not use Scanning works great on an iPhone 4S with iOS 6 Wish transfer to my main library on my iPad 511 were simpler but Dropbox works well for both A few stability problems here and there but the database has never lost info This is a pleasure to use                 Fun for a dedicated reader

I just wanted an app to put my books in a database Entering with the barcode scanner works 75 of the time but on older books with no barcodes the titleauthor search doesnt work at all The cover might come up different as well and the look up cover function never shows any results This app should be free for the amount of bugs and hassle        Plagued with bugs and just doesnt work in places

Why do I update something that was working just fine Crash crash crash Please fix it     Horrible update
