Tried for 2 hours to make this app work with openaprs It never communicated properly Frequently crashed and closed app Deleted the app in hopes of a better version     Needs some work

Check the openaprs website there is a difference between activation and verification You must go through the verification process to beacon positions from this app           Activation vs Verification

For the people complaining about verification the validation code has to be transmitted over air to N6NAR like the directions say If you have not paid for the equipment then pay for the verification easy enough Now for the app wish it would beacon automatically in the background Get what you pay for and free is always in my budget GREAT APP does what it says           OK Could Be Better

This is a nice app easy to use Your position can only be updated with a manual action If it supported automatic periodic beaconing and IOS 4 multitasking it would be awesome           Nice app missing periodic beaconing

I was able to register with OpenAPRS fine and transmit the message to N6NAR with no problems I received an almost immediate reply However I looked at the apps settings in iOS and my password was there in clear text and not masked So I deleted the app immediately        Password in the Clear

App developer was great in helping me get set up issue was mine not the apps Very handy program and cant beat the price                 Works fine

I had better luck with Pocket Packet and OpenAPRS     Terrible

Great little app I was registered and up and running in less than five minutes and viewing the APRS activity in my area on my iTouch via WiFi No it doesnt have tons of fancy functionality but heyits FREE I agree a good enhancement would be to reduce the size of the bubbles which take a lot of space on the map depending on the zoom level Developers web site has good information and sounds like enhancements will be coming              Remember its FREE

The ui sometimes is very slow even on my wifi from home It needs messaging features so that I can communicate to nodes        Works well but needs features

I verified my account at openaprsnet but it still reports Im not verified Cant scroll the account signup window when using Safari so you have to find a computer with Firefox or Chrome installed                 App works well openaprsnet is a pain

Got connected to OpenAPRS fine The app however doesnt like you to scroll around the map It jumps all over the place Buttons are not identically sized I would not recommend this app     Very rough app

This app is not free It says to send an aprs message to N6NAR and that call sign is not even in the APRS data base Or you can send a donation It is a complicated mess trying to activate it I finally deleted it I do not recommend it     iAPRS

Useful to monitor only which is fine but meant to be more Does not link properly with openaprs a dependent account Always says openaprs acct is unverified even when it very well is I understand the difference between active and verified To bad Would be a great app if worked as intended        Does not work

Like others I cannot get this App to work It did not display my location and did not accept my login Has the possibility to be a valuable App but it does not help now I would like to have it updated and patch up the nonworking parts     Needs a lot of work

It wont work on itouch very well and I cant get the web site to sign up for my account to work either To bad it should work better to bad        Doesnt work well

Loaded the app went online with my desktop and created an account at open aprs When I log in with the desk top it says hello and shows my position When I enter my email address and same password in iaprs and log in I get an error message that says Setup Needed OpenAPRS account needs to be verified See Help for details Helps says to go to the configure screen and enter your information which I did Useless loop and useless program Not worth the time to download Yes I am a ham and use APRS on my THD72A     Useless App does not work on iphone 4

I got the account setup and verified but like so many has saidthe app refuses to accept the verification any ideas on fixing this        Any help

The app doesnt tell you that you have to pay 399 for OpenAPRS to work so you end up paying almost 800 to get this app to fully operate APRSIS isnt as accurate as other apps It doesnt allow you to track another station for a specific time WA3ERQ2        Works OK but not great

I have been trying for two weeks to get verified by OpenAPRS so that this app can be used NOTHING And no way am I going to PAY 499 to get instant verification from OpenAPRS to use iAPRS Totally useless app     No verification No use for the app

Works great with IOS 7 Havent had any issues It informs you the type of transmitter and sometimes you can get the frequencies The refresh rate could be a little faster Other then that its definitely worth a try I even came up on here                 Pretty Cool

iAPRS uses both OpenAPRS and APRSIS Backbone These are two different approaches and mixing them into one application is confusing despite extensive instructions I realized the features that I want are available only in the backbone which is the paid pro version No problem I purchased the pro version It is only then that I find out there is no inapplication method for getting the key iAPRS wants to use Apples email application to request the key I do not use Apples email client so enabling access to APRSIS is a dead end for me Further the key is not coming from the developer and there is not guarantee a key can be obtained So in short the pro version is a contribution to the developer with no additional features I actually have an OpenAPRS account but it is too much work to find the password and I do not get the features desired in this mode anyways From what I see the mapping capabilities look good However without positioning there is little use for this app     Setup Confusing and Unable to Request Key

Needs to be able to act as a software TNC and Igate Needs to be able to run in background and beacon automatically in background Remove mandatory SSID Needs ability to do 300 baud and work with HF APRS as an audio TNC Add these features and I will add more stars     Needs Major update

Cant get registered rendering this app a waste of space on my iPhone Been trying to register for over a week     No good

Same problem reported by another user I got my Open APRS account was verified but the app refuses to recognize it It keeps insisting I need to verify Crazy     Endless Loop

This app runs flawlessly on my iPhone 5 Its easy to setup assuming you can read and have a clue or have used other APRS smartphone apps and tracks with ease Thanks for an excellent app that runs and runs without any negative issues                 Flawless Works Great
