Ive used this for a little over a year now and it was great then Now it is amazing Every change Ive hoped to see has been done in the free updates One of my favorite and most used apps                 Amazing and Getting Better

There are times when it will not render a page at all It will display a checkered grid Please fix        Please fix page rendering

I read and correct depositions on this app instead of printing out a paper copy so I am saving hundreds of dollars every year not having to buy paper and toner and printing out paper copies to proofread That reason alone is the best reason ever to use this app This is the best thing I have discovered in a long time Bravo IAnnotate                 Great App

Have used this app for a couple years and found it very useful Recently started to use it to view and markup large blueprint style files and this app has failed me Way too long to render and crashes more than half the time Too problematic Now looking elsewhere        Used to like

Is a great app for annotation in English not useful in the Khmer language it does not allow you to highlight or underline The Note option works great in both languages           Iannotate PDF

This is my favorite app of all I use it constantly especially for grading I am a college professor I use the iPads voice recognition capabilities and am able to grade much more quickly than I used to on paper One suggestion how about a word count or character count utility It would help me catch out those sneaky students who attempt to bypass paper length requirements by changing fonts and adjusting margins                 Love this appsuggestion

Ive been looking for a good iPad PDF annotation app for a long time while also wondering when Apple would finally decide to either create a Preview for iPad or add Previews power into iBooks I started to write Apple and found people on the discussion boards talking about iAnnotate So far its given me what Ive been looking for                 So far so good

Not at all happy with latest update causes blank spots checkered in pdfs when scrolling or switching between tabs Please fix     Latest update beware

Loved this for years but now very frustrated It randomly does not send emails I have tried to contact the maker but they just ignore me        Dennis

The app works as described The one big drawback is it does not support iCloud Drive Please add           Nice PDF Editor Needs iCloud Support

There seems to be a minor improvement on the hand writing engine This improvement is rubbish is rounds everything For example I like the V to be sharp at the bottom and not to look like a U In general a zoom in writing function is missing There is no option for merging pdfs and you cannot move or rename files synced with Dropbox There hasnt been any change in features for a year now The only thing thats amazing is the customisable toolbar which is indeed the only reason that stops me from moving to the competition And even this feature needs improvement When reinstalling iOS or when updating to a newer iPad the customised toolbar is lost I am using 4 specific colours for highlighting specific stamps etc Configuring all this takes up to 10 minutes and isnt fun at all Saving the toolbar in iCloud or in Dropbox cannot be too difficult to implement since syncing is already implemented There is also an issue with the inbuilt screenshot snipping tool if you choose it you cannot cancel it anymore When you click the cancel button nothing happens Edit There not only is a lack of innovation but also the new update adds rendering problems especially when using several document parallel     Lack of innovation

Great place for all notes however the backup on google drive doesnt save all annotations Be careful when resetting ipad                 Essential product

iAnnotate is an amazing notetaking app for my classes It really helps me to take notes when professors provide PDF notes It also works with Word documents which was a pleasant surprise If you have any sort of PDF editing to do this is a great choice Also the file browser is pretty easy to use and is versatile                 Very useful tool

Like many I am having the same checkerboarding since the recent update The program isnt rendering properly I agree app used to be great now it is frustrating     Buggy

I have used this app forever love it The latest update has a bug in that the screen will go blank checkerboard This clears when you close the app and reopen but it is tedious I have no doubt it will be resolved in the next update                 Another Avid User 100

315 claims to offer bug fixes and minor improvements Rather it introduces a whole new bug where pages on documents simply do not render Quoting and relaunching constantly is not a good workaround Come on Branchfire Fix this     BEWARE of 315 update

Got the update which seemed to fix the paste functionality in the Text boxes but highlighting and working with notes is now a chore It was a really great app I am truly baffled 6282015 Just installed update Rendering of pages even in small documents inconsistent Often see grid of boxes Very disappointing     WowReally Disappointing

Ive been using iAnnotate for a long time and it still does some things for me that other PDF readers Ive tried cant match But I am frustrated that a recent update wiped all my files away My entire library disappeared I suppose they are in my iPad backup somewhere but this shouldnt happen        Disappointed in recent updates

this USED to be my favorite app It did EVERYTHING I need as an actordirectorvo Artist that I could possibly ask for HOWEVER in the most recent update many of the important features NO LONGER WORK Please fix the scroll tool to switch back between tools and scrolling the highlighter almost never works now at all as well as some other minor bugs It crashes EVERY TIME I try to import a new document Seriously MAJOR bugs need fixing Fix these and Ill bring my review back up to 5 stars As is I really cant recommend this app     PLEASE FIX BUGS

This now takes first place over PDF Expert from readdress which crashes all the time Plus this is much more user friendly and intuitive Excellent app                 Best pdf annotation program

I want to know how iAnnotate has been able to get away with the convoluted way one has to go about converting a Safari web page into PDF I contacted them over a year ago requesting a BOOKMARKLET to access from Safari Bookmarks and they told me they didnt know how Now Extensions are available from Apple for an App Development company to utilize and still no direct Safari Browser access And BUYER BEWARE They have no interest in streamlined PDF document backup to iCloud or iCloudDrive     EXTENSIONBOOKMARKLET AND ICLOUD

I absolutely love this app however there is one thing I would change I wish that you were able to text while still staying on the highlight mode It gets a little annoying turning highlight on and off just in order to move the text around Otherwise though all the features and all the ways that you can send it to yourself and keep the annotations is awesome              Fantastic but kinks to work out

I returned my Microsoft surface 3 because this made the iPad more useful to me Notating in this is much better than anything I could find on the surface                 Brought me back to apple

Im an academic so much of my time is spent reading and annotating PDFs I like to scribble notes in the margins This app would be much improved if it adopted features like a spell check or autocorrect ability in the type writer function a must if Im to stay with this app I in fact contacted the developers and asked if this would be a feature and I got no answer hence my low rating overall also a better handwriting interface my thoughts are much the same as CookieMast3r here an function which transforms annotations into an outline format for quick reference and review I love this feature in good reader On the brighter side I switched to this app for the better scrolling smoother reading experience and the great integration with cloud services like Dropbox and Google drive and these great features are keeping me with this appfor now        Spell check please

As an engineer and a businessman I have found this app to have the best features BUT I lost 25 years of work because it isnt widely known that you cant save your documents to iCloud I had to wipe my iPad clean and re download my files All documents were lost        Lifetime User

I have brought this up on the past several releases and it has never been addressed Currently when you Tap and Hold TAH an annotation you are given the option of copying said annotation This is fine The problem is that there are two types of annotations what I will define as a Token Class annotation and a Line Class annotation A Token Class annotation is anything that leaves a token typewriter text stamp bookmark signature etc It makes 100 sense to be able to copy these with a TAH on the iPad screen The Line Class annotation is anything that interacts directly with the text of the document namely highlighter underline and strikethrough It does not make sense for these annotations to be copyable for two reasons 1 gimps the dictionary lookup feature 2 not efficient 1 Dictionary Google and Wikipedia Currently there is exactly one 1 way to access these three resources in the app One must TAH the text select the text and wait for the Dictionary context bar to pop up With the current copy annotation implementation it is not possible to access this functionality on highlighted or other Line Class annotated text Since there is only one way to access this interface it is desirable that access to it is never blocked for any reason That is not the case as of this version of iAnnotate This is the strongest argument for why the Copy Annotation feature implementation should be modified 2 Efficiency There are currently four 4 ways to add a Line Class annotation one of which is the Copy Annotation feature The other three as you are aware include using the toolbar on the right of the screen selecting text and selecting the highlight tool from the popup options or activating the recently used tools popup and selecting the highlighter All of those latter three methods are a more efficient method of activating the highlighter than using Copy Annotation With Copy Annotation I have to select annotation TAH delay 1 copy annotation find my new text that I want to highlight delay paste annotation TAH delay 2 select new text change color optional but probable delay Those two TAH delays alone are expensive from a productivity standpoint As noted above it is clear that the current implementation of Copy Annotation does more harm than good by removing access to a key piece of functionality dictionary and Wikipedia lookup and replacing it with a redundant method to access another piece of already ubiquitous functionality Edit the text selection implementation captures punctuation making dictionary lookup cumbersome If I have a sentence Jony I need you to design a new phone and I double tap the word phone iAnnotate also captures the punctuation meaning it selects this phone The dictionary doesnt know what phone is and will fail to find the word As such users have to carefully back up the highlight to get rid of the punctuation At first I thought this was an iOS issue but upon testing in other apps and native ones this is an issue with the iAnnotate implementation I am a power user and have used this app from the beginning before Branchfire took over I use this app every single day for almost every use case that this app possesses The previous dev team was extremely responsive to changes like this based on feedback from users Im finding it more and more difficult to recommend this app to people over your 5 competitors Be responsive and fix simple issues     Copy Annotation Functionality Should Be Modified

It is no longer possible to create a flattened PDF which is the main reason to use this app The problem needs to be resolved Also issues like the lack of spell check in text boxes need to be resolved This is not a free app We pay for access and upkeep so these issues need to be resolved     The new update creates glitches that need to be fixed

I purchased this app to use with my pdf text books I am still getting used to the interface but it seems to offer the note taking and highlighting abilities I need Unfortunately I am having trouble getting the highlighter to select only one line of text at a time it selects up to five lines together I did some searches for changing the highlighter width but havent found a solution yet Overall I am pretty satisfied 10 is more than I usually spend on apps but I am still saving money by purchasing eBooks versus hardcover ones              Too thick

I was a strong supporter of this app However I found Goodreader which has a fantastic texttospeech feature It recognizes Onedrive not Skydrive as listed in iAnnotate The latter has not been updated to read my files and sync them in Onedrive The only feature I use now is importing Microsoft files and converting them to pdf so I can open them in Goodreader Sorry to leave but I needed more features           Found better app

I love this application I use this every day for my PDF files I love how you have so many productive tools to use with it Notes underline highlight email and the list goes on Thanks for a great application                 Use it every day

I love the highlight feature for books Much better than notability However it would be my go to for slides and note taking if it was more like notability If they improved the handwriting tool and made it mor intuitive then it would be a home run Still an essential                 Best for books

This is a great app It makes marking up notes super easy especially since the fact that you dont need wifi to use it makes it able to be used on the go                 Great app 1010 would type again

Im giving a 3 stars because if this app had the option to download ePub files it would be perfect Ive already mentioned a while ago also the option to open a black page like a word app in order to create my own PDFs If the developers come up with these updates I will give it 5 stars           Great app
