This is a great app to record lectures or interviews Its almost scary how much sound the app picks up                 Great app

I like the recorder but it needs the ability to insert audio at a given point without overwriting previous audio Do that you get 5 stars Thanks              Good Recorder

One suggestion for the developer Please change one of the colors for the Send as Email to buttons as soon as possible Using two shades of green is very confusing and can cause users to email a recording to the wrong person Thank you                 Excellent Highly recommended

I use this constantly Consistently records clearly Playback is simple with some useful editing features Compression works very well Love the upload to Dropbox feature Ive owned this for several years and have yet to be disappointed Best Ive found for the iPhone                 Outstanding

The most advanced highest quality recorder I have ever owned let alone app on my iPhone The first time I used it was taking what I thought to be a wild shot by trying to record a particular bird call I like that Ive only heard in one small area in the Sonoran Desert and then only for a few minutes when the sun rises and sets each day Fooled me Those birds had to be 20 yards or more away but it recorded it like they were right beside me Great job Get this app and youll never use the crappy one that came with your phone again                 Amazingsquared

First app that I have paid for and worth it Does everything it says and is easy to use Tutorial is helpful                 Solid versatile easy to use app

Thus us the first reviser I have written for any app I would give 5 stars if the few bugs were not there but am giving 3 stars till then dont let that stop you downloading it This has the potential to be a great app but has one major and several minor bugs This app will record a lecture in a class full of people and the teacher can still be heard a slight downside is that if there is any noise around you ie someone unzipping their backpack coughing etc the sound focuses on that noise and the main subject is muted for a second or two The main bug is that when you have initiated the recording you expect it to just keep recording but what happens is that the phone screen first dims then locks now if you get a text SMS missed phone call or a sound reminder that someone left you a voice mail the recording stops So when you log back onto your phone to stop the app you see that its already stopped and you have a huge part of the recording missing seems like it can not work properly in the background I love that fact that a 3 hour recording is around 400 mb which can be compressed to 40 mb I have not tried to use the editing features yet so can not comment on them They could be used to remove periods of inactivity and thus shorten the lecture The playback allows you to skip forwards or backwards 5 seconds each time you press it it would be useful if it allowed you to just keep your finger in the button and automatically just started skipping forward or backwards           Great app but has Major bug

This is a very full featured sound recording app The silent mode functionality is excellent Has many export options in addition to standard email For me being able to export my voice recordings to Dropbox is HUGE and I have a separate folder in Dropbox just for voice memos from this app Voice quality is excellent A couple areas I hope the developer considers 1 Although there are many export options there is no option to export your voice recording as a voice message The only app I know that can do this is Apples native Voice Memo app It is a great feature when you dont want to bother typing a text message 2 The UI is very Spaceship themed but relatively nonintuitive and busy Of course this app can do a lot of things but the UI needs some work to try to make all that functionality less cluttered looking 3 I use this app on my iPhone and iPad The UI looks pretty nasty fuzzy in 2x mode as it is a pretty lowres rendering There is an iPad version of this app but buying the iPhone AND iPad versions of this app would be a very expensive proposition Customers would certainly appreciate a universal version and it would make the app even more attractive But all that aside this is a 5 star sound recording app Make the changes in 13 and Apple will need to add some more stars to its rating system                 Lot to like about this app

I downloaded this works great 5stars However when an update becomes available which is usually a good thing this app and THIS APP ALONE demands that verification required beyond the usual appleID password request Why this additional request for a password It feels like a phishing attack to harvest appleID passwords This company needs to explain why no other apps need this when updating apps via AppStore iTunes Updated rating with new reasonable doubts 1star     Possible phishing attack tool

Ive tried many apps for recording and this is definitely the best I am glad he added the trash folder for times when you mistakenly erase I hope this app is updated for iOS 6                 Amazing

Ive had the app for close to two years and up until six months ago it worked fine At times when I need to record the app wont work unless I power down my iPhone When I complained about it to the app creator he said no one else was experiencing the problem so he couldnt help When I complained a second time my email was ignored When you pay 699 for an app you expect better customer service        App needs improvement

Looked at lots of apps before I decided to spring for this one but it was well worth it Records reliably Just set it and no need to think about it again Excellent sound quality on the recordings Easy to import into ITunes or onto your desktop I like the Compress feature so the files are smaller You can also email files that are shorter than 1 hour from directly within the app Like the ability to set bookmarks Like that editing can be done right within the app Every time I use the 55 second feature I wonder why on earth ITunes doesnt have a similar feature Makes finding specific segments easier Takes some time to learn the UI but there is an easy to follow users manual Great app I use it all the time                 Reliable Excellent Sound Quality

I like the app it excellently does its job Use it regularly for my lectures However there should be following improvements 1 pls change interface Its kinda nerdy It takes time to get used to it 2 google drive support would be nice addition Other than that everything is good so far              Good app

Somethings wrong with it using up so much battery life It happened after one of the updates        Uses up a great deal of battery life

Recording and sound quality seem to be the best so far of all the recording apps Ive tried The no record on silence is an excellent option File size sharing option is also a plus The only problem is the UI is pretty bad Might have looked nice back when we had iPhone 3 but this is iPhone 5 The UI needs revamping and needs to really live up to the retina display              Good with one exception

Ive used this app for years now and its never let me down Im a reporter and this app works excellent for recording meetings and oneonone interviews in noisy environments I recommend it to all my colleagues Its probably the best money Ive spent in the App Store The latest update continues to show the developers commitment to this app which is refreshing to see The update is a nice refresh while maintaining the core UI UPDATE Glad to see the developers are continuing to provide support and squashing the little bugs that pop up                 Simply the best

I use it to record visits to the doctor Use the skip silence modeflawless The things you forget when youre talking with your doctor its great to be able to go back and double check REALLY That said Remember its illegal to record a conversation in many states without 2 party consent I live in Virginia which is a 1 party consent state which means as long as I consent its ok Great when Im talking to the cable company too That bill just goes up and up Its nice to have some proof about that great deal they set up but never seemed to reach the billing dept not that it seems to matter in the end lol                 Great recording app

Have been using this app for a few years now and it keeps getting better and better I record lectures interviews and also use it to practice my own talks Love the new waveform visualization and also the compression option saves lots of space while maintaining quality Definitely worth the money                 My goto recording app Best audio recorder

Oct 13th 2013 I was looking for a recorder I could append recordings to at will HT is fantastic at this Even reopening recordings from the library are easy to add to The quality and the options for recording depending upon environment ie person to person classroom conference are great This is one of the few 5 stars ive given this year If I had to suggest an improvement it would be to redesign the main screen to increase the size of the New Rec Play etc buttons                 Fantastic

I have used this app consistently for a few years even though I have tested several recording apps This has been the best Recently I got a new iPad and had an issue of downloading this app again The company responded within a short time and answered all my questions over a few times The product is wonderful and the service is as good as its product                 a wonderful app with excellent customer service

Compared to other recorders even the UI is not delicate but good to use However there should have been an option about the quality of recording rather than js 16 KHz Whats more if I could change the the title showing on the top bar when Im recording that will be great recording without suspects              Just not bad still need to improve

What a great app I just used it to record an hour long meeting for work where I was supposed to keep track of peoples questions for laterso simple to do with the bookmark feature Love how it saves space by optionally skipping silences great intuitive interface just really well done Cant comment either way on this alleged battery issue since I happened to have my phone plugged in the whole time anyway Thanks for a great app                 Well done

The battery issue has been previously stated The authors state it is compatible with the iPad Yet after loading on my iPhone a day later I go to my iPad and the store tells me an additional purchase is required Hence the 15 plus tax RIPOFF Shame on this company Beware purchase of ANY software from Applied Voices LLC     15 RIPOFF Plus consumes excess battery

I love the skip silent function its so useful However since we cant edit while playing its difficult to decide exactly at what seconds we should set startend points a little annoying when we have to play and stop several times Moreover the bookmark points would be very convenient if we could give each of them some specific name rather than just stars              Quite nice but need some improvement

I would not call this app intuitive except perhaps the basic record stop and playback part The app itself however will open up a nicely illustrated users manual and it is not difficult to understand or learn This app has been great for college use The sound is nice and clear on my ipad even recordings off my speaker phone Lots of choices for export including over wifi as well as dropbox and email I did hesitate over the price unsure if I would get a lemon Now that I have it I consider it money wellspent                 Easy to learn

WONDERFUL product I am a musician and this is my recording app of choice Is it possible to add a way to post to FB or do I just not know how yet                 HT Recorder

The recording quality is the best Ive seen among recorders But the interface is very clumsy and unintuitive Eg cannot name a recording once it has started have to wait for it to finish List of recordings is under the Library but to rename a recording youre looking at there you have to switch back to Recorder mode In short brilliant recording engine but the interface needs lots of work Also the wav file format it records cannot be played on Google Drive without downloading But perhaps this format is one reason for the great recording quality              superb recording quality clumsy interface
