Hydra - Amazing Photography

Im sorry people but its very misleading to read the bad reviews as they are irrelevant Clearly this app was designed to take massive advantage of the power of iPhone 6 specificallywhich is exactly what I want a strong photo app to do With that in mind dont complain and if you do have a 6 believe me this app should have thousands of 5 star reviews Its that good                 Stop the bad reviews

I put this on my iPad air and got terrific results I wish it had a timer and the ability to use the front camera                 Terrific Pictures

Best feature is high res mode but it tells you that you cant use it if you are not able to keep your device still for a millimeter     Not allowed to move for high res mode

This sonftware generates a lot of heat in the device my phone is iphone 5s I think this app is not normal And dangerous for device If someone has another experince pleas saying it              It is causing global WARMING

I dont see any good difference this app add to the photos and videos on the contrary if you carefully focus on the captured images youll note they are blurred in some areas What this app does is it captures many photos for the same thing and combine them together so you have to keep your hand still for like 20s or less which is impossible most of the time Believe me this app doesnt worth your     Overhyped

Actually I think it has a large difference between the native camera and Hydra Highresolution If you use it to shot distant place it can get much clear and sharp image than the native one Actually the image of close place is little better but the distant one is much better Zoom By the help of highresolution we can crop the small area of the picture and without the loss of the quality Its the most useful way of this app lowlight little better than the native one But if you can use the highresolution camera I recommend you to use it because lowlight only takes about 10 photos but highresolution one takes about 60 photos HDR cant see large difference than the native one If you want to get sharp image this app is very useful But you have to know that it only can be used in the frame without moving things If something in your frame moves vibrantly this app is useless                 very impressive

I have tried numerous camera apps and Hydra is without a doubt my favorite It allows you to take great quality photos in very challenging lighting situations while at the same time being very easy to use The quality of the photos I have been able to get is unsurpassed This is the first app review I have ever done but I like Hydra so much I had to take time to do it                 My go to camera app

If youre a photographer or videographer I have confidence you will like this app It shoots well and doesnt disappoint                 Almost as good as a DSLR

I went to school for photography and this app changed how I take pictures with my iPhone forever I find it works best with a tripod or something to steady the phone but its basically like I have a telephoto lens The only thing I wish was they would work on is the colors of the HDR but I can always edit that later                 Best Photo App Ever

I thought this app would be gimmicky because of the promise of seemingly impossible features This is the only app Ive ever given 5 stars because it completely blew away my expectations and performs consistently well Its my go to camera app now and I would recommend to anyone The HDR mode is far superior to the stock camera app HDR video is really awesome and is very smooth The lolight is probably the second best feature It works sooooooo well The zoom mode is interesting And the best feature by far is the hires mode Two words 32 megapixels I have no idea how these various algorithms work but they do work Very well Also Hydra is the best looking camera app Ever Its also one of the few apps that perfectly strikes the balance between power simplicity and beauty This app looks like this would have been made by the Apple of yore Only one thing to keep in mind this app isnt really meant to capture moving subjects unless of course youre in the HDR video mode Every other mode requires at least 20 separate pictures to work properly Not necessarily a downside just something to keep in mind Otherwise this app is PERFECT Hydra if youre listening please dont change anything about this app Its perfect at this moment in time 65 stars Well worth the 499                 WOW

It was a great application when I was able to use it but on iOS9 and iOS 91 it just straight up crashes when you try to open the application I hope this gets fixed I really like this application Ill change the review to five stars when it stops crashing     iOS9 and iOS 91 users beware

Extends the feature set of builtin camera app with amazing digital zoom and hires options HDR is decent too There is room for improvement in the algorithm hires sometimes produces spotted artifacts HDR overdoes color but no other app I have tried does better and the ease of use in this one is off the charts                 Best camera app hands down

This app is truly is amazing Is incredible what I can do with my photos now And 49 megapixels on the iPhone 6s is unbelievable                 Amazing

You really cant tell much if any difference between built in HDR shots and Hydra Keep in mind I regularly shoot in conditions that require an SLR and a lens at an aperture as low as f14 or 12 ie very expensive primes I was prepared to be very excited about this app but it was very underwhelming in indoor underlit conditions Not dark mind you but something the basic lenssoftware cant handle Well neither could Hydra Two stars because it takes fine pictures but is not worth spending money on        No better than the built in camera

Ive owned the OS X version for going on 4 years now and can tell you this company makes awesome software Now the iOS version is just as awesome but here are a few tips HDR requires the taking of several photos and then mixing them in order for the finished product to capture the huge Dynamic Range that makes it look awesome Most if not all other iOS sos take 2 photos one light one dark then get blended Hydra will take up to 10 photos This process makes it a bit slow But if you hold your phone still enough it will give you rewarding results So far the images Ive taken far far out perform the ones from other apps This app almost does HDR video Sure it takes a few seconds Its supposed to This works the same on a DSLR Thats how HDR images are made So for everyone complaining get over it This is not McDonalds this is a Sirloin steak                 The Best HDR for iOS Period

unfortunately it is not 32 megapixel i got a photo and compare to a similar photo with samsung galaxy note 4 their photo is not clear and it is cery bad it is not worth 1 pence     work with this software

I can confirm that the high res mode does work I use my phone to take photos of small electronic components and their labels Normally after the photo is taken and cropped the text is barely readable 8MP just isnt enough but with this app the resolution stacking really works and the output is much clearer Im impressed                 Bought it for the high res mode

Finally an HDR app that crushes everything else to date Fast responsive simple and worth every penny Takes low light photos and manages to produce the cleanest images possible by removing all noise through multiple exposures                 Whoa

Let me just start out by saying i absolutely love this app It takes great high quality photos if your still it takes entirely too long to take a photo So if your trying to take a quick picture of your pet or animal its not gonna happen Or if your outside and its windy its not going to happen Center is perfect but everything else is blurry and you cant even decipher what is in the picture And secondly it KILLS my battery no other app has killled my battery like this does If the battery issue and the amount of time to snap a pic gets fixed ill give 5 stars Besides those issues its PERFECT              Great but could be perfect

I am in Thailand and this app has allowed me to great photos in low light or outside at night that I dont even attempt to take with my expensive DLSR being able to adjust the settings before saving the photo is awesome                 Captures photos I thought would be impossible to take

I bought this app for Apple watch support but it performs much worse than Apple built in app 1 you have to unlock your iPhone and open Hydra each time to use 2 the video feed is very delayed and is more like a still image every few seconds 3 it locks a lot All this on the latest iPhone 6 plus What a waste of 5     Apple watch support poor

Great for taking pictures of scenes with no movement Not as useful for moving scenes unless shooting HDR video It would be more useful if it had a HDR photo mode more similar to Googles stock camera app as that allows some movement Overall great app and far outshines Apples native camera app for specific shots                 Great app for still shots and HDR video

Had this app for 10 minutes and already Im so impressed                 Remarkable

Few suggestions add manual focus slider could be optional via settings add exposure slider or separate square for it or ideally use apples add some kind of timer 12 sec is enough to get your finger off the display and thus not introduce camera shake in the captured image You have to know this app is not for taking pics with a lot of movement Compared to the stock app the quality is much better and noise is completely gone at the expense of some fine detail The 36mp mode is incredible I didnt believed it till I saw it Keep it up guys                 Fantastic

I have to disagree with previous poster I find this app works much better than the native iPhone HDR It takes several exposures and gives you the option as to how dramatic a result you want Also if you take a picture of moving water it will also simulate the effect of an extended exposure Great results I have not tried the video options but the other camera options do give good results Zoom in particular They just need to add shutter delay for improved HDR results              HDR is significant improvement over native HDR

Not seeing a huge difference in resolution over the builtIm app And I think the HDR is just ok I think FotorHDR does a better job in this respect           Just ok

This replaced basically every shooting app I had on my phonewow Didnt crash once while using explored every camera mode which all worked phenomenally in controlled conditions albeit Cant wait to try it out in the real world                 Seriously though

This does not work All I get when I take a photo is a creepy photo in which also you have colors off of the subject If you cant keep your hand PERFECTLY still then Dont Download     This is horrible and horrendous

I have played a lot with this app for some days and found that it is a hitormiss when it comes to the final photographs Let me explain The low light feature is not worth it at all Compared to the standard iPhone camera there is not enough improvement to support the high cost of this app Since Hydra takes multiple shots of the same scene it is imperative that you keep your hands steady and more importantly there should be no moving subjects in the photograph or else it will be a total waste Where this app excels is in HDR again for stationary subjects If there is a high contrast scene stationary the app does a wonderful job of blending the multiple exposure shots to produce a photograph that is superior to the native iPhone camera In my humble opinion this app is overpriced for what it is capable of doing It is a very niche photography app and is not supposed to replace your standard iPhone camera           Does a few things well

Hydra is an awesome app although it crashes on this beta version of iOS              Please add support for iOS 91

I have a very expensive stacking program for astrophotography that doesnt do it as well as this does 4x zoom seems to be stretching the lens resolution not the apps fault thats a lot to ask of optics but 2x works well High resolution mode is very impressive                 Im impressed
