What a delightful and charming application It is so intelligently done making learning the alphabet words and reading fun I dont know who enjoyed it more me or my little nephew As Rocket discovered the joy of reading and books it brought me back to when I first made that same discovery I can see how the book and the accompanying app will help my nephew take that same journey The illustrations the effects the audio and the games are all great                 The Joy of Reading

Very charming and sweet app The warm bright colors and engaging characters will make this a hit with young children who like to play while learning The landscape is drawn to create a wide canvas where characters and children using the app will find plenty of places to explore Rocket is an incredibly cozy animal who is an instant hit with children There are a variety of interactive features which are designed to entertain and instruct Ms Davis narration clear and fluid fits well with the overall tone of the experience 5 Stars                 Reading is fun

The kids love this one it is more interactive than any other book we have on our iPad yet none of that distracts from the story Weve read it 3 times today The games are great as well                 Such Charm

I love this book My kids keep coming back to it The story and illustrations are so charming and the learntoread message is spoton without being preachy Plus drawing in the snow is addictive A                 LOVE IT

I love the author of his book Tad Hills but was very disappointed in this app version of the book While there are interactive elements to this book it is very subtle movements of the dogs tail or a little nod of a head boring The games are slow and boring as well Even the narration is lackluster Compared to so many other great interactive app books out there this book falls way short It has already been deleted to make room for more engaging and educational apps Way over priced for what you get I just threw 5 out the window     Close but too boring

Thank you so much for making this book an ipad app My daughter adores Rocket and this is such a great way for me to carry the book around town It is so easy for her to navigate and she loves playing the games too Well done                 We Love Rocket

While this book captures the beautiful artwork of Tad Hills the pages are a bit hard to turn for a preschooler or me and the interactive features do not support or extend the content of the text While this is a good first try Random House could do more to make sure they are incorporating features that are helping students to comprehend the text not distracting them from the story              Good book but a bit gimmicky

The artwork background forest sounds and relevant beginning reading games make this a great app                 Absolutely enchanting

My daughter loves it great story and narrated by Hope Davis so you cant go wrong              Cool app

My 4 year old LOVES this book and so do I The story is wonderful and we keep finding interactivity locations on the screens each time we read the book Very sweet story and one we never tire of reading Since we downloaded this app two months ago we have read this book at least once each day Highly recommend this app                 Wonderful Story and Amazing App

I just wasnt that impressed with this interactive book I was expecting more interaction and the reading voice is dual most of the book The only nice thing is your kids can draw in the snow and play with the mud to make the dog all dirty and then shake him clean after The story is cute though and my kids seem to enjoy it ok           How rocket learned to read

This is such a sweet story were so excited that its now available as an app with great games to go along with it My preschooler is a huge fan loves listening to the story with the read aloud option He also loves the tilting alphabet game The artwork is amazing the animated details are phenomenal Definitely a worthwhile app                 One of Our Favorites

I bought this app to share with my four year old grandson It was such a success He is just beginning to read and he loved this winning story Following Rocket through each page of new letters and words as his tail wagged the snow fell and the wind whooshed just delighted my grandson as he tried to sound out the new words 5 Stars for this clever app                 Fantastic App 5 Stars

Just tried on my iPad air Second page of story has black background so words are not visible Does not let you stop during book and restart from the beginning even if you say not to resume from where you left off Otherwise Im sure itd be a very nice little book Cant really use until those are fixed        Has some problems

I bought this app for my niece and she absolutely loves it My neighbor who is a teacher and a mom of four kids recommended this app to me because its been the favorite picture book app in her house Once I had introduced my niece to the story of Rocket and the Little Yellow Bird she couldnt stop playing with the app Such a great story Rocket is a dog who cant read but he discovers his love for books when a little yellow bird shares a book about a dog who lost his favorite bone The app is absolutely enchanting and the illustrations are adorable I also really like the narration by Hope Davis she has such a warm voice and delivers a wonderful read On top of the highly interactive pages of the story this app also provides two educational games that help kids with learning the alphabet and memorizing sight words After my niece has practiced her skills with these games shes now going through the book and is sounding out words one at a time It really helps that the words are read out loud when kids tap them This app is not just fun and extremely innovative it also teaches kids the joy of reading and the power of friendship                 The Best Picture Book App

My 4 year old daughter just adores this book Great drawings and animation on some of them keeps her interested for a long time The voice of the reader is enjoyable Best book I have bought so far With the 2 games to play are a added bonus                 Fantastic
