My son is 35 years old He finds this app fun and entertaining I like that learning the the words involves playing with a truck and picking up letters with a magnet etcThe stories are simple and cute At the end he can decorate his award The songs that teach the sounds are catchy We bough the package Its worth it I highly recommend it My son not only cAn read but he enjoys it which is the most important What a great app to learn reading

This reading game has been instrumental in teaching the foundational skills of reading to my son Through it he has learned that he can read with only a little help from me It has also helped him build confidence in his reading skills while having fun My only complaint is that the game is a little too repetitive Makes Reading Fun
I consider HOP as an investment HOP is by far the most superior reading program and app for learning letter sounds sight words and sentences Your child will be reading in no time and having fun I purchased the entire program levels pre k 2nd grade for our homeschool We use this app to reinforce and practice lessons I have purchased other reading programs that have not delivered results like HOP These lessons are short and effective Nicely done HOP Best Reading App
My 5 year old daughter is reading after a couple weeks Its very entertaining and she really enjoys it Im very impressed We do use this app along with the Hooked on Phonics kindergarten reading system Together they work great I wish we would have started sooner Really works
However I was a bit disappointed that arent more than 12 steps Reading Pro is a bit too advanced for him and I do hope that more steps will be added to this one It just seems incomplete to really help with reading Keep adding more steps please or tell me where I can get additional steps Loved this for my six year oldbut seems incomplete

So I was really excited because this app is greatbut then I realized it only goes to step 12 This is just the kindergarden level When I look at the advertising is says for a complete reading program this is very misleading AND I can only use it on my ipad its not interchangeable between devices I paid 50 because I thought I was actually getting a complete reading program not just a kindergarten program False advertising not the complete program

I paid for a year subscription however it only goes up to step 12 and its only been about 3 months The app often kicks us out and we have to redownload steps I feel gypped because I paid 50 for a full subscription that is limited to 12 steps My daughter has most certainly learned to read from this app since she knew all the alphabet sounds She has been reading pretty well since she was 3 turned 4 in May Just wish there were more books on to the next app Good but not worth the
My 5year old loves this The videos the interaction and lessons are topnotch and work The first lesson is a sample Its worth buying the complete package for 50 the subscription is confusing and odd The physical boxed version we used on our oldest years ago that program cost much more and not nearly as engaging Overall well designed and is pretty much the core reading program youll ever need Excellent

We bought the app when my best friend said it worked He was dismayed his 5year old wasnt reading My daughter is 3 going on 4 and she can read a handful of 2 letter words in English before this no go up She reads more Chinese than English at this point Chinese is easier Weve had the app 15 minutes now and she suddenly started reading 3 letter words She is also genuinely interested in the app versus wanting to watch Disney Junior or play the Lego app The mix of song and words and puzzles is dynamic and filled with all the bells and whistles that kids love I am very impressed Reading in 5minutes

My son is 2 Hes 2 He recognized five words correctly after working through the lessons and one round of trying to figure out which words matched the sound This program is awesome I learned to read with hooked on phonics at 3 myself and I have attributed it with much of my success with spelling reading and writing For a demo this sure has me hooked

This is the best reading app in existence ABC Mouse has a more effective reward system but with a little bit of encouragement and supervision this app will reach your kids how to read Good to come into this app already knowing the names of letters Best reading app in existence
For the limited trial of this app I was surprised my great niece sat through it and thoroughly enjoyed it I wasnt completely convinced to purchase it but its definitely one I may consider Waiting for my kindergartener to try it out and see if it keeps her attention also Free trial

I wish I could give this app a higher rating but I cantbecause its useless without sound I spent money buying additional content but the sound doesnt work at all I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times to no avail I saw that this problem is on the FAQ on the website so I can only assume this is a common problem They claim that its the result of the vast amount of content included The problem with that excuse is that I have plenty of other apps with just as much multimedia content and they work just fine Pretty pathetic excuse Sound bugs

The first few levels went well Then the audio stopped working Now in addition to the missing audio the pictures are not syncing with the right books so my child cannot use any context clues from the illustrations It is very confusing for her We are extremely disappointed Terrible bugs
I have to say I was hesitant bout purchasing this for my kiddos But after sitting down and working with my almost 4 year old I am glad that I did go ahead in paying for it and downloading it My child has learned from this app we just started so hopefully he will enjoy it more and more as time goes on I would like to see the developers incorporate the letters and sounds like with a matching game Example would be for the letter D have the sound and have the child match it to the letter I think that would help with the beginning sounds of reading Other than that I have to praise it and give it 5 stars Thank you for developing this Great learning tool
Would have rated these 4 stars except what has happened recently Be very careful when purchasing the special offer buy the rest of the books the purchase wont go across other IOS devices you cannot restore purchases as well My grandson was reading these books and we had got through step 7when I was offered the special to purchase the rest of the books Before this I could purchase them on my IPAD and download them to the one I allow my grandkids to play on but not purchase items on After I made the purchase the app would NOT restore purchases to the other IPAD which it does on the individually purchased books It then charged me for both the special pricing and the individual books so I ended up paying double for the books Was charged double for books on the special pricing
Its exactly what I said in the subject I did the recent update and when my daughter went to open the app it says loading and then closes Weve tried opening the app numerous amounts of times and it does the same thing Sad and unfortunate thing is that now I have to reinstall it and my daughter has to do everything all over again to get her achievements back We are not happy about this Very disappointed Updated and now app doesnt work

I do not understand how an almost 50 app has advertisments on it but it does Not only do they advertise on the app they also want you to spend more money on the full program because this is only the fist group of lessons Hooked on Phonics is nothing but a money hungry misleading business do NOT buy from them The most expensive junk app ever created

I just installed this and played the free level with my 5 year old He was really into it So when the offer said 1995 for the 12 step system I decided to get it Come to find out the message then changed to 4995 I sure hope I didnt just buy a 50 app I hope to resolve this issue with developer ASAP Confusing in app purchase
This app is superior to other reading apps My daughter practically taught herself to read using this app Colorful fun and user friendly It also follows along with the HOP curriculum perfectly if you are using it or considering it I highly recommend this app for beginning readers Best Reading App

This isnt really a free app Its more of a free trial to something that actually works I have three sons My youngest has had difficulty learning to read where my first two just did it with no issues at all Needless to say we needed help Weve tried sight word flash cards workbooks games beginner books books with the little pen thing EVERYTHING This app is it My son was actually engaged and learning At the same time Amazing You play the first little level for free Its about 510 minutes depending on your level of reading readiness Once your child completes that you are given the option to purchase the entire program for 50 It seems like a lot It isnt So far this summer Ive spent hundreds on things to help me help him This is actually working though I wish we had found this sooner I could not recommend this more highly Pricey but great app
