iAllowance (Allowance and Chore Tracker w/Sync)

This is just what Ive been looking for The only down side is when you have to scroll Not only do you have to find a blank spot otherwise you check off chores the major issue is getting the app to actually scroll It is very frustrating              Great App but needs improvements

I love the app and its amazing how much of a difference it made in my daughters behavior She now understands the value of money and can now relate to what the cost of things are and learning to make good judgement on what to buy The app helped us a lot and I love that my daughter can see her allowance on her iPad but me her Mom are the only ones that can edit Support is as good as anyone would ask for Responses were the same day with clear guidance on what to do Cannot recommend it more                 Great idea great implementation and excellent support

Have used this app for over a year now and love it I dont use it on more than I device so not affected any any sync issues Recently discovered a great new use for the app a tracker for my PT exercises Best part when I had a question I contact the developer and got a response and solution within 15 minutes Thanks for creating a great resource                 Great app fast help from developer

This app solved all my problems My kids wanted to be able to spend money when we were at the store but of course it was never with me and I never knew how much they had This allows be to track it and remove the money as they spend it at the store It also has the ability to have the kids have it on their iPads but not be able to edit things so no cheating                 Awesome app well worth it

I am so impressed with this app It was easy to setup and extremely flexible so we could make it work for our family With twin 10 year olds we wanted to be able to have both money banks where they could store their cash gifts from family members and earn a weekly allowance And we also wanted a chores system based on stars instead of cash where they could earn their weekend ipad time for daily weekly and school day chores Plus we needed the ability to have it sync on all our devices so both my husband and I could use it anywhere If we are at a store and we purchase something the kids are buying with their money we can deduct in the moment And in the mornings they have their checklist of chores easily available to mark what they have done Then as parents we can go in and all at once approve their chores This app does it all When I ran into issues I emailed them and they responded within hours with instructions on how to do what I wanted to do I rarely write reviews but this app is a winner                 Amazing app and support

For those of you with kids We have always paid our kids for chores and had them split the money between spending savings and giving That is pretty hard to keep up with Sometimes I didnt have cash or pay them on the right days or we would be out and they would want to buy something but we didnt know how much they had earned I started using this app a few years ago I had an issue early on and emailed the support and got immediate response The kids use different devices to check off chores but they dont get actual money until I log in and approve that they did each chore different chores for different kids on specific days I can check how much they have from my phone There have been lots of updates and it just gets better I highly recommend this I tried many others but they didnt allow me to set things up on multiple devices or give so much flexibility                 Perfect solution

I started using this app to help keep my kids and house organized With 4 kids it gets a bit hectic So far it has been great I had one issue that I emailed support they helped me get through my confusionas I stated it was my confusion Great app one thing I would love to see in this app is something similar to the apple family sharing to where all my kiddos could have it on their devices and as they check it off on that device it would automatically sync and update on a parent device Currently they have it on their device but the updates never make it to all of our devices I have to manually go in and change everyonesMaybe its impossible but I would pay just about anything for that                 Excellent

Been using it for a month now on multiple devices My wife or myself can assign task and withdraw money Kids love it and use it daily Has been an amazing app this summer and kept the kids focused all the time But the sync is slower than tar with Dropbox Sometimes I wait 20 min for it to sync if I havent loaded on a device in awhile 5 stars of sync was faster 4 without              Great concept Slow sync

Ive been using this app for over a year with my two boys Its the best allowance app Ive seen easy to use no bugs and lots of good features Everything is pretty intuitive and the graphics are simple and pleasing I had one minor problem due to my own error and the app owner helped me via email almost immediately after I requested help I was really impressed I highly recommend this app                 Fantastic app to manage a kids allowance plus more

We use this daily in our family to track kids chores and act as a mobile bank for the kids when shopping I split the payment for each chore in half half to savings and half to spending Every once in a while the kids deposit their savings into the real bank Nice with family sharing I paid for app once and while family has it Set myself up as parent so kids cant cheat Kids love it as they can monitor growth in wealth and have become very careful with sending their own money Only complaint is with synching iCloud requires you to log in with same ID on all devices So I use Dropbox but it is slow But developer is very responsive t complaints and suggestions Update Despite developer support synch between devices using drop box still not working Still love the app but weve resorted to printing out chore list and keeping track on just my device Sure wish they could fix the synch feature              Great Family App

If you will se this app one device only it may suit your needs After several months tech support and multiple updates this app simply does not sync The new sync client is equally useless as the previous This app does not in any way allow my wife and I to record chores for one child and have the info update on each others device I have an iPad and an iPhone and my wife uses her iPhone No information entered on any device shows up on any other device ever     Does not sync

I have had this app for a while and Ive really liked it until recently Recently it has started to not retain the information or checks marks made One day check marks are entered but then the next day all marks are gone                 Like but with concerns

Ive been using this app for a few years now to track my three kids accounts It syncs nicely between my devices my wifes devices and theirs I can set up everything I need for their allowance and the calculator on the transaction screen is super useful I had a question on how to add interest returns to the accounts and the developer got back to me within hours Amazing                 Awesome customer service

A parenting class recently suggested that I set up a poster board to track and reward my boys behaviors I decided to use this app because I wanted to do this from my phone and iPad and have our nanny do the same from her phone synced via Dropbox I modified the chores heading to apply more broadly to earnings rewarding both targeted behaviors and chores and inserted the boys pictures into certain descriptions Love how customizable it is Its only been two weeks but Im impressed Im glad this app was out there                 Very useful

I keep track of allowances and special spending funds for my two daughters with this app It is easy and quick to enter items that I buy for them with their allowance usually because we are out and they dont have their wallets My eldest loves clothing so I record a quarterly clothing budget amount in a separate account for her and enter the cost of items as they are purchased This works wonders to stay within a budget There are many more features that we dont use the app is excellent I have shown it to friends that now use it too                 Great app Been using it for years

This is a great app for assigning chores and keeping up with allowance It easily syncs using my Dropbox account and the online videos are very helpful My boys 9 11 love having a list each day and seeing the fruits of their labor I did have to contact customer service once and they were very helpful and quick to respond To get the most out of this app buy the full version with family sharing It is well worth the money and your kids will thank you Just beware the allowance builds quickly                 Great app

The iAllowance app has worked great for tracking allowance I really like that the weekly allowance can be deposited directly and that we can debit the account while in the store In the old days wed have buckets of coins and bills and then wed forget to put weekly allowance in and forget to take money out when we returned from the store I really like the sync feature so that mom dad and the kids can check balances on any device But what I was REALLY impressed with is the support I had a small problem with the app where the legacy sync and dropbox stopped working together nicely not sure if it was an app issue a dropbox issue or a kid changed a setting issue and our file got corrupted The developer the actual developer worked directly with me to sort out the problem and to fix up our data file That is customer support                 Good App Great Support

I have been always wanted a way to track my kids chores and rewards This app works really well on my kids Immediately my kids do all of the chores without me reminding them Their behavior improved as well I can see them working very hard for the rewards I set up As for the app there is a critical problem where the sync messes up itself when using with multiple devices For example transactions doesnt match with the chores completed counts This is critical because my kids cant track the chores and rewards from their iPad Or else I will give a five stars Edit definitely a 5star app Incredible support bug fixed almost immediately Now the app is robust Thank very much                 Incredible support best parenting app

My children are at the tween age where they are really testing the waters to see what they can get away with I grew tired of constantly yelling nagging them to get their daily chores done We were at the point where they I ignored their chore charts on the fridge check marks and payouts went forgotten Now I dont nag the app sends them a timed reminder for certain chores and they quickly caught on when their allowance totals were their for them to see Now they ask me for extra chores so they can earn their extra cash for long awaited prizes Having a bank total really helps them make smarter decisions about making impulse buys at the store Customer support is AMAZING He answered all our questions when we were trying to decide if this app was a good fit And hes always willing to answer any other questions WORTH every penny                 Great app Saved my sanity

Ive been using iAllowance for a couple years now and Ive been really pleased with it The other day I managed to muck things up in the app and it seemed that it was no longer syncing to Dropbox nor saving locally on my iPhone I shot a note off to techsupport on a Sunday afternoon I was amazed when I got a response and my problem resolved within a couple hours Excellent                 Excellent Tech Support

My main beef with this app has to do with synching We have this app on multiple devices so our kids can add to their totals on their own The problem is that you can lose data from time to time across multiple devices Currently the app is adding chores that werent performed or added by anyone in the family I cant see chores on my iPhone 6 that were added to the iPad Weve tried deleting the app and reinstalling but that isnt working like it did before Weve had to delete and reinstall the app several times over the last several months and its very annoying        Has potential but not reliable

I dont often take the time to write reviews but this app has been so transformative for our family that I couldnt resist We have tried several times to have a chore list and set allowances but this time we tried the iAllowance appand had amazing results I think the key difference this time is that we kept the mandatory chore list very shortonly the basics reallybrush teeth make beds clean room etc and didnt pay for those items Then we created a long list of paid items that the kids could pick fromand let them choose which items they wanted to do Iron dads shirts for a quarter each Vacuum pays 025 per room The kids are now competitive trying to get the chores they want to do done first Wow I hope this app helps your family the way it did ours It has been a blessing                 Exceptional

Why does it still keep crashing It only opens for a second or two and when I chose a child it crashes iPhone 5 what is up Im so frustrated Really want this to simplify our allowance across the familys devices But keeps crashing Help     Love the ideas Keeps crashing

When my kids want to buy something they generally have to use their own money So I keep track of their allowance balances less any fees they get docked for not doing required chores plus gift money they get from grandparents on my phone using this app At the store I can tell them instantly how much money they haveif they choose to buy the item I immediately take the money from their accounts It is great to be able to log what they spent the money on in case they dont believe their current balances And the support is wonderfulI received help almost immediately for a minor technical issue and on a Sunday night too                 So convenient to always have the kids wallets

very helpful app slight learning curve for set up appears to be able to accommodate all scenarios so far knock on wood customer service answers email at lightning speed Im very impressed                 Customer service rocks

I hate the set up of this app Especially for the price I paid do NOT waste your money It should be a little more selfexplanatory then it is The tutorial is fairly poor Then all you are left with are the videos Each video by the way is 510 minutes long and cover one set up or problem at a time     Disappointed

I love this app because its a great way to teach my kids ages 8 and 6 financial responsibility I especially love the ability to set up different banks with different interest rates Each of my kids gets two banks one thats for savings with 5 interest and the other for college with 10 interest All money they get from choresgifts gets split 5050 between the two banks and the college bank is untouchable no withdrawals Its showing them what a big difference interest rates and saving makes when they compare their balances As my kids get older Ill take more advantage of the chore tracking functions I think this is the best app out there and you cant start too early teaching your kids about earning and managing their money                 Invaluable app

As other reviewers have said the sync does not work properly I like the concepts of the app its very configurable to do most of what I want But it just does not sync reliably between devices and that makes the app worthless to me If the sync is improved iCloud or whatever I will probably come back because otherwise I liked it     Sync does not work

Getting it all set up has been a challenge Its mostly my disorganized deal though I like the app so far                 Love it so far

This app is a standout in the genre It provides both power and flexibility to fit whatever chorerewards system that suits your family I would consider that we are power users and push the app to its very limits Even so it performs beautifully with only a few features missing that would make it 7 stars out of 5 I give this app my highest recommendation Its well worth the money                 The MOST useful parenting app in my arsenal

This looked like a great solution until I tried to set it all up This app will have access to all of your Dropbox No way I didnt see that the app would have access to all of my Dropbox account No way Need to sync another way I deleted all the apps Would like my money back     Access to all of Dropbox To sync

It is a good App with lots of potential for improvement I am not associated with the App developerfamily so I can be more honest here The touch interface is sort of difficult for scrolling for example if you want to scroll you have to find an open spot otherwise it will check whatever box your finger is on Second you can customize a chore but its not easy and very hard to figure out they have Mowing Lawn as a chore in their examples but not Vacuuming Over all it is a good App with much potential but figuring out the Stars Vs rewards or whatever is very hard for both kids and parents trying to figure out what is a starting or what the kid must earn well three weeks later we still havent quite figured that out We are a family who uses Apps all the time so I know its not our inability to learn or determine ease of use           Good but hard to learn
